Eaten here twice now as no other options available. First time was in May 2022 and we were offered pizzas as there was no other food. We paid £15 each and watched the 'chef' open frozen Chicago town pizzas! We could not believe our eyes. Ate here last week as well as we were unable to find anywhere outside of the airport to eat and this time all that was on offer was sausage rolls and macaroni cheese at £15 for what I would consider to be a portion suitable for a 5 year old!

We always use this restaurant for breakfast before we check-in. The food is good value and well cooked and nothing too much of an effort for the serving staff. The traditional full English breakfast was tasty and there was nothing wrong with it. The toast was done to order proper bread. We have nothing but praise for the whole experience.

Le di dos estrellas por mi pinta. Pedimos tostadas de queso y jamón con patatas fritas. Las patatas fritas eran como si hubieran sido cocinadas hace horas. Lo peor que he tenido. Cuando lo planteé con el camarero y le pregunté si se veían frescos, dijo "sí". Le muestro a la foto lo mal que se veía. ¿Cómo puedes obtener una tostada y papas fritas tan mal? Ojalá hubiera ido por la ensalada. No hay mucho para equivocarse. Si tu hambriento esperaría hasta que pasaras la seguridad, parecía que habían sido recalentados desde la mañana.

Qué lugar tan horrible la administración del aeropuerto de Southampton debería revocar la franquicia. The Globe ha ido bajando progresivamente a lo largo de los años. No esperes mucho

Pedimos pollo frito del sur! ! Omg fue frito y luego recalentado, bien cocido bien seco y frío, se repitieron las papas fritas tres piezas pequeñas de ensalada de col de pollo que ni siquiera probar Nos quejamos de que el tipo allí nos dijo que la comida fue preparada de antemano y recalentada en el microondas, las papas tenían esa textura de sabor que se había calentado pero todavía estaban resfriadas, Ni siquiera se molestaría en comer allí de nuevo, ¡Nit vale la pena arriesgarse a tener un malestar estomacal entonces estás volando! To be honest the food was disappointing. The quality of the steak was poor and the flavour was dominated by mustard. The chips were good and the service was fast and friendly.

on our way to catch our plane to Dublin. my husband and i decided to have a light lunch to tide us over till we got home. we called into the globe bar and kitchen and at 12 50 we ordered one cup of coffee and 2 bowls of soup and bread. 20 minutes later our soup still hadnt arrived. our flight was boarding at 2pm so didnt want to have to wait too long. in the end my husband went up to the bar and complained as to why our meal was taking so long.the soup arrived with in a few minutes. soup was lovely when it did arrive. but it shouldnt take 22 minutes to pour out a bowl of soups

Flying out early though we would stay in hotel night before took strole up to airport as first time flying from Southampton saw the globe and decided to grab something to eat my partner went for mac and cheese I decided on chicken burger with bacon and cheese the mac was just an old blue and white tin bowl no salad or even garnish my burger was supposed to have pot of bbq sauce got a couple tea spoons in a tiny ramakin that was fine as you only get crusty tiny chips cutting the burger in half was fun the bacon was not cooked it was like rubber not crispy as advertised sent it back and waited 20 mi s for replacement while my partner sat waiting having eaten was not cheep for what we had either £10.00 mac £12.00 chicken burger well fly out tomorrow and don't need to come back

I decided to have some food before flying. I thought that a simple meal of ham, egg and chips would be nice. I received a tiny meal which was very expensive and badly cooked. If I had know how poor quality and expensive the meal was, I'd avoided the place.

The barman from Angola was really friendly and helpful the beer and the wine very nice service throughout was good. it’s expensive but not particular so for an airport bar. I really liked it.

Good restaurant and good food. Very impressed with the service given by Ricardo. He was very polite and hospitable and gave us a great service.

Asked the guy behind bar what was good,he recommended a burger for 12 quid... didn't tell me it was flipping MICROWAVED. Had better rustle burgers. The first thing he sent was a chicken burger, sent that back as I had ordered a cheeseburger which came literally 30 seconds after I gave him the xhickenburger that I didn't order. Says it all. Who needs half a giant tomato and 2 microwaved pieces of bacon on top of a rustle burger for 12 quid!!! Fuming

Arrived from Bergerac where the food was fabulous. Had an hour to wait before our train journey, sadly choose the Globe. Ordered Chicken Burger & Chips, I suspect if I had ordered two days earlier it may have been fresh. When I complained the young lady offered a refund only for the manager to challenge me as to why I didn’t complain earlier. He did give me a beer but anyone looking for a bite either wait or go somewhere else. #worstchipsihaveeverhad

went to eat before my flight the menu sounded perfect ,what i got was not what it said in the menu see pic ham you can cut your finger on it was cut that thin chips that where cooked the day before by the taste of them 2 x eggs that had been fried soild garlic bread that was cold

If you want hot food in Southampton airport (after security), you can choose The Globe or Costa. Therefore with little choice, I had lunch at the Globe. I chose the Croque Monsieur with an egg - which by the way The Globe - is called a Croque Madame, not a Croque Monsieur with egg! Nevertheless, it arrived and it wasn't too bad. The prices were pretty 'captive audience' which is a big disappointment considering this is a small provincial airport, and should be doing what it can to attract custom, not turn it away!

Quality and service are way below even the lowest level. If you screw up fish and chips you are a really bad cook. The fish came straight out of the deepfreeze and tasted like water. Don’t go there.

Stopped off here after flight from Edinburgh for breakfast it was very nice indeed but a little expensive for what it is but after it is Airport prices but nice place food was superb you lost a point for pricing

Use this place as a last resort when travelling to Southampton as the menu is limited and what is on the menu they don’t often have. The last three visits they didn’t have jacket potatoes! The service is just ok but certainly over priced for what you get.

Como nuestro vuelo se demoró y, sabiendo lo abarrotadas que están las instalaciones en el aeropuerto, decidimos tomar el desayuno antes de la seguridad. El café de Costa no tenía absolutamente nada que comer (?), Así que fuimos al Globe, atraídos por lo que parecía un menú de desayuno decente.

Es simplemente lamentable que su 'chef' considerara que un poco de comida decente se enviara a un cliente que paga.

Nourriture ok mais un peu chiche pour le prix (le fond d'une assiette à soupe pour une micro salade Caesar.

Nunca esperé que este anodino pub del aeropuerto tuviera la mejor tarta de bistec y ale que he tenido en años. Me sorprendió la calidad. Honestamente, me impulsó a buscar el lugar en línea para obtener comentarios. Tal vez el resto de la comida no sea mucho, pero este pastel fue genial. El puré era agradable, y las verduras bien. Pero oh la tarta. Estoy asombrado.

Esperar en las llegadas a cualquier aeropuerto es un desafío a veces, especialmente si llega demasiado pronto. Una vez hecho esto, decidí tomar un bocadillo en este restaurante / cafetería, y me sorprendí de las opciones ofrecidas. Opté por un chocolate caliente y un queso de cabra con ciabatta a la pimienta. Esto resultó ser excelente y estaba lleno de sabor y textura, una comida realmente agradable.

Back on June 30th 2018, three thirsty, exhausted women were greeted by Leo with his great customer service and friendliness. We had toured out as far as The New Forrest and we needed a 'recharge'. Thank you Leo & sorry it took so long to leave a review. :)

Great having the restaurant before you go through security, especially for people who smoke or vape as they have the garden outside for you. The breakfast was lovely and staff friendly.

This restaurant relies on travellers passing through the airport and there is no choice of where to go and eat especially when flights are delayed.

Well arrive at airport at 6pm ask for a cup of tea and get told I had to have a take away cup as there shutting at 7pm but you could still have food and cold drinks in glasses joke

Missed a train as we ordered food, told staff we needed it in 15 mins, and it took 25. Also, echoing one other reviewer, one hardworking person serving, loads of filthy uncleared tables.

2 of us had breakfast here. The food was descent enough and the service was fine but very overpriced. When you pay £9/10 for a breakfast you’d expect to get the tea / coffee with it but sadly no. To have tea/coffee and toast it’s another £5. And no offer of a refill either.

Had an early flight from here so had already decided I'd eat at the airport. Plenty choice of breakfasts but I decided on the smaller one. Very tasty

Great venue with multiple screens for the sports. Good friendly service and free WiFi. Did not eat here and probably wise given the reviews, but for somewhere to drink and watch the rugby - very happy. Probably because of the result!

Terrible, food was late; staff were surly and rude; they still allow smoking outside; when it arrived my omelette looked like it was cooked yesterday and reheated. Hope it has improved if I ever return

Grey rubbery meat and over-cooked chips. The sauce and trimming made it edible but I would not order it again.

Large bar inside terminal building, Drinks are expensive by comparison with other local bars, service could be better, Had to ask 4 times for my drink as Barman didn't know what it was ( bottle of Spitfire ) Not rocket science.

I ordered the black and blue burger. It was truly disgusting. One bite was enough. The burger was very cheap in quality, dense and inflexible with lots of chewy bits that weren’t meat. It reminded me of the kind of thing you got at the fair as a kid. Pub grub has moved on since then, so why so bad?And why is a burger served with piles of raw red onion?

Made a mistake over our flight to Guernsey so had an extra 2hrs in the airport. Decided to eat here and had a 3 freerange egg omelette with cheese and mushroom. It was excellent..very fluffy and tasty. Surprisingly it was very reasonable too..very unusual for airport food. Friendly staff..recommended.

Fish wasn't up to standard. Disappointing for the price not good value for money. On the other hand the chips were delicious.

Up to standard for their traditional breakfast. Good coffee. Bacon, sausages and eggs cooked to order. Orange juice price was a little steep at £3.10 albeit freshly squeezed.

Plane late so decided to eat before check in. Was not very busy. Had a pint of Bodington's and a steak pie. The pie was very tasty, with mash gravy and greens, all very nice but expect more in my pie at £12 it was about 3 quarters empty.

Friendly staff and nice food for a airport pub - if your killing time would recommend having a bite to eat here

A good full English breakfast, reasonable value for money at £7.80. Great sausages and eggs. Hash browns slightly soggy but all round fine. Great coffee and quality orange juice.

If there’s a delay to a flight this is a convenient place to spend an hour or so. The airport is never really busy so there is ample seating. Costa coffee is next door but the Globe has a full bar and a full menu. Wheelchair friendly and there are toilets next door.

We had some time to kill before our flight, and decided to eat here, good service, good food, and a relaxed atmosphere.

We stopped in here for breakfast, to avoid the rush hour traffic after arriving on early flight from Glasgow. We opted for full English, and sunrise vegetarian breakfast. The breakfasts were good and the staff were friendly.

The food was terrible;It was like it has been overcooked or staid on hot plate too long,everything was so dried.We got there at 19.30,and they give us some vouchers ;but when we got to get the food like prawn or lobster or scallop;there were out of stock.We went Three times before and it was O.K.In 4 weeks I have my family coming from France and we would be at least 20 peoples and in one way I am glad we went Monday because I was going to take them there;but no way I am going to do that.I cannot be sure it would be as good as it was before and I could not risk it.

Pass through here quite often so got a good measure of what it’s like. Never have any problem getting served and normally get served straight away or only have to wait for one person to be served before me. Staff wise generally very pleasant, they however spend a bit more time hidden away rather than clearing the tables or wiping down – quite often the tables are a bit sticky.Food wise, generally only have a drink here but have eaten a couple of times. Fairly standard – not outstanding but fills the hole when you’ve got a long commute back home. So, given there are limited choices, it’s not bad evident by the fact I always stop for a pint.

The place needed a good clean but despite the appearance it was a relatively nice place to have a cup of coffee. The waitress was good and cheerful and served our drinks with a smile. The coffee was nice.

Had a very bad experience this Morning. Was greeted by a young girl with a strong accent, who was a little rude but took no notice, then had to wait 25 minutes for my single coffee and then the food was a complete let down. I will return in 2 weeks on my return trip to see if any improvement.

There was only one other table occupied when we arrived. Mid morning. Tables outside were heaving with dirty plates and glasses, and several indoors not cleared. Our table was sticky. We had breakfast which was fine and coffee. Manager was busy chatting to someone and walked passed dirty plates and cups on tables. Only saw one other member of staff who was good and was cleaning the bar after serving us. Lots of dirty tables in and out. Not a great advert, more choices and I would have gone elsewhere.

Had the misfortune to find ourselves in Southampton & decided on a drink to lift our spirits, only 1 member of staff serving. The tables were cluttered with glasses & used crockery & the service was very slow, no clean Guinness glasses available so had to opt for a tankard instead. Additional member of staff appeared & proceeded to clear tables rather than serve customers, no idea of customer service, had to ask for a replacement glass as mine had someone else's lipstick on it, not impressed but sums up the entire day! This country is on the decline!

Had a bite to eat here before flight to Dublin. Service was excellent and food even better the staff very helpful. Would I come again? In a heartbeat. Many thanks for the experience.

Again a great breakfast with all the trimmings. Great quality sausage and bacon. Eggs cooked to order. Price at £7.75 we felt was fair. Pleasant lady serving with a smile- always a good thing!

Worse £8 spent on a horrible cheese and ham toastie, bread poor and no filling quite possibly the worse sandwich I've ever had.

Have been travelling through Southampton airport quite a lot recently and often visit The Globe for a meal. The staff are pleasant and attentive and the food is delicious if a bit pricey - but worth it given its quality/freshness. Definitely worth a visit! .

A great spot for a full English breakfast. It was speedily prepared and swiftly presented. The food was tasty and the toast to follow was quality. Could not recommend it all enough.

I called in here while waiting for friends to arrive. As I had about 20 minutes available and it was early morning, I decided to opt for a coffee and a bacon roll.I would guess it took them about 15 minutes to deliver the bacon roll which appeared to be freshly cooked. It was hot, extremely tasty and had more than enough bacon.Unfortunately, the coffee doesn't get the same praise. Although I asked for a latte, what I got was an unimpressive white coffee.With a Costa Coffee directly adjacent, they need to up their coffee game or....maybe it would be best to go with the best and get the coffee from Costa and the bacon roll from the Globe - I've had a bacon roll from Costa and it isn't anywhere close to what the Globe offers.

Waiting for my flight I decided to have some dinner and ordered a meal from the bar. Upon arrival it was hot & very tasty. I had a pint of Guinness to accompany my meal & at £4.80 I certainly took my time consuming it!

Looking for a socket to charge my phone I popped into the globe in the hope of finding one & cheekily having a sneaky charge to find - to my delight - each & every table has a socket & at no charge you are welcome to use them, wether you have a drink, food or not... I thought it would be rude not to try something & ordered a soup as I wasn't that hungry & I have to say it was great, not the normal "airport" offerings, extremely tasty & not over priced. The burgers looked lovely going out too. Well done on the "socket" thing, it's the little things like that, that make airport waiting easier..

We went in here before going through to the departure lounge for lunch. Unfortunately, although there were a lot of stools and tables, dad was in a wheelchair, And he couldnt sit on a high stool. Luckily another patron saw us, and gave up her table for us to use, otherwise dad would not have been able to eat there. So pleased we got a table, we both had fish and chips, and the portion was huge!! i have to say it was the best fish and chips that we have had in a long time! They came with mushy peas and tartare sauce.

We had to wait 6(!) hours for our flight after disembarking the Queen Mary 2. Extremely friendly staff and free wifi combined with excellent food and coffee and drinks made the wait a lot less gruesome.

The globe bar was very expensive we ordered a side order of chips which was three pound and there was only about a few chips in the bowl it was very expensive

We Had the most amazing sausage and mash and a healthy salad here on our way home. Service was great and the place was very clean. Staff all polite and welcoming. Good value for money. Will eat here next time at airport.

I had Cesar Salad, which was very nice, and the only thing I can complain about is the chicken, it was somewhat rubbery, still it was very tasty.And the two waitresses was very perceptive and helpful. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, so nice even, that a small bird ventured into the establishment, although I do not believe it was served. ;-)

Credit where its due. I was pleasantly surprised to find the Globe when I had a few hours to kill at Southampton airport. First I was able to enjoy a cold beer outside in the sunshine, then I had a very nice Chicken Tikka curry with another cold beer inside! The staff were friendly and efficient, and the surroundings are as nice as can be for an airport, with booths and power outlets aplenty.I recommend delaying going through security, and spend your time here instead!

We both had bangers and mash with onions - 3 whopping bangers on lovely creamy potatoes.An excellent, handy lunch before catching our train up north.Friendly and helpful staff.

Like this place as I can go there on my own or with friends. Feel relaxed and comfortable here. Ate twice in a week here. Good menu, with snacks too. Friendly bar staff.

Nice little bar within Southampton airport. The terrace outside, if one can brave the smokers, is a real suntrap. Food also available. Only gripe is that it should be open as late as the last scheduled arrival in case there're a few minutes to kill before making a rail connection only a few steps away.

Food here is average, ok for a bite to eat while waiting for a flight. Never seems to be any staff about and waiting times can be fairly long.

The actual place looks nice enough and the staff are polite; the problem was there simply were not enough of them. One lady behind the bar at lunchtime during half term is simply not enough.They have a big sign that says food can be delivered within 15 minutes if you're in a hurry however when we asked, the lady behind the bar said it would be 25 minutes so we decided not to risk it. Normally I wouldn't take issue with this however if you're going to advertise something then you need to be able to deliver it, otherwise you just look foolish. I don't blame the front line staff but the management need to reconsider making boasts they can't keep.

If your expecting a culinary delight at an airport eatery then go outside and find a quality restaurant. If however you are looking for reasonable pub snack/meal then The Globe will meet your needs satisfactorily. The staff were friendly and helpful. The menu gave a good choice of pub meals and lighter bites. I had a burger and chips with a large coffee. Ok the burger wasn't the biggest and I would have liked more chips but the meal was perfectly adequate. The coffee was indeed large.Unfortunately tripadvisor only allow either average or very good ratings but I would give The Globe a good rating.Love the globe lights over the bar, if anyone from The Globe reads this review please tell me where I can purchase the lights from.

Having passed through the Airport on many, many occasions we have usually eaten at the restaurant on the "air-side" however we received a recommendation for The Globe for a "light bite". The menu is quite extensive but contains a better selection of smaller and lighter meals and sandwiches. The prices are similar to the other restaurant however. The service was prompt and our toasted sandwiches were accompanied by a small portion of salad and were decent quality. In the future when necessary we will definitely dine here again. The place also boasts a very good selection of beers and lager.

Service OK but food very average. Burger bun dry and bland, chips dry - seemed like they had been kept warm for quite a while. Handy if at the airport an not other option but not worth a special visit.

If you want over priced beer served in dirty glasses, then this is the place for you. To be fair the staff were lovely, but it's still them that wash the glasses!!

A two hour lunchtime wait at Southampton airport after a short flight from Guernsey we decided to grab a drink in the Globe Bar & Kitchen in arrivals. Bar area is clean & modern with double power sockets at every table for charging mobiles, laptops & tablets. Staff friendly and helpful. On reading the menu we both decided to eat as well and had a maple and mustard sausage sandwich. £5.95. Ordered at the bar at a fairly quiet lunch time, food arrived within 10 minutes and was very good. Cumberland bangers on sourdough bread with salad and a maple and mustard glaze. Good effort, Southampton airport. I would recommend giving the Globe Bar & Kitchen a visit next time you are here.

Well I paid £9:95 for a chicken Caesar salad, only to have chicken that was clearly days old, it was tougher than leather and in some bits so hard it was fossilized! It's pretty shady to offer up this trite when they have a Monopoly here! Won't be surprised if I'm ill after eating this!

Very handy if you have time to have a good meal before onward travel. You order from the bar and they bring it to your table.We ate there on the way in and on the way out. The steak pie came with a huge amount of vegetables and had ample, well-cooked meat. The fish & chips was served with an unexpected (but welcome) portion of mushy peas.Living in France I am always horrified at having to pay as much for one glass of wine in the UK that would buy a case of six bottles here - but that having been said the Merlot was very good.

My wife and me had the vegetarian and non vegetarian breakfasts before boarding our flight. They were both freshly cooked, hot, generous portions and served reasonably quickly. The staff were efficient.The mugs of tea had the tea bag left in; so we were able to make it the strength that suited us. We also added our own milk which we like to do as we do not like alot.The price was good value for what we got.We were very pleased with the meal.

Dining experiences at UK airports are either geared to high end establishments operating under the names of well known chefs, or fast food joints. The Globe falls into an even lower category, judging by my recent experience.Having arrived early for my flight, I decided to have lunch before going through security into the departure lounge. Southampton is a small airport, so I had the choice of Costa Coffee or The Globe. I choose The Globe, which is a bar and restaurant offering a range of all day breakfasts, hot meals and sandwiches. Even though it was lunchtime there was only one other customer in the place, and they were only having a soft drink whilst they charged their laptop.You'd think that a restaurant located inside an airport would at least be organised and able to provide an efficient service. Not this place! I ordered a full english breakfast at 1258 (the receipt confirmed the time). It was eventually served at 1335, with no hint of apology. I would have inquired earlier about the delay, but the staff were either hiding out of sight or busy chatting to their various friends who seemed to wander in and out at random.The meal itself had obviously been sitting under a lamp for some time, as it was dried up and not very palatable, so it was obvious that the chef had cooked my meal promptly, but the staff had just not bothered to fetch it from the kitchen and deliver it to my table.By this point I was running out of time, so did not have the opportunity to make my complaints known to anyone assuming I could have found anyone.To add further insult, when checking my receipt to write this review I noticed that I had been charged for a round of toast - an optional extra which I had not asked for - but it had not been served to me.I would assume that they are relying on the fact that the vast majority of their customers are just passing through, so are not worried about building up any sort of customer loyalty or repeat business. Next time I shall head to Costa.
