absolutely lovely servers. All of them absolutely beautiful people inside and out. Manon always topping up my Coors and Jessica making my decisions food beautiful great chef.ildi is amazing as well The gm is lovely always smiling and making jokes. All in all such an amazing place

It ages since we’ve been to a Harvester and we won’t ever be back. The service was appalling (50 minutes for fish and chips and a chicken skewer). The poor family next to us had to leave before their food arrived in order to get to the show at The Hawth. When the food arrived it was truly awful. The batter on the fish was soggy and the peas were cold and undercooked. My wife said she thought her chicken had been cooking for the whole 50 minutes. I don’t have the faintest idea how places this bad are still trading.

If you’re lucky a member of staff might notice you and welcome you into this soulless establishment and from there it gets worse. Orders were taken and the starter arrived 45 minutes later, mine was obviously a last minute replacement which looked like a bowl of vomit….very bland. A further 24 minutes later and the main courses, which had been sitting on the side arrived , and these were at best, tepid. After hunting someone down to complain an insincere manager came over with some half hearted apology. I ended up paying for the drinks and leaving. Servers were pleasant enough

The interior of the restaurant is extremely tired and depressing. The table on which I was seated hadn't been properly cleaned. The salad bar was not regularly serviced. I ordered a mixed grill, at least three of the meat selections were quite significantly under cooked, staff not available to deal with the problems, despite there being a notable absence of customers. Head office recognised the validity of my complaints, acknowledging as the cause recent staffing issues and promising to rectify, however, no offer of compensation was forthcoming. This was really a dreadful experience, visit at your peril !!

We went there on Saturday night and we knew that it’s going to be very busy and didn’t expect much, but we were pleasantly surprised of how well the restaurant was managed and by staff who were very friendly, helpful and patient with us! The food was well cooked, nicely presented ant tasted amazing! Even the restaurant was very busy but the staff made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed our evening very much. The salad bar was clean with a good fresh choice. We would like to say a big thank you to the whole team as they were amazing!

Me and my partner purchased a Groupon voucher for a treat as we don’t get out often without our child, when we arrived we informed them we was using a groupon voucher what was fine, I also stated I had a free drink being a member of the harvester app. Now to the experience, we arrived at 17:40 for our reservation, before had finished our unlimited salad bowls our starters was brought out and sitting going cold for 10 minutes, we had just had our last part of the starters and the main was placed on the table by this time it was 18:05, I didn’t get a dessert that was included in our original offer with groupon, as I felt sick from rushing our food. Then when we went to pay, the code wouldn’t work, and the free beer wasn’t actually free and had to pay extra for that. I would not be coming back here due to the inconsistency of staffs knowledge of terms and conditions of vouchers being used in conjunction with others and myself and my partner sitting there embarrassed scanning this code that would not work but what we clearly paid for. It should become a fast food restaurant and not a nice dine in experience, as I said in the start of the review we don’t get out often so would have liked to have a bit more of a break before courses. Such a shame.

My friend booked an end of day meal, had such a bad day and got confused with which Crawley restaurant it was. However spoke to Shay who was very kind, considerate and accommodating along with another lady. Originally my friend was supposed to pick up the meal from Crawley beside the cinema but however was closed when we go there due to the confusion. I would like to commend Shay and his team for the generosity and hospitality to accommodate my friends needs in her difficult time. I really appreciate Shay’s kindness! Shay… you’re amazing! Your customer service skills are extraordinary! Thank you!

Before I start I would like to say the food was of good quality for the price, and the waiting staff was ok. The big grumble I have is the customers that they let into this restaurant. This has to be in my near 50 years the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. Things were fine for the first 10 minutes and then the waitress decided to seat two complete racist and sexist foul moth men I have ever come across. They were just horrible, shouting out every explicit you could think off. The experience was embarrassing and certainly not what you would expect expect, I am sure management must have heard but did nothing about it, the whole afternoon was ruined, will not be going back.

Very unhappy with my meal tonight burger was over cooked chips were cold unfriendly rude service. Felt very rushed to order and eat. There was 8 of us and it felt like anything that was asked was a problem. A few from the group had gone home from the meal not feeling well at all and with bad guts. We used to enjoy coming here but this has put us all off

Really quick service and weren't at all making us feel rushed even though it was peak time on mother's day. Our food came out quickly and was to a good standard!

We used to visit this Harvester quite regularly years ago and thought we’d return for a family meal, to make a change from the usual places we now tend to go. Very disappointed we made this decision as we had a somewhat depressing time. We arrived shortly after 7pm and we’re seated not far from the salad bar. Not once whilst we were there was the salad bar topped up or tended to. The restaurant was a lot less busy than I remember it used be, despite it being a Friday night. We all got the impression that we (and the few other people who hadn’t yet started their mains) were simply helping mop up the slops from the salad bar before they closed for the evening. Slimy salad spoons, salad containers nigh on empty, so you had to really scrape away for what little pasta or pineapple bits remained. Salad dressings nearly all down to the dregs and containing bacon bits, onion flakes mixed in with the contents of the other dressings that had found there ways in there from other spoons…. Hardly any rolls, and salad dressing spillage everywhere… Fortunately the main meals themselves were well cooked and our waiter was a decent, helpful chap, but the overall experience was really let down by the miserable salad bar.

Ordered a rib eye, received a grisly Rump !!!!, waitress took it back, then returned same meal 5 minutes later !!! Stated it was a rib eye ( which it certainly was not). So I now had a stone cold meal brought back. I asked for a replacement Rib Eye, was told it was the only one they had ( this at 18.30 on a Friday evening). Instead I said I would have a Burger, this arrived several minutes later and taking a bite, it tasted like cardboard, it was disgusting. Had enough at this point and left. I have enjoyed eating at various Harvester,s over the years, but will NEVER use this chain again.

Today, I visited the Hawth Park Harvester with my partner for a hot drink, we was served by a lovely lady called Alexandra, who was extremely friendly, polite and well spoken. She delivered excellent customer service and we are delighted to write this review and feel so welcome. A true creator of positive energy! We look forward to returning here soon.

Had an Unlimited breakfast here at Christmas it was so good a bought a few vouchers for friends, decent food, nice service good options.. Went back and obviously somethings gone seriously wrong since lockdown.. Normally you can help your self to drinks and toast etc, this time you have to go up and ask someone (although I can't tell you who because we were told to wait and we will be told when to go up for distancing purposes etc,well that never happened) Also that drinks will be brought over they were (after 30mins).. I can honestly say we had the most awful experience and service I think I have ever had, (the food was still OK though) except for the lack of drinks lack of butter and rock hard hour old toast you would chip a tooth on.. Main issue was the rude service and overall lack of, we had to clean our own table,The waitress who took our order was so aggressive and rude we literally couldn't believe it, (we hadn't complained about anything and were perfectly polite so God knows why) she had the worst attitude I've seen in a long long time, looked at us with virtual disgust as we were ordering. If you don't care about service, it's still great for propper load up breckie providing you have an hour plus to kill.. But if it's any kind of special treat or family occasion your better of at McDs or the pop Inn at Manor royal at least they smile ask if you want anything else, and act like they would like you to come back.. (if the area manager/director or franchise owner reads this, there was also a younger waitress who helped with the food her hair was not died, she was nice when she brought the food over and appologised for the rock hard toast, and food was pretty good when it came. All be it an hour plus after first sitting down. I'd retrain staff on service level standards, send in a few mystery shoppers to get an idea of what's gone so drastically wrong, no one would return who had the experience we did.)

IWe chose the Set Menu and I chose the excellent tomato and basil soup. For mains we both chose "Simply chicken" with jacket potato plus peas and carrots.The chicken was excellent also the jkt potato. However the peas were not fully cooked and resembled bullets, similarly the carrots were undercooked.We chose the Set Menu thinking (wrongly) that we would save a bit but in fact the prices were very similar to the big menu.As always white rolls, denture breakers and rock hard.Salad as always, excellent.Staff very good, friendly and obliging.One question why have execrable music playing in the premises-not necessary, just annoying.Would certainly recommend.

The food is okay.. nothing special. My food was dry and lukewarm, with very little flavour. For the price, its what I would expect. The staff, mostly seem happy and friendly. It seemed quite understaffed, which may be the reason, for poor food.

This chain seriously needs to up its game! If you love Fish and Chips like I do....go somewhere else! The fish had hardly any seasoning. I've eaten Fish and Chips at a few different places around London / suburbs and this place....on a scale of 1 - 10, I'd give it a 4.

We came along a week ago on Sunday for an early dinner around 4pm. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 young children. We were all super hungry, as we'd just been swimming. We hadn't booked a table, but were shown to a table within minutes of arriving. We were served by the waiter Tamas. He was such a good waiter, he was extremely polite and attentive, and went above and beyond. He was especially good with the children, chatting with our daughter, and giving them colouring packs etc. He checked on us during the meal, and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious. The BBQ chicken stack is to die for, and the others all loved their burgers and ribs etc. Thanks again to Tamas!! He needs to be recognised for his impeccable service, which is why I am writing this review (I rarely write on here, but I use it a lot to read reviews).On a completely separate note, I came along another time recently for breakfast and was majorly disappointed. Nothing to do with the service, but the quality of the food. No pancakes available. And the scrambled egg?! How can you call that scrambled egg! I have done a search on here, and am clearly not the only one being served with solidified bland overcooked egg out of a packet, that was worse than aeroplane food. So I then opted for poached eggs on another visit, and they were almost raw! The white was undercooked, slimy and snotty, and inedible. You need to sort out the breakfast guys!! Get someone who can cook eggs properly. So we'll be back for lunch/dinner another time (hopefully served by Tamas), but will give breakfast a miss!

The staff here were lovely and super helpful, made sure to check up on us and refil our coffees when needed without us asking! Very good hospitality. How ever the food really was not very nice, I had a Katsu curry and the sauce tasted like licorice and was very obviously microwaved. But j do not blame front of house for this.

Popped in as haven’t been there in 9 months, it wasn’t busy so got seated quickly. It used to be all you can eat buffet, not anymore a member of staff handing out small bowls. I don’t eat it but my wife used to like the selection, I had a bread roll which was warm, I gave up trying to cut it and left it. All the old favourites on the menu no longer exist, my wife had a steak and I had a burger, neither meal was edible so we paid and left never to return.

We had an evening meal here which was good. Service was quick and staff were nice. It was a freezing cold day so was pleased that it was nice and warm. The restaurant was clean and tidy.

We booked on the Saturday for breakfast the next day - 12 in total (8 adults, two kids 5+ and two kids under 5)

7 of us went for breakfast, 4 of us were late due to car problems & traffic. When we arrived we weren’t told that there was practically nothing left of the continental breakfast buffet - no croissants, no yogurt, no juice, we managed to get a cup of tea before they removed the tea things (no clean spoons though & obviously not unlimited). We did query this with waitress but she wasn’t very helpful. We mentioned it again when another waitress brought the bill. She spoke to her manager who came over & asked what the problem was. We explained & she went away & returned with a new bill, she never said a word, just plonked it on the table & stalked off - she had taken off 5 drinks. Won’t be going again.

A popular and crowded restaurant (booking advised). Food is ok but the Harvey's local cask ale has been replaced by fizz. Similarly our local Toby Carvery has removed London Pride. I was offered John Smiths, but drank tap water.

A group of 16 of us booked at Harvester at end of December. The service was very good and friendly and the food was very good. Our visit lasted 3.5 hours as we had such a good family time in a lovely location. However this has just been tainted today by receiving a parking fine. I was unaware that there were specific bays for the Harvester and the Holiday Inn. Now I have been sent a fine for £60 for apparently parking over 3 hours in Holiday Inn car space....

Steak was tough and not very nice , the waitress was talking to the other table and ignored us drinks were slow and so was the food ,! We had to get up to the bar and pay as waitress was taking too much so I wouldn’t go back there again

Service was good. Food prepared and delivered swiftly. Menu choices, poor. Draft beer choice also could be improved. Only good thing it's handy for Holiday Inn Express which is on the same site.

We visited as a family of 5 to take advantage of the meat free Monday offer. We told the waitress this when we were seated.

We visited for dinner and the food was fantastic but what made our visit so special was the can do attitude of our waiter, Tamas. His friendly welcoming tone made us feel immediately at ease and he could not do enough for us. What a guy! A real credit to Harvester and deserves a customer service award.
