Let's keep it simple, we ordered a cheese and fruit scone with 2 cappuccinos. Both scone's were obviously bought from a supermarket within their budget range. We could only assume they were old and heated up in a microwave to a pulp to hide it. The drinks were very watery and bland too.. We try to buy from independent businesses but wish we had gone to Costa across the road.. AVOID!

We went to the Green Room for Sunday lunch and found they were fully booked but the lady serving said she would squeeze us in on a table normally used to display leaflets. Fortunately, she didn’t need to do this as a couple on a table invited us to sit with them. Both of us really enjoyed our meals, they were very tasty, the portions were plentiful, and they were served up really hot. I’m really glad we decided to go there and I’ll certainly be visiting again. I’ve no hesitation in recommending the Green Room to other people but because it’s very popular, I would advise ringing to book a table rather than just turn up like we did.

Tried to pop into this cafe for a coffee with the dogs on an overcast day when visiting the area as we saw a dog in the window but were turned away as the cafe owner or manager said the dogs were too big despite the place having plenty of tables. Don’t they know lots of venues accept dogs now even upmarket pubs, restaurants, hotels and stately homes. Disappointing !!!

This is a very nice Cafe with lots of charm. Bright with lots of light and nice ambiance. Good food, good coffee/ Kitale (top rated on TA) was cold, loud and lacking character. I'd take The Green Room any day.

It was OK. I had a haddock and cheese omelette (7/10) and wife had 'egg' on toast which to be fair turned out to be 'eggs' on toast. No choice of toast and the only option was a poor quality brown bread. Tea is obviously subjective but we found it very weak and the 'mug' seemed very small. Having said that we were grateful they were open on a Sunday morning, unlike it seemed, the rest of Norfolk.

Mandy and her hubby (and not forgetting staff) are so welcoming. The food is out of this world and all home made. Nothing is a problem if you want chips instead of Normal potatoes or vice versa. If you are in a slightly big party it is explained that they may be a delay with food due to size of the kitchen. But no delay and food comes out together and piping hot. Everytime we visit family in North Walsham we make sure we visit this cafe. Thank you Mandy ❤️

Had a roast dinner it was awful except the meat the veg was tasteless the potatoes just greasy and sloppy. I’ve giving two stars for the staff as the lady serving was polite and friendly. I won’t go back to eat here. It was disappointing.

The staff were happy to accommodate our puppy at a bay window table and we enjoyed three great coffees and warm cheese scones with butter. All good, but they had run out of sausage rolls - we will never know how close to perfection they might have been! A pleasant independent place used by regulars who are greeted by name - must be a good sign.

My mum and I had smoked haddock chowder. It was so delicious. Served with warm bread. The owners are so Friendly and go the extra mile to make your visit both relaxing and great service. The chowder was full of a smoked haddock and vegetable. Thick and creamy. Brilliant place.

Popped in for lunch. Reasonably priced and delicious home cooked food. Reccomend the cooked breakfast. Also tried scrambled egg with smoked salmon on toast. Yummy! Cheese omelette with coleslaw and sidesalad. Delicious. Restful atmosphere served with a smile.

We dropped in for breakfast. Very warm welcome and quick and friendly serve. This is a popular spot on a Saturday first thing. Very good number of breakfast choices. We asked about gluten free options (written on the menu). Wow! The owner eats a gluten free diet, and makes gluten free scones and sausage rolls. What a treat. They also have gluten free bread and were more than happy to modify the dishes on the menu. Breakfast became something very special. Highly recommended. For gluten free this place is a real gem!

Called in for a late(ish) lunch. Staff friendly, but not a huge menu. We ordered a cheese scone and I had an egg mayo sandwich. Sandwich was generous, and well filled, with side salad. Cheese scone was large, and apparently tasty. Tea was good quality. Only thing that stopped me awarding a five was the slow service, especially as they were not overly busy. Would recommend otherwise. Toilets clean and well stocked.

We found this cafe after a surprisingly difficult search for a coffee shop in the middle of North Walsham - the national chain had not yet opened in the centre. I am pleased we persevered! The staff were very friendly and the coffee and food were very good. We went at a busy time so there was a delay in receiving our order - but it was worth the wait and worth us seeking out the restaurant. Recommended for breakfast or lunch.

Called in today. Ordered two wraps with salad , and sausage beans chips. The wraps were stale with hardly any filling, tiny salad and soft crisps. The chips were literally black and burnt same as sausage. Sent back as inedible. Staff did not bother to make amends. Will never go again. Very poor.

Came here the other day with 2 toddlers. The cake was really tasty. I had a honeycomb tiffin sort of thing and my friend had the choc fudge cake, both very scrummy! The hot chocolates ads the best in town! Very nice! Only downside I would say if your visiting with little ones. There’s only 1 high chair. Which is fair enough as it’s not the biggest of cafes. But may make it difficult. Also it does need a good clean. Tables were clean enough but the window sills had black mould on and the high chair was dirty when we went to use it. Lovely ladies who run it though. That has not put us off!

Had an early appointment in town and decided we had time for a cuppa and a tea cake before our meeting. At the time we didn’t know North Walsham and found the Green Room basically close to where wee needed to be. Ummm what a mistake.

Stopped off for a cup of tea and maybe a bite to eat. I have never seen such unappetizing food in a counter. Ladies were pleasant, just had a tea and used the loo, eek not very nice, one tap on the sink not working. We came away smelling like a dirty old cafe as there were chips being cooked perhaps without ventilation. Needs to be spruced up the tables were very tacky with the menu's stuck to them, not good.

I had lunch with my elderly parents today. My father enjoyed his sausage but my fish pie filling wasn’t nice and some of the fish didn’t taste fresh, the mash topping was nice but the filling was a poor attempt at what can be a lovely tasty dish. My mum had the beer battered fish and chips. The beer batter was overpowering to the fish and tasted like the oil was old. I tried some of my mums and agreed with her. It’s two years since I have eaten here and it was a disappointment.

If you want to eat awful and not healthy than best you camp in. Food is cold, staff are rude and faces like they don't wanna be there. Short woman was very rude and you could hear them shouting out the back. Some man who appeared to be friends with them messing around outside. This isn't what i like to see when eating out. HUGE let down girls. They need to be more polite and have a better manner and not shout so much!!!

Stayed overnight, dinner was good, breakfast was atrocious! Over cooked bacon, sausages, hash browns and eggs, whether, poached or fried were hard and burnt. The toast was beyond crispy, frightened to eat the crusts in case we broke our teeth. The room was nice, Myrtle, needs a long mirror on the blank wall near the plug points. Staff friendly and accommodating at dinner.
