Called in on a Wednesday lunchtime as we passed by from Bristol airport on our onwards journey to family. Spotlessly clean, I asked for mayo, the squeezey bottle lid and bottle were spotlessly clean, as was the vinegar lid and bottle, toilets clean and tidy. All staff friendly, nothing was too much trouble - I asked for hot water to top up my pot of tea. We had chicken wraps and skinny fries, chicken was nice and juicy, good value for money. We would definitely go back if we were ever in the area again.

Has potential to be really good. Every time I've been the food has been nice. The play area outside is fun for kids and to watch the trains go by but really needs updating.. Doubt it would pass a health and safety inspection. Lots of bits of the fence have been broken with bits of wood rotting or sticking out and the climbing area is looking tired. This place is often very quiet. Just needs some tlc put into it.

Once again, a lovely day spent having a long lunch at the Full Quart. Excellent food, service and reasonably priced. Also very accessible. We had a table for 9 to include my grandson in a wheelchair and there was plenty of room for him to maneuver around. Just off the m5, it's an excellent place to meet up.

Stopped on the way home for a very early dinner just after 5:30, surprised they were serving so early. Waitress was very good and did her job very well. I enjoyed a fish pie which was the only dish on the specials board. Hubby enjoyed his spaghetti bolognese, though expected a sauce as it was dry. I loved my Caribbean coffee liqueur, and a Thatchers Blood Orange. He appreciated a Thatchers zero alcohol. They have a Sunday carvery and a function room tucked away at one end. Ladies toilets were basic but clean near the entrance. Good selection of food at reasonable prices.

We had a carvery here and it was absolutely awful We had eaten here before but off the main menu and never really had any issues so thought we would try the carvery. What a disappointment! Cauliflower cheese with absolutely no cheese Hard potatoes Hard peas Sloppy veg! I had 2 meats (beef and turkey) and the turkey was nice but I couldn’t cut through the 1 slice of beef I was given, so I gave up trying! My nephew ordered the steak (at £21!) and couldn’t even chew it (he asked medium -rare) The waiting staff were very nice and couldn’t fault them However when my father in law tried to complain (3 times whilst we were there) the staff weren’t interested one bit! He put a review on their facebook page and it was immediately deleted and he was blocked!! That says it all!! Don’t go here!!! Simple as! Dave your money!! In hindsight we should have read the bad reviews of the carvery meals on here before we booked!!!

We were passing through after a family weekend away and thought we would treat ourselves to a nice carvery. At £15.95 per adult and £9.95 per child I was expecting it to be a really good carvery. However that was not the case. The chef cutting the meat also puts the potatoes on your plate. I asked for crispy potatoes and that they were definitely not. The only way I can describe them is dried out as if they were lunchtime roast potatoes reused. They were not pleasant at all. It was certainly lacking what a nice carvery should be. A shame as the young girl serving was very pleasant but the food could of been a lot better.

Went for a Sunday carvery with family for birthday celebration. Very poor size of portions.. 2 slices of meat seems very tight. I have been to many carveries where you get a good sized portion of meat. Took over 20 mins to serve pudding and the Sundae was quite frankly an insult to desserts - chocolate ice cream with a Cadbury Cream egg is not really what we considered a pudding. At over £75 for 3 adults and 1 child is steep given the lack of quality. Unlikely to return

Six of my family had evening meal to celebrate my birthday. Everybody seemed to enjoy the food except for birthday boy here. I had the "beef" curry which although tasting nice was a complete disapointment. The first to arrive I swear had no beef at all. It was a veggie curry in a beef curry sauce. I sent it back and was served with another. This was a veggie curry with a couple of tiny bits of beef the size of mince. I really should have sent it back and had something else, but by this time the rest of the family were half way through. I was frankly disgusted. How they can charge £13.95 for a beef curry with no beef is beyond me and I am really offended that they thought this was acceptable.Despite the rest of the meals being ok, I would not visit this establishment again.I would advise anybody visiting this pub not to order the curry.

We thought we’d try somewhere that wasn’t a chain pub and has gone through several owners in the last few years.Unfortunately whilst the meal was OK, the only way I would go back would be on the same 50% offer. The food was fine. That’s it’s really. Certainly wouldn’t have been happy paying full price. Whilst there was nothing wrong., The wait was too long considering that most diners had booked. Also, considering that it was half price, not all tables were used so probably a sign of things. Portions certainly weren’t big. There were 6 of us including 2 teens and 2 OAPs and none of us had food left which shows that portions aren’t large. Service was OK. Menu limited. Pricing not great.

We stopped here on the off chance on a Sunday travelling down to Cornwall and we were really pleased we did. The carvery was decent and although we had arrived late and there was only beef left it was a lovely piece of meat. Plenty of veg to choose from. They have put lots of good measures in place for the current climate. Only one family at a time in the room getting their carvery and all serving cutlery is wiped down in between guests. There is plenty of hand sanitizer available. The puddings were the best bit and I would recommend their main and pudding deal on the carvery. The staff were beyond helpful - getting us a high chair when we asked and only charging us a small amount when we realised they did a main and pudding deal but we’d already bought our mains. Very good. There is a nice play park that is open which we tired my daughter out on. It’s not gourmet food but good if you’re looking for somewhere to fill you up.

I had phoned around a few pubs close to the airport and on route to Weston as needed somewhere to take my sister and brother in law when they landed early afternoon and The Full Quart was the only one who served food after 2pm so we decided to give it a try despite reading mixed reviews. Plenty of car parking space. Lots of seating in a nice setting and two log fires were burning which was welcome on a cold day. As it was 2.30 pm there were not many people in the pub and we were the only people eating.A friendly welcome. A typical pub grub menu with a few specials on offer. We ordered two fish and chips and two specials - turkey and ham pie with mash and vegetables but there was only one pie left so three of us had fish and chips. It's a pub that serves Butcombe beer which I don't like but my husband had a pint and commented that it was well kept.We didn't have to wait too long for the food and it was nicely presented. The fish batter looked overcooked and it was - very brown on the outside but greasy and slimey on the inside; my fish was meaty and tasty but my husband complained to me that the fish was greasy and left a lot of his batter. On the drive home my sister in law commented that she couldn't find any ham in the turkey and ham pie.Perhaps we should have commented about the fish and the pie at the time but as it was my treat, my guests didn't want to make a fuss - overall the meal was given a rating of 6 out of 10.I wouldn't go back for a meal from the menu but might give the carvery a try as the carvery has received some good reviews. A meal for 4 costs £44

The carvery looked fairly nice but they didn't have enough left for us, it was later in the day though so that's understandable. Staff are friendly enough but you can tell they get complaints alot as when we complained it seemed a very normal situation and we didn't even get an apology. Go here for a drink... not for food!

Excellent Carvery. Second time visiting for a Sunday lunch and have been impressed both times. An adult Carvery is £10.95, about average for food on a Sunday. You have the choice of 2 meats out of 3 and although my usual first choice at a Carvery (gammon) wasn’t available, I was impressed by the tasty pork and turkey. The portion sizes are determined by you so can be as generous or as small as you wish. The choice of veg was great, including a divine cauliflower+brocolli cheese ! Friendly, welcoming staff and a nice atmosphere to enjoy your Sunday lunch in. They also have a separate area for those visiting with dogs which is a great touch! Visited here 25/08/19 whilst visiting family in the area. We were a party of 9. 3 of us ordered a carvery and the rest ordered off the main menu. The carvery only had roast potatoes, no mash or boiled potatoes. It looked like it had been sat there all day. I opted for the lasagne. When it arrived It resembled a cottage pie. I put my fork through it and there was no pasta in it at all. The top layer was like mush? Never have I seen anything like it and all the party agreed. How can a chef not know how to make a lasagne? There also was minimal mince inside. It may have been homemade but a dozen one would have tasted better and like a normal lasagne. I sent it back immediately. I didn’t want to chance another main so I decided to have garlic mushrooms off the starter menu. They arrived after everyone finished their meal. The mushrooms were sat on top of a piece of toast which made it taste soggy. Not even nice bread or ciabatta. Definitely not worth the money. The sauce had curdled and split. I sent this back because it was inedible. This was by far the worst meal I have ever eaten. I wish I had taken photos. The meals are small portions and definitely not worth the money. Thank god my meals were took off the bill. On the plus side, there is a lovely beer garden with play area for the kids.

This was hands down the worst carvery I have ever had. The potoates were off, dry and tasted so bad I couldn't eat them in fact no one in our party of 8 ate them. Stuffing and parsnips were so dry the only way I could swallow them was with a swig of beer. The only edible part of the meal was the meat. I had beef and pork. Apparently the turkey was dry. I very rarely complain but this was honestly that bad. Please do not eat here you will be wasting your money. They agreed to take 2 carveries off the bill which wasn't great as none of them were even remotely edible.

I’ve visited here many times with my wife & daughters and have always had excellent food and the service has without exception been first class from ALL the staff; polite, friendly, attentive, professional...what more could you ask for! The menu is always good, with quick service and quality meals. We highly recommend trying The Full Quart if you haven’t already!

We've passed this pub many times but never at the right time, so when we the traffic built up due to road works, we decided to try it and we're glad we did. It is dog-friendly as has a dog bar with a low gate to ensure they stay put. The service was quick but the bar man could be more friendly; clearly a manager and not an owner with English not his first language but you can't have everything! The cheese & bacon burger was proper minced beef with chips and we had a side salad that was also good,

Went for the Fathers day carvery and the service was exceptional, my mum is a wheelchair user and they seated up at an easy access table and offered to help her carry her plate which was greatly appreciated. The food was a standard carvery and great value for £10.

We were a bit put off on entry because there isn't a huge space with tables to chose from but we managed to get a table late on a Sunday Afternoon. We were able to chose from beef, pork or turkey and there was a good choice of vegetables although some were slightly overcooked for our taste.

Went on a Friday night as a last resort due to other pubs being booked. Looked very quiet for a Friday night. Ordered Halloumi burger. What a mistake. It came in a cheap "late night takeaway" bun with 2 white " not grilled" slices of halloumi, a slice of iceberg and 1 slice of tomato. Just hideous and anemic. Wont be going back. Can see why it was so quiet. Servers were both miserable too.

This Restauarant is large and more suited for Groups and Families. There is little space for Couple Dining. However tthe outlet is certainly very busy so advisable to book for a Sunday. Do not expect anything other than what is on the tin a typical Carvery , two slices of meat and well done vegetables.

Haven't been here for years, sadly the pub nearest to us is just going downhill and the brewery seem quite happy for it to stay that way, so we thought we would come here. We really enjoyed our Carvery; we came late afternoon so were pleased there was plenty going on and loads of fresh veg still - there is nothing worse than when a pub says they are serving until 6pm but what they really mean is 'don't actually bother after 4.30'. None of that here - it was great. I expect we will come back and try something from the full menu soon! At the moment, the carvery on a Sunday is from 12pm to 6pm, with a reduced pub menu being served after it finishes.

One of my favourite local pubs, always good food, nice cosy atmosphere and very reasonable! Staff are always fantastic too. They offer some good specials in addition to their normal menu which I nice.

Booked for 6pm sitting with carvary. Had doubts due to late timings. Pleasantly surprised with plenty of choice. Good food and good service. Due to kids we split adults up to get food. Second visit requested to front of queue for food so all eat together. Seemed well family oriented. Watch out for tiled floor. Gets very slippery.

After the traditional lunch time seems to be quite a challenge in this country to find a pub venue which serves food. The Full Quart was welcoming and provided a slimmed down menu from the busier times. Good quality service and tasty ciabatta rolls ensures this pub and dining room is well worth a second visit.

To be fair the food is nice. I had the lasagne and it was lovely. My gripe is the amount of garlic bread served with the meal. Not even half the size of a small slice of bread. As a garlic bread fan I wanted some to accompany the meal not just a small taster! The carvery was excellent though as the family told me.l

Three of us enjoyed a great carvery on a Sunday lunchtime. It was all home cooked and of good quality as well as hot. Not the cheapest carvery I’ve been to but worth the money in my opinion. We did book a table but as it was a sunny day, opted to sit outside instead which was not a problem.

This was the third visit for the Bristol Area MG Owners Club (15 cars and 30 members on this ocassion) who met for Sunday lunch following a drive round the local area. As always Christina and her staff were friendly and helpful even opening up the toilets specially for our use before we set off at 11.00 a.m. The Carvery was excellent, as usual, and we were warmly welcomed.

From the décor to the menu.... to the service level,,,here it is still all about retro,...….remember.... those great golden olden days....when pub food was all about frozen, and the deep fryer...….fresh food was still an alien concept, well you will be pleased to know that in Hewish history is still alive and well. Words can not describe just how dismal the inside this building is... beer pumps that hold no great choice of cask ales. Wines that offer so little thought, a menu that has many a birthday it must be nearly be at maturity by now.... little point in writing about the cooking or the taste of the food it was just retro...…. some of the best cooking in this country now happens in pubs but sadly not here today.

Family visit from Australia. Mostly carvery meals. Quite disappointed that child’s meal came out last after 8 adult meals. Food was okay. Turkey was dry and peas hard. I’d return only for the child’s playground.

We were sat in the sunshine on a caravan holiday with our puppy and wanted to go for a meal. About 5 mins drive from the site is The Full Quart. We read the reviews and though “ perhaps not”. As we were driving out we were passing the pub and the car park was very busy. We decided to ask if they were dog friendly and if so, we would give them a try.

Came for the carvery but they had just finished serving it at 4pm. Decided to stay for a meal anyway. My coleslaw looked like it had been stood for a day with a thick film over the top!! The rest of the food was very average freezer type food. Had a great play area though. Maybe the carvery would have been different but we won't be going back to find out.

Visited initially with my wife for lunch not having been here for a number of years. The place has changed little with a great outside play area for children with pleanty of tables and chairs to enjoy the sunny weather. The menu is pretty standard but adequate fare for a pub - good tasty and hot - wines at varying prices to suit all. The visit was good so we took one of our granddaughters there - so she could play - she enjoyed the play area and food particularly the animal packed ice cream. There is a huge car park and for M5 traffic only a short drive from Junction 21. They do a Sunday Carvery but as yet we have not tried this - worth a visit

Overpriced and just not good enough. The sort of food I would expect from a very average town cafe. The staff didn't seem too bothered. Quite depressing compared to the lovely food they used to serve. I definitely would not recommend

My wife and I had turned off the M5 to look for somewhere to have lunch. We were lucky to come across 'The Full Quart'. There were only 4 couples there but I don't think that reflected on the pub in any way. There was a reasonable menu to choose from. We both had ham, egg and chips. I had a pint of Butcombe my wife a G & T. The ham was excellent as was the service.

We went for a carvery. The food wasn't great, I politely informed the waitress who greeted us with unbelievable rudeness in a very loud voice. Cannot believe that I'd bothered to talk to her quietly to save her embarrassment because she frankly had no shame. Have since tried The Brent House Carvery who are not only cheaper but serve beautiful local sourced meat and veg with wonderful accommodating staff.

Very busy café, but incredibly efficient team handling orders so no wait at all really! I had a chicken Sunday roast with extra gravy, they forgot my Yorkshire pudding and I didn't realise that I didn't have one until an hour later lol, oh dear, it's an age thing ha ha! Roast potatoes obviously deep fried, they were rather bland looking and tasting tbh, so oven roasts would have been much nicer as these weren't the best. £11.95 plus a coffee on top, so circa £15 in total. Dinner was nice enough, and the portions are generous also. I would return for the same, but with the Yorkie next time lol, as the service was excellent, very friendly indeed. Sort the roasties out and you're onto a winner! (P.S. I would recommend this place, the deserts looked absolutely gorgeous!)

Awful ! Overpriced ... poor service ! No meals except pastries .... a sausage roll was £6.95 ! I know it's a National Trust and we are members I agree they do a great deal of good. However, with such a prime seaside spot .... loads of families on the beach ...they should offer normal seaside food and priced! We had a coffee and a slice of cake and it came to £20 for 2 of us. Families are struggling at the moment. I can't understand why they don't offer traditional seaside food like a bag of chips, ice creams, lollies, milk shakes etc. They have a prime spot with a captive audience as its the only cafe at Brean down. Felt very dissapointed it could be so much improved !.... prices are Ridiculous !!!!! Service is bad you order then go to another partcto collect , no please or thank you ! I think they love dogs more than people !
