Only allowed 2 vegetables with your dinner, you have to choose between red cabbage, cauliflower, carrots or pancetta. I like a selection of veg as you get on most roasts. The Lamb was excellent as was the braised red cabbage. The cauliflower had barely seen hot water and was still very crunchy and the roast potatoes had been kept warm a little to long to make the skins a bit chewy. The venue is very cold feeling with none of the ambience of a restaurant. It’s clearly a young persons bar. There’s better out there at better prices.

1 King Henry I StreetGreat venue with an unbelievably friendly staff which made me feel at home. Charley was a great help behind the bar, very chatty and friendly! Knew her stuff with the deals and whats good to drink as I aint much of a drinker. The food was also top tier! I'd suggest you to also visit!

54 Clarence ParadeWe was served very quickly and as we pre booked the table it was ready and clean as soon as we wanted. We are looking to book again and have our Christmas meal.

portsmouth Histrocial DockyardThe cafe is situated right behind the main historic dockyard reception area and has a great view out towards HMS Warrior and Spinniker Tower. Although there’s a large restaurant further inside the dockyard, a number of other cafes are closed due to the current Covid situation but it’s quieter here as most visitors head straight on to the dockyard attractions. Not sure about opening times as it closed for a period in the afternoon whilst we were there - not sure if it was due to staffing or some other issue?
