The Fratton Cafe in Portsmouth

I ordered the quick breakfast 2, 15mins later the waitress came out with set 2 2 meal on the menu, amother 10-15mins later out quick breakfast 2 waited another 5mins later the brown toast which which was so underdone it was like brown bread & butter not toast lol.

One of the best cafes in Portsmouth. Great fry up, amazing service and good value for money. Very clean and simple and also has a great menu.

Very clean, menus clear, and not sticky. Friendly staff and food was nice and hot. Coffee was hot. Definitely visit again

Always go in when Pompey play at home, travel down from Taunton and this is always my first port of call, excellent service great food reasonable prices

Rubbish. The owner is useless and overcharged me for my food. He charged me full price and burnt my chips, and the Hollandaise sauce was like custard. Terrible service. Also they have cheap take away cups. The coffee spilt into my handbrake on my car I though the sensor was gone. The mechanic told me there was sticky residue on the sensor once they cleaned it was fine. Cost £160 for a cup of coffee. Worst cafe Iv been to

we have visited this place many times over the years, the food is good the service is good and so are the prices, we will be using the place again for in the future.

Always a delicious breakfast here. One of the best value,efficient, and friendly cafe's in Portsmouth. Very kid friendly too and the waitress clearly adores kids. A good honest old fashioned (in a good way) cafe.

La primera vez que fuimos aquí la comida estaba caliente sabrosa y muy agradable, el personal no podía hacer lo suficiente para nosotros. La segunda vez, los camareros eran nuevos y obviamente no sabían qué se esperaba de ellos. Espero volver a ver si las cosas han mejorado. La administración es muy amable y algunos miembros del personal son miembros de la familia que también son muy amables y serviciales, fue la comida lo que lo decepcionó, así como el nuevo personal de espera, espero que la próxima vez sea mejor. El café era increíble.

I’ve been to this cafe so many times I’ve lost count. The service has always been great and quick. The staff are friendly and the food is good every time (granted we’ve only ever had breakfast!!) 😁😁

Very nice place with friendly staff. Visiting from Winchester and noticed that this place has many regular customers. Food is great, lots on the menu to choose from and good portion sizes.

There is a variety of items on the menu such as all day breakfasts, hot and cold sandwiches and baguettes, baked potatoes and omelettes - so a good place for a breakfast, brunch or lunch. The decor is basic, the food is good, the atmosphere quiet. It's near Fratton station. Price is reasonable.

Exactly what you want from a decent cafe. Great quick service and excellent food which is always hot and consistently good. Never had a bad breakfast here. Also do vegetarian and Turkish options.Great coffee and the bubble and squeak is excellent. Graet value for money too.

Fui recibido en la puerta, el camarero recogió mi pedido y me sirvió. Precio razonable de café El baño está deshabilitado y bien dispuesto, equipado, limpio y bien decorado. Buen trabajo Fratton. No hay mucho para vegetarianos para comer sin embargo.

Estaba buscando un café para el desayuno y encontré esto en línea. Éramos 5 y todos pedimos una mezcla de artículos. El anfitrión fue muy amable y acogedor, y la comida era muy buena. La cafetería estaba impecable y hay un inodoro ideal para personas de movilidad reducida y familias con todas las instalaciones. En todos 26, que fue una buena relación calidad-precio. Si se encuentra en Portsmouth o Southsea, visite. A mi hijo le encantó la opción de batido y el menú principal de todo el día también se veía bien!

Excellent service good food. Very obliging when changing items on the menu. Food always hot. Lovely friendly staff and always clean surroundings. Great for lunch times.

Pompey is well served with breakfast cafes, but this one is better than most, all freshly cooked, good fare, and no matter how busy they are they always have time for a chat, a great start to the day

My daughter and her boyfriend visit this cafe for breakfast fairly regularly. They recommended the big breakfast and it certainly didn't disappoint! Beautifully cooked, lots of it, piping hot and served with a smile. Couldn't ask for anything better.

We have eaten here a few times and the breakfasts are freshly cooked to order.

Walking down Fratton Road in a sudden rain shower, I popped into this Cafe for coffee and to take cover. The staff were welcoming and efficient, particularly impressive on a busy Saturday and this is clearly a popular venue. There is a wide range of the traditional cafe meals you would expect and looking at diners around me, the food looked well prepared and was certainly being enjoyed. Prices are very fair and I will make a point of visiting for a meal in the near future. The coffee was excellent.

Staff are very helpful. Amazing food everything we go there and at a decent price too. Also very clean and hygienic.

We popped in here for a lunch-time pitstop on a Sunday. It was busy but not full and several customers were having a full roast. Plenty of hearty basics to chose from on the menu and all served quickly. Everything we had was really tasty and hot. The only small gripe is that I'd like a teapot for my teabag rather than just the bag in mug of hot water. Very good value. Clean and family-friendly.

Paid parking on the main road but if you go into a side street you may be lucky enough to get a free spot for up to 2hrs.The place was quite busy but I was impressed with the cleanliness.

Not bad, bit pricy, clean, friendly, would use again but nicer cheaper places in town. Food is average beverages as other restaurants. No parking near by

Living just off of Fratton Road, I have tried out most of the cafes. This one is by far the best, simply because of it's wide range of options throughout the day. It's a far superior breakfast to the Wetherspoons across the road, only downfall is there has been some wrong orders/bills when I have been in there during busy times.

Always decent food for reasonable price . Really friendly owners , we tend to go in mainly to say hello as well as to eat. Always busy with regulars! That says it all ...get yourself down there .

Just walking though fratton and fancied some breakfast, wetherspoons across the road, same old menu, and then we noticed The Fratton cafe it had a few people in it so we thought we would give it a go. What a great move! lovely breakfast, great price, friendly and quick service and to top it off lovely fresh bloomer crusty bread, not something you get in many cafes these days. Can't wait to go back!

I found this cafe by accident, and it is a fantastic find. The staff are super friendly, place is spotless. Food is usual type of thing, breakfasts, lunches, roast in Sunday, special on Monday, always comes out hot, and never wrong order.

There are so many different combinations you can have for breakfast so you can have it exactly how you like it but if you go for the fratton special it's fantastic, everything you would have on a breakfast elsewhere plus more and it's great value for money. Staff very friendly and quick too.

The three of us went to the Fratton café for a informal business meeting. The food was fantastic and hot, great staff and super sufficient.

This is my favorite place for breakfast!! Bubble and Squeak.. Fried Break... Sausage, Bacon, Egg, Mushroom.... Everything you could possible want! Its so delicious! We tried their Sunday roast too which i though might not be all that great because they are after all a cafe, but it wasn't bad at all!
