Saturday lunchtime so quiet but good welcome and decent IPA

Great place and bands always great, just a shame on the bouncers that make you feel like a criminal when you walk in and out of the place.

We got kicked out of weatherspoons for having the dog in the garden?!! How stupid some came here and to be absolutely honest we should’ve come here in the first place, such lovely staff we felt so welcomed when we first walked through the door, such a lovely space fantastic vibe so calm but great music, thank you for having us💕

Had a couple of drinks here Sunday evening. Pretty quiet. Nice having the glass doors open and a good place to watch the world go by. £12 for a lager and a glass of Merlot stung a bit but I suppose it's offset against having live entertainment to pay for. Update 21/09/2024- sat outside in the sunshine this morning & had a couple of Peroni's with family . Very pleasant. Prices seem more reasonable than our last visit. Today we paid £20.00 for 2 pints of Peroni & 2 pints of lager shandy.

Came here today at 8.40pm after coming out of imperial china chinese, the guys and kids went to the glass House before that time while we payed in the Chinese, so us women after we paid went to the glass house after for one before we went home as we was out for a birthday and got told we can only take drinks or kids outside no later than 9pm which we stated yes that’s fine just wanted one with the guys before we go (guys got served 5 mins before us) we was not expecting the waiter (a tall skinny dark haired male) to spend 5 mins telling us we can’t take drinks outside after 9pm (yeh that’s great we already know that we just wanted a quick one with the guys before we all left) well after 10mins of him debating with us we gave up as it was like 8.50 by then, he was rude, arrogant and clearly has a problem with women, the bar wasn’t even manned when we got there or after we left ( i have photos) Iv never had a problem with glass house before as we have done this a lot with the Chinese then glass house throughout the week, but after tonight they have lost quite a lot of business from myself and friends and family (that go there quite a lot on weekends ) we are paying customers which businesses struggle for so if your stuff want to turn away business before the allocated time then that’s fine but we will not be using glass house again after the way this barman was… so will take our business elsewhere when dealing with business and birthdays from now on…

Little noisy but a Friday teatime

Place was kicking and the band playing were called can’t touch this and were brilliant There was a karaoke afterwards as well, but we left soon after that started as we had to make our way back The next day, all the front was open and they had a singer almost on the pavement and was brilliant. We couldn’t stay but definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area

Went in on a Saturday, waited ages to get served, most of the staff were on their phones and all looked really miserable.

Bar staff friendly and helpful. Live music amazing! Security useless! Left early due to a foreign guy prowling around all the women and us! Security when we mentioned it had no interest! Shocking! And makes me worried for young girls out and about in Ashford! Wont return!

Played here great staff really helpful easy access to the rear via the car park. It's a lovely big stage with a few spot lights. A very good crowd singing and dancing from the start. The main entrance is off the high street straight to the bar. It's a great venue for those who either want to enjoy the band or stand at the back away from the band to chat. On our night, there was also a great DJ. A one-stop pub well worth a visit at any time.

It's a friendly little place, I like to pop in for a drink with my buddies sometimes. It's not a nice place, you won't run into the top 10,000, but if you're not one of them, you don't have to... -I think-.

Don't think that they do food, a bit pricey but do have regular live bands at the weekend.

I love this place especially the live bands. Very good place to be. Fridays and Saturdays is the day where you dance to live bands singing old times music.

Was a really good atmosphere, they had a DJ with some good music. People are really friendly and chilled. Bar staff really friendly and always happy to give you options if they don't what you ask for. Overall good place for a good night's. Drinks are quite good value as well and they have a good selection. Definitely recommend

The venue is small but comfortable with some seating available. I went here to watch a band playing music such as iron maiden and black Sabbath which was great until the interlude...the DJ decided to play pop and R&B music which while I'm not against that music in other scenarios, it killed the vibe of the night and the band. Luckily the band were able to engage the crowd enough in the second half but it was quickly followed by more music of the opposite genre. It's a shame as a lot of us would have stayed had the music been a little more tailored to the event.

Just refused entry to the Glass House for no reason and the doorman said I was a 'sausage'. He then asked me how old I am.Ageism.

Not from Ashford but my friend and I popped into the Glass house and there was a band on, nice bar staff, great atmosphere and not too crowded. Really enjoyed it, highly recommended.

First time being in Glasshouse, loved it. Great live music, lovely atmosphere, was really busy but enjoyed it very much. Staff was lovely.

Live bands are good, found it a bit loud for my liking, almost ear piercing inside with the treble and mid over powering. Drinks are pricey for a mid level bar.

Thought we would try out a new bar, big mistake! Didn’t even take two steps into the bar and I was told we couldn’t come in pointing at our small paper bag we were carrying (containing a Pyrex jug but the man was too quick to even ask) so thought we’d take our custom elsewhere to Cafe Madeline, much nicer staff + we were actually allowed in!

Nice bar and staff but once it gets really busy it's hard to move around anywhere due to the layout. And it's a shame the toilets are in the middle of it all. The music was too loud for me, if you don't mind shouting then it's all good! Good atmosphere either way.

Went for morning coffee whilst in Ashford for the day. The venue looks great, the seating very comfortable, staff friendly. We used the toilets found them very clean. Would definitely go back when we are in the area.

Nice sophisticated bar in Ashford town centre, great for celebrating special occasions or just after-work drinks. Good varied menu. We went on a night with a live band who were fantastic so has entertainment too. Would go back again and recommend 😀

Wanted a Gin and Tonic, nobody asked me what type I wanted, was served with a Gin that tasted horrible, the Gin was served with 4 different types of fruits which I never asked for, I then asked for the menu only to realise they never had the London Gin, this is soo unfair, bad customer service

Was really busy but staff really helpful and helped us get seats inside and outside. Slight issue was table service being a bit slow but it was really busy so assume that was a first Saturday since restrictions eased thing. Will be back

Manager was very discrimativè letting who she felt like in but if she didnt like the look of u she leave u freezing outside pretending she was looking for space for u (there was clearly space as u kept coming out letting the lads in everytime they showed up but left my friend stood to the side) for a hour then decide actually no u cant come in? Is it because my friend is stunning did it hit a nerve for u or is it because u only let men in? Which one where I was standing u clearly had a problem but wouldnt make it clear what it was. I'm sorry but people I'd go anywhere but here.

I used to love coming to this place before lockdown the staff and manager were so happy and friendly !! This place has lost all its soul , the staff who all seem rude are either miserable or rude , the new manager clearly has never worked in customer service before and I won't be returning ! Such a shame for a place I used to enjoy coming to every week !!

Another fab evening and as always the staff remain so professional and chilled even if challenged by unexpected behaviour. Love this place and the bar manager tonight was amazing. Guys...... if u are reading this please note it is a great venue and one as a customer I feel proud to support.

I’m really sorry to say our visit to the glass house for drinks today was very poor. Nothing to do with the drink. Staff were friendly. Unfortunately no staff and very few customers wore masks. There was no real COVID measures. A small signing in book that was complicated. Staff should have done more to protect themselves and customers and ask those to leave who were loitering without masks.

Christy was excellent! She was polite, friendly, observant, understanding customer attentive , just amazing! We will come back! PAULA WAS brilliant too!

Great place to be!! The staff were excellent!!. The music was awsum!. All adhearing to covid 19 health and safety regulations... Will definitely go again!!!

Due to the new Covid restrictions and table service only, the service was a little slow but offered free drinks for the inconvenience and the staff members were very apologetic.You could see tables and seats being sanitised after customers left the venue. Overall for a night out with the new restrictions In place they were doing well, we would return in the future.

Me and some friends went to glass house at around 11pm and the staff were using drunk and rowdy customers to stand at the door and tell people not to come in. Random female with a whisky stood at door aggressively telling everyone It was closed. When we called staff out and told them what was happening they didn’t seem to care she was doing this. Please hire actual door staff instead of putting chavvy vile women at the door to scare people off. Thankyou

So a barmaid who works at the glass house in Ashford (not mentioning names) decided to cause trouble and decided to swear at me and abuse me when I walked in, a friend of hers was screaming in my face due to differences in the past, even though I was the person who got the abuse because she is a friend of management had me thrown out, the landlady/Manager was very rude to me when telling me to leave saying I had caused trouble in there before (Which is Irrelevant) even though I was the one who was verbally attacked on the way in and had already been in there many times since the incident I apologised for in February. A few people have had issues as of recent with rude staff at this establishment and that appears to include management.

The security staff were so rude. Told us there was no space all night. After question, When I asked if there was space If a table left they said yes. gave such a bad impression of the bar which we thought was a up and coming. Seems like ashford have hired rough security to deal with the so called rough clientele.

Well this place always on passing looks like a trendy little modern bar ... looks can be decieving in fact how they have a licence is beyond me firstly asked if they were participating in goverment eat out scheme but when ordered 2 non alcholic drinks no discount applied and was quite rudely told by very rude bar staff it was food only , this is not the case but i payed and sat down , what i wittenesed next shocked me the very intoxicated gathering outside came to glass house and members of group were served with complete no care of there licence the lady customer then paticipated in making a dubious transaction outside the glass house in the seating area . The waitress mingled freely with customers with lack of any Covid measures . I sincerly hope you make the improvements and abide by licence laws . Terrible experience .

New to the area and love a but of karaoke, came in on a sunday night only to be told no more singers, but for the next hour and half the karaoke team and friends say for the rest of the night. Barman was great but wont be back

I dont often write bad reviews but The Glass House and their ignorant pig members of staff have warranted it.My friend came to visit me in Trashford on the 29/02/2020 and I hadn't seen her for quite some time. I'd asked on one of ashford selling sites for recommendations of places to go for the evening and several had suggested The Glass House. So I took my friend there.Although one guy behind the bar was polite, they dont pay much attention to what is going on around them. I noticed quite a few people coked up to the eyeballs (which i suppose is up to those people that want to do that sort of thing) but bar staff couldnt care less and people obviously arent searched on the way in so doormen are pointless. There for show I'm guessing.My friend and I only spent a couple of hours there before heading home, to which my friend noticed that she hadn't picked up her coat in her tipsy state. By then it was too late as she had to catch her last train home so I said I would sort it for her. Since that night, I have repeatedly private messaged the bar, I've called and left several messages, even written on their Facebook page when they have promoted the events happening that evening, they have seen my messages (inbox on facebook) and they have seen the posted messages on their events postings and deleted every single one. So they clearly have something to hide. They found my friends coat and I'm guessing one of them noticed it wasnt cheap rubbish from primark and decided to keep it. Their dishonesty and ignorance has angered me to the point that I'm even angry at those who recommended that disgusting placeIf you're willing to risk having your belongings pinched, go right ahead and visit but I'd absolutely point blank not go there if you had any sense.There's plenty of other places in Ashford.Thieving #!##s!!

Visited on a Tuesday night so obviously not that busy but they did have a jamming session on which was interesting to watch/listen to

Fantastic Quiz night. We came as a group of eight for the quiz night and had such a fun evening. I always find the staff here so welcoming and friendly. There were so many people who turned up they had to get extra tables and chairs and in the end we had 21 teams. So much fun, great drinks and fabulous service as always. Thanks for another great night out.
