Traveled here (quite a way from Oxfordshire) due to the pictures of the lovely looking play area in the garden. Thought it would be a nice place for some Father’s Day drinks. No play area though, at all. Food wasn’t being served until later than usual either, I think they were preparing for the football. Considering it was early afternoon about 1pm at this point there was no one except staff in pub, so not much of an atmosphere. Saying this. The staff were pleasant. Wish I’d have looked further into whether play area was actually there

Visited here with a group of friends, all of us have small children. Based on the photos there was a great kids play area shown, but this IS NO LONGER HERE. Also, on Sundays the only food they are serving is a roast dinner but they did manage to rustle up some fish fingers for the kids. This menu limitation should have been mentioned when we booked The staff were really nice and the food was good but it's a shame the kids area has gone as this was the reason we chose to meet at this pub

Nice pub, two friendly staff members and they were quite busy with an Easter BBQ, was a very pleasant experience though sadly no real beer. They have sky sports and TNT for the football

We played a gig there on St Patrick’s Day. We were warmly received by the staff and the customers. Nice bunch of people.

We use this pub for family parties.They provide a buffet there's always plenty of food available.Staff are very friendly highly recommend

I’m local to Fenny and having heard that this pub had just been taken over by new management, I thought that we would pop in for a drink and a bite to eat and give it another chance. We avoided this pub under the previous management due to it having a large drug problem and unfortunately, this hasn’t changed with my son popping to the loo on one occasion to a gentleman kindly putting his Class A back into his pocket. Having this happen after we had placed our food order, we decided to stay and give the food the chance to rectify the experience. Unfortunately, it didn’t. It came out cold and when questioned with the staff why it was cold, I was given a shrug and asked if I would like it to be redone. Given the whole experience, I will not be returning to this pub and will be advising friends and family to avoid also.

Great local pub, staff are friendly and chatty as are the customers in there also! Always happy returning. Dog friendly too which is great!

Last of the 3 pubs we drank at tonight. Last time we were here probably nearly 1.5 years ago. The B&B didn't miss us and we didn't miss it. Service from the barlady was nonchalant. She was happy to let another lady interrupt her serving me to talk about a patron who was taking photos of a trainer. It was clearly a new trainer but bar staff were happy for him to place it on the bar several times on different occasions whilst we were there. I wasn't even told the price of the drinks before the card reader was presented to me. Mentioned it in passing to the patron standing next to me at the bar who replied "does it matter anymore?" Karaoke was blasting out the back room which people were enjoying so they do offer evening entertainment. Obviously we wanted to chat so we had to sit in the front room and bagged the last free table, under the TV on the far right side of the building. It felt a bit squashed with another patron sitting behind me. Positive note, I did see the young lad behind the bar kindly step out of the pub to book a taxi for another patron. I'm going to give Friday and Saturday evenings a miss here but will be back in the summer to enjoy the beer garden.

Great English pub serving traditional pub grub. Friendly staff.. Plenty of screens to watch the football or rugby. Friendly staff. The pub hosts a live band some weekends which are free to watch. Been a couple of times now and it's a nice little pub. There is plenty of seating at the rear of the pub which is cosier than the front bar which can be a little to bright. My only moan is that the smokers area is not vented enough and some smokers tend to stand right by the door facing inwards, the smoke wafts in which can be very unpleasent for those who don't smoke. I'm sure someone will have a moan about me for saying that but I'm just being truthful and giving a fair review.

Half the menu wasn’t available, what was cook was shocking and we were over charged Avoid like the plague

A decent local with a good sized beer garden. Friendly bar staff. Some entertainment e.g. live bands and quiz nights. Could improve its food offer but overall reasonable value for money

Great little pub with a lovely outdoor space. It has nice 'booths' in the garden offering cover from the hot sun, or open picnic benches if preferred.

Superb lamb pie with mash, nice selection of beer too, tip marks

Excellent cozy pub. The food is of excellent quality for its reasonable price. The side salad on my homemade lasagna was fresh and not of the pre-prepared bagged variety. Friendly and helpful staff who anticipated my needs and provided timely updates on the progress of my meal. It's a shame I'm only a visitor otherwise I would be here regularly.

Very busy last Wednesday evening....Good wine selection.

We visited this establishment yesterday and had a great experience! It's really lovely inside, small and cosy - with a really good vibe. Somewhere I'd feel comfortable to go, even on my own. There are two areas and the back room is a great space for functions and events. We had delicious food, my partner ordered the 'Halloumi Burger' and I had 'B&B Loaded Dog' and we weren't disappointed! I am actually salivating thinking about my tasty, food - so it certainly tantalised my taste buds! We are looking forward to trying more dishes from the menu. They have some great events listed and we hope to make the 'Cheezy Music Quiz Halloween Special' on 26/10/22. What makes this pub truly stand out is the attentive, personable, professional, outstanding service! We felt like valued guests who were made to feel welcome from the offset. We had the privilege to meet Tony and Ted. Tony is absolutely brilliant front of house and we really enjoyed chatting to him, so refreshing to meet someone so open, engaging and who can't do enough for you! This establishment definitely stands out and we are so glad that we paid a visit! It's the best pub that I've been to in a long time!

Had the best bottomless brunch here! The owner was very generous and attentive, the food and drinks didn't stop the entire time. The food was delicious too, we had baked camembert, chicken strips, chicken wings, and deli platters. The pub and the owner were lovely, and their bottomless brunch is fantastic value for money. We'll definitely be back!

It was OK, couple of miserable bar men who I assume were the owners? The older one looked like you had asked him for his last pound when you asked for a drink, it was like he was being put out. Doubt I'll go back there if I'm in the area again

Went to this pub for a Wake unfortunately. However, the service was really friendly and, the Buffet was decent... Nice Pub.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Unfortunately this was overshadowed by the tiny burgers that arrived on stale/cheap buns followed by the sides after we had all finished eating. Plus the Doom Bar was one of the worst pints I've had in ages. Very under value even for a cheap cheerful local. Please bring the quality up even if it means a price hike.

Nice pub, very clean and well set up for the Covid crisis. We had a funeral party of 10 and they accommodated us brilliantly, supplied a great spread of sanding and nibbles and were very helpful. All done for a very reasonable price . Highly recommended

Wow! Arrived at the pub and asked if they were showing the Brentford v Blackburn game on Sky as my son is a Rovers fan and he had just finished playing football up the road. At the time all screens were showing the Chelsea game but the landlord put the Rovers game on one of the TVs. What great service and the food was good too. Lovely pub and would certainly visit or recommend it. Thanks again.

Went in for their Wednesday night quiz, have been back twice now. Great atmosphere with just the right mix between friendliness and rivalry and level of question.

The new owners are really trying to make the pub welcoming friendly and do put on lots of events plus when the pub undergoes it's facelift this February I know it will become the high streets place to go .

Opened under new management July 2019. Very friendly staff and very welcoming to all ages. Large rear garden, great place to take children. Entertainment great too, so far. Looking forward to kitchen being fully functional. Will definitely be going back .

Awful, slow service. Booked a table for 12 and allowed half of us to order food and then said the kitchen couldn’t cope for the other half. I’ve never seen such slow moving bar stuff in my life!

Wanted to take my wife for her first UK pub experience. Probably not the best to start with. It could have been worse and it could have been better. Admittedly I've not been here since my last review, 18 months ago. A lot has changed, it was practically closed all January. The walls did look freshly painted. There were no suggestions that the pub offered food as it had done back in 2017 when it was packed with dinners. However here was a sign advising "all snacks may contain nuts." Times do change.

Did not feel comfy in there. Barman walked off when we walked in.

Good food. Good company. Outside kids play area. Just a good place to have a beer

Great pub but had run out of real ales on a Friday evening when I last visited and new delivery had to settle for 24hrs. Apart from that glitch a great pub 🙂

Great kids play area in pub garden.

I enjoy drinking here, has a decent sized outside area and the atmosphere is good. Never been too rowdy or too quiet, just right. The beer selection is a bit mainstream but kept well. Never eaten here so can't comment on the food. The staff are always really friendly and do make you feel welcome. I'd return when I am in the area.

Hoping to watch the villa game on sky sports as when I searched for pubs with sky sports this was the first one that come up. Unfortunately the BT channel was on. Also after a long day at work and hungry was very annoyed to be told the chef is off tonight. In all a ruined evening
