Fabulous food, service and setting. My parents said it was the best sea bass they have ever had. My chicken was melt in the mouth. The manager and the lady who looked after us were fabulous.

Excellent little pub with the best pub service seen in Shropshire for a long time. The place was packed for Sunday lunch but the staff kept smiling throughout. and could not have been more helpful. The food was good with crisply cooked vegetables. Roast beef a little overdone but tasted fine. Rustic, basic atmosphere where the talk at the bar is mostly tractors.

What an absolutely fantastic evening, the joy of being in a proper pub where the food was spot on, the service was outstanding but more importantly, the atmosphere was genuine. It was a great night out in a traditional English pub and I will be returning soon. If only this was my local!

We called in on spec on a blustery Saturday afternoon. Immediately we were made to feel very welcome and showed to a table in the restaurant part of the pub. The service was friendly, attentive, and very efficient. The food was amazing !! The two of us opted for the sharing Starter Charcuterie Board £15 Followed by the Sharing Cote De Boeuf (Tomahawk Steak & Chips) £45 Both the starter and main course were fantastic, both in quality and price. The drinks were very reasonable with a large Bacardi coming in at just £4.40 with 50p for the coke. I opted for a pint of Ludlow Gold which was also £4.40 The whole meal came in at just shy of £75 ( including a couple of Coffees) I can’t think of anywhere where this meal and drinks would not have been £100, so The Green Dragon is very, very reasonably priced. We will be returning that’s for sure….

Disappointed Nice pub, atmosphere and helpful staff but very disappointing food for the price. £19:for mixed meat Sunday lunch ( Main meal only not including starter or sweet)which consisted of a good slice of beef which I could not cut as it was so tough, either that or the knife was blunt. A small piece of over cooked belly pork and a small portion of chicken on the bone. A most impressive Yorkshire pudding which did not live up to its appearance, over cooked on the outside but soggy in the middle. Good selection of vegetables. The trifle was 3/4 tinned custard with squirts of cream on top . As for the coffee, best described as vile, guess it had been sitting in the filter jug for hours. Very disappointing as the Green Dragon reviews up to now have been very good. Would not recommend.

We have visited The Green Dragon on 3 occasions. First was ok but subsequent visits not so good. The chicken chasseur sauce had no mushrooms in and didn’t appear to be the correct sauce for the dish. The trifle had squirty cream on top which was not nice. On our 3rd visit our meal was barely warm and not enjoyable at all. Prices for pub food was quite expensive for what you got too. Such a shame as the place is lovely and staff very friendly but as you go for the food primarily, we won’t be returning.

We were a group of three and the cosy festive warmth of the Green Dragon greeted us on stepping through the door. Friendly staff, tasty food and a nice menu. Two of us had the mediterranean tart with lovely crispy pastry and one easily swapped veggies for salad. Our other party member tried the Christmas pie which was a real treat. No room for desserts unfortunately but enjoyed a hot chocolate afterwards before we headed out into the cold winter night again to our car parked easily close by in designated parking. A firm favourite!

Went for my birthday lunch and was pleased to see good vegetarian options and ordered the falafel, chickpea and hummus salad. Which was a main meal for £15 - new potatoes, salad, roasted chickpeas, hummus, falafel etc. I had a starter of falafel and hummus dumped in front of me. When I said I had ordered the salad of the menu - The waitress said I had ordered a starter and she knew what I meant and brought me back some undressed salad in a bowl and a plate so i could combine the two - great.

Was greeted by friendly staff and sat down for a meal of whitebait, squid followed by ribs and one of house special burgers.
