Been here since I turnt 18 because people to take over the pub you always have a vibe and it's brilliant on Friday when there is karaoke thank you the Kensington!

Great space, great food, great atmosphere and great bar service.. Sunday roast, sport, drinks and location. Would recommend

Was out looking for some food and happend to stumble across The Kensington. Found a table very quickly and was served by someone called Jade. Seemed very nice and informative and very friendly. Food was very nice and atmosphere seemed good. Would definitely come back.

Penny (I think her name is) who was working on the floor during the football is amazing and makes a great cup of tea! Food is served quickly as are the drinks!

Always go to the Kensington for drinks and food, unfortunately today the food was not quite up to scratch and the wait was long, Becky &Jade sorted this straight away with no problems at all. We could not have asked for anything more from them. Thank you ladies xx

Although we went during the afternoon, the reception was very friendly. We wanted a meal, and the menu was just what we wanted. They also had a seniors menu, for smaller meals 3 couses for £7.99. As we are pensioners this was just what we wanted. Unfortunately, we arrived when the chefs were changing over, so we had our starter, promptly, but had to wait quite a while for our mains. having said that the food was freshly cooked very hot and delicious. We would definitely go back.

First time out since lockdown and I definitely picked the best place to go, the atmosphere was great for the first England match of the Euros. Jade, Nicola and Conner done a fantastic job serving and making sure everyone was well looked after. I will definitely be spending more time here and bringing friends and family. A group of friends and myself visited the Kensington on Thursday for a meal and catch up. We were told that there was a 40 minute wait on food, which wasn’t a huge concern to us. When ordering on the app, there were extremely limited food choices available. No buns for the burgers, and even no scampi! After 1 hour and 20 minutes we still hadn’t had our food. I asked Connor to chase this up, which he did. By that time, some of us had lost our appetite. Connor is to be commended for the way he was rushing around serving people. I was equally concerned to see dirty plates and crockery just left on the tables for a significant amount of time. Nothing was cleared promptly or the tables cleaned down after people had been seated there. This is a huge concern considering that hygiene should be the number one priority right now. Staff seemed to disappear for a period of time and there were people just wandering in, not checking in on the app and this was not challenged or even noticed. I’m hugely disappointed with the clear decline in standards since my last visit, which we all commented on. I won’t be rushing back there.

I came in with my niece early afternoon, was welcomed by the lovely Nicola. Conner and Nicola made us feel very comfortable all through our stay. Michael sat with us and had a conversation with my niece, she loved it. Luke the chef made amazing meals for the both of us. I couldn't praise them enough!! Such a lovely place to be!

Warm, cossey, friends & family friendly pub with a great atmosphere accompanied by approachable and welcoming staff. Was delighted when one of the staff (not sure of her name but she was young and blonde) made sure we received replacement food when they'd run out of some food from the original order. She was especially friendly, lively and eager to help. Seems like the life and soul of the pub. If your lucky enough to be waited on by her, im sure youll leave with a smile. Pleasure coming here!

Tier two isn’t so bad when you get to pop in and have some wonderful food served by a wonderful bunch of people. Everything was made clear upon entry. We had an amazing dinner, the halloumi fries were amazing and the mixed grill...absolutely amazing. The staff team were fab, jacky was amazing. Booked for dinner tonight. Jacky met us at the door and explained the rules and regulations in an easily understanding way that made you feel safe from the start. Had starter and mains that were both cooked to perfection. Service was 100% and very attentive but not obtrusive. A lovely evening meal and well presented. Jacky was a diamond during our whole experience.

So we decided to give the Kensington another shot as it pained me to leave a bad review as we have frequented this place for years.We was greeted at the door in a friendly manner and given anti bac to clean our hands. We were shown to our table and the manager also welcomed us back. We mulled over the menu and although limited due to Covid still some nice dishes on there and a varied selection. Drinks were served promptly with all the right garnishes. We ordered our food and it arrived nice and hot and well presented. Check backs were done and condiments were brought to the table. Portion sizes were spot on and although slightly full we still managed to squeeze in a dessert. Desert options were very limited but dispite this were delightful. Had a double expresso and still buzzing now... Nice and strong. All in all was 100 times better than our last visit and would recommend this venue to eat. We would advise booking and using the app is easy as 1,2,3..... also great to watch football and has a nice beer garden.

We had a meal @14:00/15:00 on Thursday 27th August, food nice, staff nice, BUT other customers ignored the Coronavirus precautions wandering around our table as if they thought that they were immune to the guidelines and virus.We felt that we could not speak to the staff as the guys would become more agressive.WILL NOT RETURN as the environment did not feel safe from a coronavirus personal safety viewpoint.We had dined at the Kensington Milton Keynes a number if times before Coronavirus and will not return

The Kensington has really come on leaps on bounds in the last couple of years, but I've been particularly impressed since they have reopened post-lockdown. The have a great system in place for social distancing and you still feel that welcoming, relaxing feeling, whilst being covid-proofed, which isn't easy.Really enjoyed the pub quiz last week, although I'm sure I should have won! (I'll blame the beer).Would thoroughly recommend The Kensington for a warm welcome, good beer, and a friendly atmosphere.

We have been to this pub a few times since it has reopened, and we are very impressed at how hard Jacky and her team have been working to ensure everyone is safe. There is an expectation that everyone will sanitise their hands on entry, and the one way system is clearly explained and marked out throughout the pub. The app is great, and having full table service is excellent. Jacky has established a weekly quiz night, which is great fun too. The food is also good as well.

Bar staff extremely rude and arrogant. Food cold. No social distancing. Would not recommend this pub to anyone

So welcoming, relaxed, friendly, a great atmosphere. Pubs have got a lot to deal with, but this one has nailed it, very happy, Formula 1, good beer, happy chappy.

Been really hard to write this review as we love this pub for its food. However we visited a few weeks ago and despite getting a lot of things right there was a lot of things they got wrong. The doors had literally just opened and we made our way in and was greeted promptly. Rules were explained clearly and a one way system was in place. We had the app so didn't need to register for track and trace. The table we was on was clean and we had lots of space around us. The menu was limited which was a bit disappointing but we understood why. So with a limited menu you would expect the food to meet same standards as before Covid. My niece's food arrived first and only hers and was served with extra onion rings... we didnt order that so I checked my app and just as I was about to get the waiter he came back and said sorry wrong table. We explained to him that my niece had put salt etc on the food. He took the food and delivered it to the correct table! Unbelievable how dangerous... lets hope my Niece don't end up being one of those that are asymptomatic. Our food eventually arrived and was luke warm but as no check backs and no way to ask for waiter on the app I really couldn't be bothered to complain and we trundled through our food as we was hungry. I can only guess that as they had just opened they didn't put the hot lamps on early enough to keep food up to temperature. And I did appreciate the manager coming over straight away to apologise for the wrong food being brought out. Let's hope this was just a glitch as normally we love this pub but as a party of 6 we will wait a while before returning.

This is our local pub and before Lockdown was a great pub. Made loads of great friends with the customers and staff. Since the re-opening of lockdown it is a very different place, but still a great place to be. The team have gone above and beyond to make us feel safe and fully adhere to their safety measures. Now you can order from the App you don’t even need to leave the table as everything is brought to you. It’s very quiet at the moment but I think people are slowly coming out again and I’m sure things will pick up. The food is amazing, always has been in my opinion and Brandon, the Chef, always looks after us. I would highly recommend this pub for any occasion. wow, what a great experience. Jacky and her team are very organised and got everything in place. I was a bit worried taking my 3 yr old son who can usually run around but was on his best behaviour abd enjoyed his kids meal. Service was great obviously tabke Service and tables and toilets cleaned at every possible moment. Hand sanitizer provided at every time leaving the table and markers spread in and out of pub. Very professional and will be visiting again soon. Felt very safe!!

Every detail of the Kensington makes it perfect for so many occasions. A family meal, a date night or a night out with friends. The food is lovely every time and you are always guaranteed a good night. The staff are always so welcoming and helpful. It's honestly our favourite pub to go to.

The Beavertown Neck Oil on tap is superb one of the best pints I've had in MK definitely the best in an estate pub. In 2017 I had the worst pint I've ever had in MK but a very different story now! I believe that was under different management. The Brewdog Lost Lager and the strawberry gin are both also very good. The food menu looks worth a great go. The staff of the pub should be congratulated on the up jump in quality its great! Though we'll always call this the Grebe.

We come to the Kensington allllll the time but never really eat a proper meal. Normally, we only ever order picky food like their chicken wings and my god they are the BEST! My partner and I are quite picky when it comes to wings and these are the best around even compared to chicken restaurants. Today we came for our usual drink on a Sunday and my partner ordered a Beef roast dinner.We didn’t expect to much as it’s not overly advertised etc to be ‘the best roast dinner’ like some other pubs but jeeeez it was so good.The beef was so soft, the roast potatoes were full of flavour and the gravy was delicious.All for the price below £10!! I had a sirloin steak and that also was absolutely lovely.We will be coming back here every Sunday for our roast dinner!!!Can’t forget to mention the staff are so welcoming and friendly.

I approached the landlady to host my late mother’s wake in the pub. Was brilliant buffet and service throughout the whole day and night. Bar service was brilliant even though it was extremely busy. It’s a lovely big pub with plenty of space outside the front and rear of the pub. I look forward to a visit in the near future. Thankyou Jaqui and team

We had a wake here for a funeral of two people so as you can imagine there was plenty of people to attend here. The atmosphere was lovely and the buffet food was delicious I heard all good compliments about the food. The service from the bar staff was great and fast nobody was left waiting for to long for a drink. The staff are so friendly and nothing is to much for them they go out of thier way to make sure your day goes to plan. The manager was brilliant in helping me when discussing the food for the service and showed me around for where the food would be placed for when people attend. Many of us stayed for the evening events which was karaoke and this was great as it broke the days events down and helped many that were grieving to laugh again and remember happy memories. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to do a wake as this was also 5 minutes from the crematorium and easy to locate for those who dont live in milton Keynes. Thank you to all staff and management for a great service.

This pub is local to Great Holm and situated next to the surgery. Had lunch on a working day and it was relatively free of patrons. Ordered a veggie burger with fries which was delicious.The pub underwent a refurb last year and it has become really stylish, nice and has a good ambience.

I am local and pop in occasionally. Since the refurbishment the place is a lovely place to be. Great atmosphere, nice beer (Beavertown Neck Oil), decent food. Most important thing is the service, so welcome every time by every member of the the team. There are some incredibly busy times, even still, I've never had poor service from anyone. I'm sure it can get quite hectic, but never seen anyone loose there temper or get visibly frustrated. One of the most welcoming, consistent, professional hospitality teams in MK.

Went here with husband and 2 friends, ordered 4 meals. 1 was lukewarm, 1 had gravy so thick and only warm you could almost slice it, scampi undercooked and soggy and nearly cold, chicken cooked too quickly so couldn't cut with knife!! 4 out of 4 meals absolute rubbish. Won't be eating there again! Manager promised to call me - no phone call! Customer service appalling!

New year's eve,couldn't of asked for a better night,the atmosphere was amazing,the staff made the night,the manager went up and over to help us enjoy celebrate the new year...

Family visit to combine birthday and Christmas was really lovely, service best had so far, food was nice. Good value for money. Football was on so got a little rowdy but the staff tried to keep to a minimum for the diners

I live not to far from the Kensington and have only recently I say recently being the last 18 months returned to the pub after living elsewhere...We had many a great evening in ‘The Grebe’ as it was called before entertaining the crowd when I was in a band , so I was pleased to see they still had live entertainment...How things have changed , the pub has undergone a great refurb , the food looks and smells delicious, great staff who actually smile and give you a warm welcome , the customers are friendly and responsive, and the toilets are clean ...some of you will know what I mean by that last comment...Great atmosphere when the sport is shown , without any trouble...The beers/lagers are quality , I have never had a bad pint there...Go and visit and make your mind up

Came with a group of friends in the afternoon. We ordered hot drinks: a cup of tea cost 2.80, served in a cup without saucer, same price as a cappuccino.

We came here as a party of 3 and was looked after from start to finish, by a very special person! She made our daughter so happy , made sure our meals were fine and despite the pub being busy, made us feel like we were VIPs. I said we would write in to head office and Nicola we have. You are an asset to the pub and we will be back again. I witnessed you go round several tables asking if all was well and it's clearly second nature ! God bless you from Chloe and family. A young lady who is Austistic visited this pub tonight for a soft drink with her carer. She was in a very happy mood and laughing and saying hello to people. One of the staff, with no people skills, asked the carer to take her out of the pub as she would "put people off!" Beware anyone with a disability of going inside this pub as you will not be made welcome.

Having our kitchen refitted so have had to rely on our local pub :) Great recent refurb. Speedy food served by friendly staff :) we will be going regularly from now on.

I held my dads 70th birthday in here as it is his local. The staff were fantastic!! Lindsay and the team went above and beyond for us and helped us keep it a secret. The buffet food was really high quality and there was plenty of it.

This is the first time ever coming to this place, and being an ex employee of Greene king I'm glad I left, if you receive this level of harassment and victimisation when coming into the premises.

I met with my girlfriend at the Kensington at around 10pm and sat outside did not enter the inside of the bar.

Regularly visit on a Friday night with friends for a mummies night off, great entertainment and lovely staff, also visit during the week or a Sunday with my son for dinner, food been tasty everytime staff are all so helpful, polite and patient especially when my son cant choose what he wants :)

A friend an I walked over to this local pub on a very cold mid-week afternoon. The entrance of the pub has both a ramp and stairs to the front door. We went up the stairs which has a handrail and had been gritted for ice.

I visited the Kensington last Saturday afternoon for a pre Christmas meal and get together. There were 13 of us including 3 children. They reserved a table for us in a suitable corner where we had plenty of room and the children could enjoy themselves without disturbing other diners. My meal was excellent value, very nice and plenty of it. The waitress was very good and we were delighted with the service.

Came to watch the football, ended up eating, amazing steak, cooked to perfection, thank you to the amazing staff behind the bar, Lindsey and Tia

the Yorkshire pudding wrap was amazing, the service was quick and the staff all friendly, visit on a regular basis, Jade was amazing with taking my order and making sure my allergies were covered.

I would just like to say a massive thank you to Lindsey, Jade, Tia and the rest of the team for a fantastic night, I don't often get to come down to see family but I'm glad there is a lovely local pub that we can all meet up in.

friendly local next to free car Park in a safe residential area . However takeaway van outside pub and people coming out to eat food , not a good sign . Also no bitter at all , last pump Doombar ran out , also no house wine also ran out and just to finish off sky box also broken so no live Saturday football . One failure understandable but a bit of a mess tonight , shame .

Atmosphere: The TV volume is far too loud - cant hear any one talking unless sitting far away. Friendly staff and people, atmosphere is good

we had to wait a very long time for our food but the landlord was very apologetic as it was over an hour and he refunded the cost and treated us to a free drink. We will go again as it was very good value for money, all be it a simple fare.

Nice pub. Very reasonable prices. Especially the wine. The Fajitas were great . And the Burnt burger my husband loved. Worth a visit.

Moved here recently and happy to have found this is as my local. Great Value good pub grub and Nice helpful staff. have been for a couple of Sports covered on Tv and for New year always had good time.

We went here for a buffet after a funeral at the nearby crematorium. The service seemed to rely entirely on one girl who was rushed off her feet trying to deal with everything. The quality of the food for the buffet was reasonable, but the whole ambience of the pub was rather poor. We got the impression that this is more of a place to booze rather than to have a meal.

I don’t know why Greene King bother with this pub anymore

Wow is all I can say!!! The staff went above and beyond to make sure Mothersday was the best ever!! They did afternoon tea, it was amazing! They had decorations and intricate details relating to the mad-hatters tea party! Little flowers in the table, drink me labels.... so personal! It was such a treat to be spoiled and treated the way the staff treated us - I hope they do it again next year - it really was the best Mothersday yet! We had loads of different cakes and scones and sandwiches, sausage rolls etc - it was well worth every penny! Thanks guys!!

Me and my partner came out for a date night for 2 years anniversary. It was quite busy but the staff was all on point with the food was amazing had a cheak back, more drinks were offered as well after the plates was taken then offered us a desert to share.

It's the third time we've been here over the past year, visiting relatives in MK who live locally. We were in around 2pm. I had an over 60s special: Courgette and cheese soup, beautiful, creamy, a winter warmer. My missus and her sister had a sharing platter, which included nachos and chicken goujons, which went down well. My main course was sausage and mash. It was okay; the sausages were good, presentation was good, but could have done with a spot more gravy. The ambience of this pub, at this time of day is spot on. There were a few other diners, a few workmen having a drink, but we had no difficulty finding somewhere to sit, and all in all, it's a good place for a catchup with friends. The staff are helpful and friendly. One bizarre feature is a dummy cashpoint. Typical Milton Keynes. I like the books. They are obviously a decorative feature, but there's one or two that I'd have liked to have borrowed indefinately. Great pub, we'll be back next time we're in MK.

This place has the essence of a decent local pub: Good beer, happy friendly staff, tasty food, pool table, big teles for the sport and a great atmosphere. There are evening and celebratory events and the pub is busy and welcoming.

Este pub ha tomado un severo buceo nariz en términos de calidad de comida desde su incorporación a la Kensington. La última vez que comí la carne era insípida y sin sabor, verduras frescas y nada cerca de la bebida era servida en un lápiz labial de vidrios de colores. Por desgracia yo no estaba sorprendida por alguna de estas cuestiones, ya que parece ser el nivel aceptable ahora para este establecimiento.

Bar comunidad/pub situado en una zona tranquila en Milton Keynes. Este pub ha ido de fuerza a la fuerza a lo largo de los años, incluyendo la elección de bebidas y comida. Recientemente un par de hamburguesas del menú que eran absolutamente delicioso. La cerveza está siempre limpio y la mayoría de los parroquianos son amables. This newly refurbished pub and new menu has lifted the place into a warm and welcoming place suitable for any occasion. The food is what you expect from a good quality pub and Ales are good too! Worth a visit!
