So glad that the cafe is open again. The GF/DF cakes are honestly legendary and my non GF/DF grandmother loved it! Such a lovely tranquil atmosphere and a real gem of Wymondham!

Our go to place for the egg vending machine alone, simple pleasures are a treat as you get old! Open on Tuesday to Saturday now, good prices, all sizes and quantity of eggs and able to recycle the packages too.

Came for the first time with a friend this week and fell in love instantly. I am GF/DF and was completely overjoyed to see that one of the cakes was suitable for me - blueberry and almond on that day! Everything is reasonably priced and there is the most gorgeous tiny shop within the cafe. Plenty of places to eat and drink your tea and cake whether it is outside, in the barn or even a henhouse! Couldn’t resist the egg vending machine too!

This place is just lovely. The owners are so friendly and accommodating, and they produce delicious cakes & drinks in a quirky setting. You can take your pick of places to have your refreshments, there’s a little shed, a conservatory or outside if it’s warm enough. The cakes are to die for and the hot chocolate is one of the best anywhere.

The Hen House is a great place to visit. In the winter you can enjoy coffee and cake in one of the snug huts and in the summer you can sit outside in glorious surroundings.

I have visited several times great choice of coffee and teas ,with the bonus of home made scones and cake. The gift section is very useful from interesting cards to pottery and cushions. Several cold drinks available, which are not full of sugar and additives. It is a great setting on a working farm, which you must bear in mind (It isn't a play area).Good to see a farm diversify, and a Young woman making a go of her business, please keep it up

Lovely and quirky with friendly staff. I love the decor of the place and the lovely sheds to sit in were something a bit different and fun. They had lovely books to keep my baby entertained whilst we enjoyed our coffees. The only thing that let it down was that they serve hot drinks in paper take-away cups and it would have been much nicer (and environmentally friendly) to have a nice mug or teacup.

Overpriced unwelcoming and altogether pretty poor . The attitude of the staff made me feel looked down upon and in the way. Produce was overpriced and some completely irrelevant to the theme of the hen house. When asked what else there was to see we were greeted with its a working farm you know in other words nothing

I visited on a lovely sunny day for a catch-up with a friend and we enjoyed good coffees (they have soya milk), tasty cheese scones and cordials. The setting and decor is quirky and tasteful and I would recommend a visit. The only disappointment was the small size of the paper cups that drinks are served in. I had 3 drinks while I was there and still went away thirsty.

Just love everything about the Hen House A beautiful serene setting, amazing cakes with a beautiful glass of elderflower cordial, or a hot drink if that's your preference, just sitting in the sun or a beautiful Hen house is just idyllic. Heated Hen houses & blankets for colder Norfolk days. Everything about the Hen House says sit back and relax from the resident dogs to the lovely owner. And don't forget to by your fresh eggs before you leave. 😘💕🍰🍰👏👏 A nice range of unusual but very good quality gifts.

A lovely quiet and slightly eccentric cafe. If you want a cup of coffee or tea and maybe a home made cake, this is the place to go if you are nearby or visiting the Abbey. Set in the garden of a beautiful old farmhouse, seating is available in a number of renovated old sheds and hen houses, each just big enough for a family group or on your own if you wish. Refreshments are collected from the kitchen and small shop, through a door in the tail end of a flint barn. We sat out in the sunshine on an outside bench seat and watched people buying locally made ice cream, local eggs and jam. A quirky place on a par with many such places in New Zealand and well worth a visit to enjoy the freshly made tea/coffee (plenty of choice) and cakes. Made very welcome by Annabel.

The Eggs are great and can't wait until we get the new season pullet eggs to poach with asparagus. The Coffee shop followed the self service Egg Shed and it gives you the best/freshest coffee in Wymondham. The service is great - always with a smile and willingness to chat! Just need a savoury option, such as home made sausage rolls to make it perfect!! For me when working at at home a great place to drop in for a coffee, chat and a few minutes of peace and thinking time away from the "screen"! One of the best coffee shops visited and on a sunny day sitting outside, the best!

Visited for the first time last week. Wonderful spiced mocha with cheese scone, my lovely friend and I settled next to a warm stove in a beautifully decorated and furnished shed (out of a choice of 3 or 4!). Definitively going back - highly recommended for those who are looking for something a bit different. Fabulous!

I love it that The Hen House is on my door step and friends that I have taken there during the summer and winter months have also loved the place! Just chilling out in one of the shed's or cabins with your hot chocolate (so good!) and (what I always choose) the best Lemon drizzle cake in the world....is bliss! I now do not bother going anywhere else for my eggs, berry jam or lemon curd! A real treasure of a place! Have got used to them not being open on a Sunday now.

Having been to the Hen house for a birthday celebration in the summer, I popped back on impulse whilst walking my dog for a cup of tea and a cake.I was so impressed with the cheese scone that I bought more for my friends to try later that afternoon.I also bought 1/2 a dozen eggs which were great quality, the jam doesn't dissapoint either and even gets eaten before the chocolate spread in my cupboard.

One of the very best places to eat in Norfolk excellent food ,service and value. It's a really shame they don't serve alcohol. A glass of red wine would have gone down a treat with a beef pangang curry

A Roasting Good Time This little pub is a hidden gem. Their roast dinner is the stuff of legends. The meat is cooked to perfection, the veggies are spot on, and the Yorkshire pudding is fluffy and golden. The gravy? Divine. If you're a fan of a good roast, this is the place to be.

Such a wonderful place. The cakes and pastries are absolutely top notch. Also, usually find it difficult to get decent coffee in this country, but the coffee in Teles Patisserie is so good, really rich and flavoursome. Realky friendly people too. I'd fully recommend a visit.

My first time back for 6 years when Carorline still used to serve the "Naughty breakfast" in their old premises across the road. Now replaced by 3 others which includes the "Large breakfast "which is a feast. Consistent quality over three visits in a fortnight & a lovely warm welcome every time. Worth a trip all the way from Africa.

Dreadful ‘brunch’ experience Extremely poor customer service, one menu for 3 people, lack of interaction and information with a misleading menu. States they had a ploughman’s sausage roll which when we order we were told it wasn’t available. No signs as to what the cakes were, asked, the one we wanted although there were some on display were then ‘unavailable’ Ordered 2 diet cokes as husband is insulin controlled diabetic, 2 large glasses of coke arrived, I took a sip, and questioned what coke it was to be told she had indeed served us ‘normal’ coke….potentially very dangerous!! When the diet cokes then did arrive they were half the size of the original ones… There was also no ice. Cheese scone ordered, arrived dry and solid. There were only 3 other people in the cafe besides us 3, and we waited a ridiculous amount of time for food and drinks. When the toastee arrived rather than walk an extra few steps she lent over the banister, and 2 of our party to pass to me at the far end of the table when she could of just walked round and put it down in front of me. Overpriced and food disappointing compared to other local cafe’s. This was the first time we had visited and it will most definitely be the last. Give this terrible establishment a very wide berth!
