Went in this morning, looking for a few quick snacks for the day. Food was lovely and not overpriced like Greggs. The guy who served me was helpful and polite

Only 2 staff. ! One serving (extremely slow) and other one loading oven up. Stood in there waiting to be served for 10 mins then walked out.

Stocked up on bread and cakes for our stay in North Yorkshire. All fresh and competitively priced.

Not very much choice available at lunch time when you think they'd have stocked for a lunch time rush. The pasties and pies were cold and so was the lady who served us. What we did buy wasn't very enjoyable.

The most horrible staff in a cooplands in the country. They need lessons on customer service manners and it just generally needs a whole new set of staff

Been in 5 times in last month and each time no cheese pastys and shop looks bare not sure if just a winter policy but not had anything i was after

Went here for afters today with my Mum and Dad. Great location in the heart of Whitby town centre with friendly and professional staff and lovely food (I had the gingerbread person). Highly recommended! :)

Amazing 👏 tried every single product over the 7 days I was here brought home mince onion pies,caramel shortbread,monster cookies,sausage rolls,brownies and jam donuts best donuts I've ever tasted overall yummy! They even do breakfast which tasted devine not that expensive either very pleased.

Staff are very friendly. I ordered a steak pie and a cappuccino. The food tasted lovely and fresh.

Went in at 11.30, there was hardly any stock on the shelves, no sausage rolls, no cheese straws, a stream of disappointed customers coming in, looking round then walking straight out. Staff not very helpful. I think it must have changed hands, in the past this place used to be bustling and the counters and shelves stacked with products. I think we will be going elsewhere in future.

last weekend i bought a small white sliced bread loaf,i could not eat it because it was mouldy i was very annoyed to say the least as i needed it to make sandwiches

Called in for a snack 4 sausage rolls £1.20 price increase of 20p. Luckily just out the oven so hot and fresh. Staff always friendly and efficient. Only downside is the bread selection or lack of. Tourist town lots of people camping etc and the rolls and buns run out early on.

When we found Cooplands the shelves were almost empty which speaks for itself, We enjoyed the pies and cakes we purchased

I’ve been going to Cooplands for nearly sixty years, and never had a bad item yet! Whitby Cooplands is as good as any, with pleasant staff, and great choices of breads and cakes.

4 sausage rolls for £1.20, recommended by others on my coach trip.. BUT... I was not impressed. They were just very average. I've had bakery sausage rolls from other places that gave much more of a home made impression

Service ok. Worst pasties we have ever had. Cold and hardly any filling.

Love this place. The cheese straws are always my go too. But their sweet baked goodies are also pretty great!

The staff couldn’t of been more helpful when we visited Cooplands today. We had run out of rolls for our picnic and they very kindly cut the rolls open for us and provided us with a plastic knife for buttering without any hesitation. In addition to this, the cakes and rolls were fresh and delicious

Don't know how to smile, ordering seemed like hard work to them, didn't appear interested and had better service from my local shop

Love the chicken bakes here, always super friendly staff and its a pleasure to drop in from time to time.

Had a lovely bacon barm yesterdayalong with a very nice cappuccino coffee, staff were lovely and friendly, also brought some scotch rolls home and they were delicious

The 6 buns for a quid are great. Bought 60 to take home. They freeze well and taste lovely. Friendly and very helpful staff.

bought a couple of boxes of mixed cakes to feed the family while we walked around. Every bun was delicious and we were spoilt for choice

The sausage rolls were fantastic and my hubby may have enjoyed one or more of the creme buns. Princes were fantastic as well.

Great Breakfast Deal,sausage sandwich and a large tea and all for a couple of quid.Many other deals on offer so will call again.

Coopands is a very nice bakers with loads of delicious food!. I had a cornish pasty from the bakers in Whitby and it tasted delicious it was the best one I've ever tasted in my life!. Same with their cakes they are very tasty.

We decided to grab lunch here and it was great value for money. We had hot chicken pasties and sausage rolls, and the service was friendly. They sell a wide range of hot and cold food.

Nice bakery with a good choice of produce - we opted for a large bacon bap and 5 cheese straws. The bacon bap was generously filled with bacon, which is not always the case, and the cheese straws were light and did taste of cheese!

Cooplands has generous opening hours and we always visit on our trips to Whitby. They have an excellent selection of breads, cakes and sandwiches and their steak pies are the best l've tasted from a bakery! They usually have a deal if you buy 2....

Pop in here whenever we visit Whitby as their cakes and sausage rolls are lovely. Prices are very good and they have a good range of cakes(my daughter's tried every one I think).

We discovered this bakery after a couple of visits to a 'well known' Whitby Bakers, Cooplands was far better.

The wife bought some cakes and cookies as we where staying in a self contained flat the staff where lovely and cheerful and the cakes and cookies where great

Today we were in we ordered cheese straws. Soon as we left .a member of the public walked in with just a normal ordinary dog .not a guide dog or that .and she had it tucked under her coat .no member of staff said anything and they allowed her to be in a place where food hygiene is supposed to be taken seriously but quite clearly wasn't .

The price is reasonable. The sausage roll was just fine. Black current bar was awesome. Not so sweet. Good value overall.

Stopped off for a sandwich from this shop as they are really fresh and there is always plenty of choice. Just couldn't resist a cake too. Great service. Tucked away on a side street just off the main road that runs along the harbour side.

I went in today as there is not a Gregg's in the town, bad mistake. The steak bake and the pork and apple roll I had was just very flakey pastry that disintegrated into millions of crumbs on biting and it went absolutely everywhere, the filling was sub standard, it tasted more like reconstituted meat. I will not be going in any more Copeland's out of principal, even the card payment machines were not working, very poor in today's day and age. My partner had a chicken bake and that was much the same, but also very bland tasting. Plus to make things worse the chicken bake was served to her straight from the oven, far to hot for consumption. If I could give 1/2 a star I would.

Every visit to whitby and we visit a lot, we use Cooplands bakery. The sandwiches are amazing so filling. Pasties etc are baked on site and perfect. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Keep.it up you guys. Fab!
