Brilliant food as always and great service from Hannah. Really good range of options and huge portion sizes.

Fantastic lunch, our Christmas lunch was delicious! Above and beyond service from the lovely Hannah!

My family and I just went for a Sunday lunch here and the food was phenomenal! The festive menu had a perfect range and our waitress Hannah and the food runners were very lovely 😊 would definitely come back again.

Excellent food, good value. Good service, helpful and friendly staff. Hannah was wonderful and very attentive.

My wife and myself - together with two friends - had a return visit for lunch earlier today at their favourite local Pub The Golden Retriever Pub at Bracknell. It is certainly popular as not only was the car park pretty full when we arrived shortly after noon but anyone turning up on spec hoping to get a table would be disappointed as existing bookings were completely full. Fortunately, our friends had booked a table and we were shown to our table - a nice window one at the far end of the property. Our waitress Charlot promptly took both our drinks and food orders and - although the staff were clearly busy - she provided excellent service throughout our stay. I thoroughly enjoyed my Lunch from the Festive Menu (£29 & £31.95 for 2 and 3 courses respectively) and chose the Prawn/SmokedvSalmon Cocktail, Roast Turkey with most of the trimmings (I added a side order of Cauliflower Cheese) and Apple Pie and Custard. It was all absolutely delicious and this was a view shared by all my fellow diners. All in all, a most enjoyable lunch and - as such - I would strongly recommend The Golden Retriever to others but with one important caveat - don’t forget to book in advance!!

Had great christmas meal here with company. Staff were lovely, atmosphere was great as well as the food. Be prepared for big portion size if you choose Turkey Dinner.

Stopped here ( precooked ) as a family group of 5 adults and 2 children en route to Lapland Uk. Meals arrived within a more than satisfactory time scale despite it being busy. We all enjoyed the fare provided and would return without any hesitation if living locally. Service by staff was excellent. Nice vibes. Thank you to adding to our days experience.

Until yesterday always had great food. But sadly today was really awful. My friend ordered roasted mushrooms. They came up basically out of a tin in some sort of sauce. Her main was fish cakes. The broccoli was uncooked as were the potatoes. The plate of food wasn’t hot. Had to send it back. My other friends vegetables were cold and uncooked. I had calamari which wasn’t hot followed by fish and chips which also was bordering on cold. But I ate it. The standard has plummeted and I definitely won’t visit again until they get it back to its old standard. Hate writing bad reviews but felt so disappointed.

This place has really gone downhill in the last few months, the standard of hygiene has really declined. Dirty stone floors are filthy (black), the entrance lobby is no better and the toilets are shocking the floor and tiles look like they haven't been cleaned properly for months. I can but only imagine what the kitchen must be like. will not be returning.

Had not been to this pub for a while so thought I would try again to see if improved but not the case, very expensive and small portions, lasagne and pie ok, but had fishcakes with cold undercooked brocolli and shrivelled dry new potatoes, my son had the hoi sin duck pizza which was very dry more hoi sin sauce required.

Would I go back possibly to try the Lunch menu sandwiches. I’m all for dog friendly pubs however having dogs in the dining area at dinner time is not hygienic nor a great time to have dogs in the dining area. We had been recommended highly To go here, but ultimately not a friendly welcome and just expensive for an average pub grub. 7/10 for me

Went here for lunch. It was very busy and we were lucky to get a table. Recommend you book ahead. Our waitress was very nice. Good selection of drinks and food. The portions were a good size and well cooked. Nice atmosphere.

we went for a last minute meal out with the family. I ordered fishcakes with tender stem broccoli and new potatoes. The broccoli was very undercooked, the stems were raw and thick, not tender stem and the fishcakes were thin, greasy and I'd prob say 5% of the inside was fish, the other was a cheesy sauce and potato. Sent the meal back and ate when I got home. My husband's hunters chicken usually comes with a cheddar topping but they've decided to add a cheap yellow nacho cheese sauce for some reason. Won't be going back for a long time.
