No food seems to be the order of the day for this pub, despite menus inside and food times displayed outside. Landlord waits until you have purchased drinks before informing of lack of food. Very slow bar service. The inside needs a good spring clean, it is filthy. The toilets need demolishing. As for the locals, I assume locals, such a racist bunch where every other word spoken is vulgar. Very unwelcoming. A visit from Environmental health is much needed, or complete closure.

Great service from The Grape Vaults yesterday. Large group, 20 of us. Lots of choice, everyone found something they enjoyed. We ordered in advance, which was super easy, we were sent the menu in good time, all very straight forward. Everything came out together- all 20 plates! Hot and tasty! We would definitely come back. Thank you Grape Vaults.

Everything & more from one of the most quintessential british pubs you may ever wish to visit. It really is not trying to be anything other than what it is. It offers a warm welcome, a great bar offering a range of fab beers & wines. The food offered is all home cooked & above average in terms of quality, quantity & value. Yes, it's dated but that doesn't detract from the overall experience, in fact I think it's all part of a charming offer. Dogs are also warmly welcomed.

Lovely old fashioned classic pub, was looking for somewhere dog friendly to take my puppy. The food was absolutely delicious, I had a bacon Brie and cranberry baguette and my mum had the steak pudding. It was cooked fresh to order and was so tasty at a very reasonable price. First visit to The Railway Inn Dinmore. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. 1 adult had an allergy to a foodstuff, staff were able to advise which meals were suitable - majority of meals, but Chef would accommodate as meals were freshly prepared. Booking advisable. Wait a while for your meal as its freshly prepared but well worth the wait. Good presentation of food, hot, tasty good quality. Off the beaten track, but well worth a visit. Beautiful location and tasteful décor. Will certainly visit again.

Walk-in at 6.00 on a Saturday evening, as we happened to be in the area and lived the look of the menu. Nobody greeted us, but we asked the lady who appeared to be in charge whether they were serving food that evening. She rolled her eyes. The conversation then went as follows: Her: Have you booked? Us: no, I'm afraid we haven't. Her: Huh. (Rolls eyes again, goes over to the bookings list). It's very quiet, but I don't really want to do any more today. Us:... Her: I suppose I could do 7 o'clock... Us: Don't worry, bye! Her: Huh. No way were we going to give our business to somewhere with such a bad attitude. But it turned out well for us - we ended up at the Lal Bagh Bangladeshi restaurant down the road, and had possibly the best curry we've ever eaten!
