Awful place dirty and grubby, we ended up sitting in the ‘beer garden’ but was surrounded by fag ends and just general rubbish, lady behind the bar must have missed the customer service course but her tattoo’s were spelt correct. Avoid this pub

Come over for a drink and called into the Hart take it from me the glass washer wash a wash it's self.

Used to be a dive but the new bartenders (Nat and Vicki in particular) make all the difference and I've had a lovely experience since they've been there

Great pub in the centre -one way system in place and hand sanitiser available -very nice staff and they rang a taxi at the end of the evenng.

More for a younger crowd,with loud music and sports screens . OK, but not one of the best bars in the town

I like this place. It's the place in the area to go play some quiet darts or have a game of pool. Sine of the drinks are cheap and the bar staff are always lovely. There is a nice smoking area in the back too. Topless bar maids haha!

I think new people run this bar (along with a few others in Knareborough and Harrogate) and things are looking up. Real Ale is back, and I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. "Happy Hour" runs 12-7 every weekday, and means drinks are well priced

It is what it is T least they have the dj back on Friday. Staff are lovely. Loos leave alot to be disared. But it the only late taste in Gate Has a bad rep but personally has always enjoyed with no problems

so just on my own with me dogue seen reviews....oh my posh sados really slating place. so heres an honest review. so i had a pint of heiniken and it was rubbish tastes like someone has hot washed lines and can taste the line on my top palate. footy is on. 10 kids watching match. no dodgy chracters at all. apart from rubbish beer this place has a lovely wecoming atmosphere. yeah its a very poor business for centre of knaresborough and i mean really poor but yeah ill have a beer with me dogue in here. its august and xmas decs are on ceiling still.... still like vibe though....wierd

A xxxxhole for the dregs who can't get served anywhere else in Yorkshire. Great building with lots of potential for a competent manager/owner who doesn't despise the town of Knaresborough.

Good for live sports on TV, drinks and bit on the expensive side for the surroundings.

The staff are extremely unhelpful. I walked in and out again in a matter of seconds as nobody could be bothered to drag themselves away from their private conversation. It seems like a place where only those who are unwelcome in any other establishment frequent.

Came here with friends and will not be rushing back there is a very bad smell coming from the toilets I felt like the place needs a good clean. At least the drinks are good.

Disgusting place full of drug's and absolutely stinks of urine , very unhelpful staff and intimidating doormen! Saw several doing drug's in the toilets seems to be known in the area for this

It needs seating cleaned or renewed. Otherwise it`s ok, plenty sports to watch on different tv`s. Clean it up and I think more would return.

This is great for watching sports but it is pretty dated now and could do with a refurb. Its a big place so always somewhere to sit.

Visited at lunchtime 4th April 2015 and after getting through a rowdy stag party stood in the doorway managed to get inside and ordered a pint, Beer ok but the smell permeating from the toilets into the lounge was unbelievable. I have never stood in the lounge area of a pub and had to hold my breath. I pointed this out to a young girl behind the bar, and her answer was to squirt an airfresher and walk away! Dirty disgusting place where the management should be ashamed.

awful place, people always outside on the street smoking, intimidating for passers by, people served when clearly had too much, always trouble after closing. 'management' should be ashamed of themselves.
