In a world contaminated with flat earth conspiracies, this true British public bar represents the global awakening and awareness society truly needs. The round earth needs promoting, protection and the human race needs beer and a slight nudge in accepting the truth. Thank you for your honesty and bravery.

Moved to the area and this is our local. Great little pub, with lots of outside space to sit. Great staff and beer.

An absolutely delightful afternoon. Walked to this pub and walked in at lunch time to a warm and friendly very popular pub. Had 2 children with us and they were immediately invited in. Ordered drinks then decided to stay and have lunch as the atmosphere was so inviting. We were not disappointed the food was delicious. My 8yr old said " if you want me to eat a roast every sunday you will have to bring me here" out of the mouths of babes. Also a beer garden opposite set in woodland, brilliant place for the kids to explore. Thanks for a lovely afternoon will certainly visit again soon.

We had a very nice time at this pub! We recently moved to the area, and we came here late Saturday afternoon. We had our two young kids with us, and the locals were very friendly. The pub wasn't serving food at the time, but we checked out the menu and it looked good and reasonably priced. Definitely will be coming back for a meal sometime!

The Globe is a friendly country pub which provides an extensive menu with an average price of only £8 to £8.50 for a main course. The food is very tasty. The desert menu was tried by only two of our group (my wife and I actually) and were nicely presented and very enjoyable. The village of Shotesham has some delightful walks and lovely views and there is nothing better than finishing off a visit with a lovely meal at The Globe.

Reading previous negative comments, I must say I am surprised. One complaining about dogs being fed mini cheddars, one complaining that dogs are not allowed. The poor landlord, how can he win! On my visit there was signs advising only guide dogs are allowed and I'm sure most reasonable people would support this. I had a sundaylunch and this was second to none, certainly the best in the locality, and the best value. Great village pub well worth a visit on a Sunday or during the week.

Used to be one of my favourite pubs & had been calling in several times over the last few years. Always good beer & friendly locals. Nothing pretentious just a good old fashioned pub. However called in a few days ago and was met with NO DOGS signs. I've been taking my Jack Russell in over the years & we've been made welcome. Now it seems they've gone a bit above themselves, but if they can afford to turn trade away, good luck to them as they won't be getting another penny from me.

Excellent sunday lunch. Always a friendly atmosphere in the bar. This isn't a fancy pub, it is a real pub. The decor may need updating but the food is excellent value and the service is fine. I love to see a dog behind the bar.

I called at the Globe early midweek to book a table for the following Saturday. On arrival I was greeted and asked what I would like to drink to my amazement a great big dog appeared behind the bar and a person sitting at the bar started to feed the dog Mini Chedders this immediately put me off booking a table or wanting anything to eat from this pub.I finished my pint and used the gents before I left only to see fist marks in the wall.I will not return. All in all a grotty little pub

We were recommended this quaint village pub by a family member , it's off the beaten track so we didn't even know it was there .we had booked a table for 7pm mid week when we got there unfortunately the pub / restaurant was almost empty :-( however David the landlords banter and choice of background music more than made up for this , the service was excellent , the food was traditional pub fayre of the highest quality , we chose a deep fried Brie as a starter with lasagna and salad for my partner and beef stew and dumplings with mash for myself , followed by a lemon tart for desert .The portions were plentiful and I must say the stew was probably the best I have had ( sorry nan ) .All the food was cooked by the Ali the landlady who mentioned that they also did Sunday lunches .... Can't wait to try them .The total cost including drinks and charm was £30.00

One of the very best places to eat in Norfolk excellent food ,service and value. It's a really shame they don't serve alcohol. A glass of red wine would have gone down a treat with a beef pangang curry

A Roasting Good Time This little pub is a hidden gem. Their roast dinner is the stuff of legends. The meat is cooked to perfection, the veggies are spot on, and the Yorkshire pudding is fluffy and golden. The gravy? Divine. If you're a fan of a good roast, this is the place to be.

Such a wonderful place. The cakes and pastries are absolutely top notch. Also, usually find it difficult to get decent coffee in this country, but the coffee in Teles Patisserie is so good, really rich and flavoursome. Realky friendly people too. I'd fully recommend a visit.

My first time back for 6 years when Carorline still used to serve the "Naughty breakfast" in their old premises across the road. Now replaced by 3 others which includes the "Large breakfast "which is a feast. Consistent quality over three visits in a fortnight & a lovely warm welcome every time. Worth a trip all the way from Africa.

Dreadful ‘brunch’ experience Extremely poor customer service, one menu for 3 people, lack of interaction and information with a misleading menu. States they had a ploughman’s sausage roll which when we order we were told it wasn’t available. No signs as to what the cakes were, asked, the one we wanted although there were some on display were then ‘unavailable’ Ordered 2 diet cokes as husband is insulin controlled diabetic, 2 large glasses of coke arrived, I took a sip, and questioned what coke it was to be told she had indeed served us ‘normal’ coke….potentially very dangerous!! When the diet cokes then did arrive they were half the size of the original ones… There was also no ice. Cheese scone ordered, arrived dry and solid. There were only 3 other people in the cafe besides us 3, and we waited a ridiculous amount of time for food and drinks. When the toastee arrived rather than walk an extra few steps she lent over the banister, and 2 of our party to pass to me at the far end of the table when she could of just walked round and put it down in front of me. Overpriced and food disappointing compared to other local cafe’s. This was the first time we had visited and it will most definitely be the last. Give this terrible establishment a very wide berth!
