Lovely pub,good atmosphere and just great all round. Staff are really good. Was even in the night before with 3 good mates sampling the Guinness. Food was great,we both had the Beef Dinner,cannot complain about it at all,spot on great presentation and very tasty. Had a great and very nice dessert too. Sticky toffee pudding & Apple pie. Again very tasty & presented well. Would recommend the place to anyone even tho it is just a little pricey. Thanks again for the lovely food.

We had an amazing Sunday dinner. Mike the manager made us feel really welcome and Lexi the young lady serving us was a credit to you. Nothing was too much trouble. The pigs cheek starter was awesome as were the mains and desserts. A warm friendly and welcoming establishment. Well worth a visit.

Very small portions, two dry small prawns with a salad to start. Burger and fries for main, the burger was almost like a burger van burger, poor quality meat. Left feeling I could eat more.

First time visit with my other half, brother in law and his partner for Sunday lunch. My sister lives nearby and had recommended The Golden Fleece to us so we drove the 30mins from Halifax to see what the fuss was about! In short, a very nice pub venue with a convivial atmosphere. Food and drink served by cheerful waiting staff arrived promptly and was of very good quality. We all agreed a return visit was in order and will be back in the new year.

This is the 4th time I've been, twice for lunch & twice for dinner & as always it was fabulous. Went last night as a couple & both of us chose from the festive menu, from which we were both spoilt for choice but we thought it was good that there was a choice of classics if there wasn't anything to tempt you on the festive menu. We honestly couldn't fault a thing about our evening...the food was amazing, presented beautifully & tasted wonderful, the staff were really pleasant & engaging & the place felt warm & cosy on a foul night, weather wise! Great atmosphere, great service & fabulous food!

Visited today for Sunday lunch. The Christmas menu was available. We chose a traditional beef slices, roasties, seasonal veg and Yorkshire puddings followed by dessert. The food was very tasty. Great, welcoming staff attended us throughout the meal. The restaurant has just put up christmas decorations, so atmosphere is very friendly and inviting. We were in at 1.00, and every table was filled so be sure to book early.

We decided to call here for Sunday lunch after visiting the local garden centre for Christmas decorations (we booked in advance). I won’t say much as there isn’t a need to say much beyond “fab-u-lous” . I had a started off Roasted Tomato Soup with Balsamic Vineger followed by sausage and mash. My better half skipped on the starter and had the beef dinner. Portions were generous and you could tell the quality of the ingredients used.

We went for Sunday lunch, when the food arrived it was luke warm, borderline cool & very uninspiring. The dessert was scoops of ice cream with raspberry sauce on, very ordinary. The standard of food has dropped remarkably since our previous visit & we will not be tempted to return anytime soon.

Superb food and drink at great prices as always. Excellent service from Eva who met all our needs and fulfilled some unusual requests ( thanks to obliging chef too)

A last minute decision to stop off here for lunch was one we certainly didn’t regret. Excellent staff who were polite, cheerful and friendly. We had 2 course light bite lunches and liked our choices. The food was all freshly cooked, well presented and tasty. Highly recommend.

Been to this great pub to eat a few times now. I cannot fault them in any way. The food is outstanding, beautiful presentation. As a coeliac the choices are plentiful. The only criticism is a lack of gluten free deserts, but I don't normally have one so no major issue for me

My partner and I visited on Wednesday for a long overdue lunch out. We arrived to a warm welcome and were swiftly seated in the dining area after being offered seats in the bar or dining area. Looking at both the light bites and the a la carte menu we decided to eat from the light bites menu. Both menu's offered a great selection of amazing sounding dishes and me and my partner both said "we'll have to come for an evening meal to take advantage of the a la carte menu" We both ordered starters and mains and proceeded to sit in acticipation of what we were going to be served. I can honestly say we weren't disappointed. Between us we had the lamb and mint kofta and the mushroom risotto followed by a haddock tilka masala and a flat iron steak with all the trimmings. We really enjoyed everything we ordered, the amount, the quality and flavour were second to none. We couldn't recommend this place highly enough and look forward to visiting again soon.

Amazing new tapas menu flavours were insane and our waitress mel went above and beyond for us ! one of the barmaids Daisy was also very thorough at helping us pick cocktails and helping us pair a wine to our meals, both girls were so helpful and made our visit well worth it !

A friend and I had afternoon tea today. The new menu was delicious there was lots of choice and so much of it! we couldn’t manage it all. The staff were amazing, they had set it up inside but were very accommodating to change it to outside as the weather was sunny. Nothing was too much trouble even brought extra cushions out and allowed us to swop Prosecco to 2 lots of coffees. Mike, Sarah and the team were great. Highly recommend. Arrived at 12:30 ordered by 12:40 … 12:45 asked to change order due to chef having difficulty cooking what’s on the menu ! We’ve eaten here many times and almost always enjoyed the food but I can say we’ve seen a noticeable increase in the quality of the food, the menu choice and presentation. We recently visited with friends and all thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks.
