The Hart Inn in Scarborough

Restaurant upstairs was lovely but a bit on the cold side. The food was superb - freshly cooked and piping hot and good value. The only downfall - we were charged for drinks we'd not had, but this was rectified when queried with a member of staff.

We visit this place fairly often being the perfect endpoint to have a pint or a meal before the walk back to Whitby, so good that occasionally we miss the tide and have to take the path rather than the beach back. Great indoor and outdoor seating too. Dog friendly.

This is the most amazing little place. It was about the first thing we discussed when we booked our little break to Whitby. It’s a busy pub, and whatever the day or weather you have to take your chances getting a table in the bar. We were blessed enough to get the plum spot by the roaring open fire, and then it’s as if all your troubles fade away !
