I recently visited The Forth Bar, and I have to say, the experience was made even better thanks to Tom, the fantastic manager. From the moment we arrived, Tom ensured everything ran smoothly, greeting customers with a warm and welcoming attitude. His professionalism and attention to detail were evident throughout the evening, making sure both the staff and guests were well taken care of. Tom’s knowledge of the menu and drinks selection was impressive, and he went above and beyond to accommodate our group’s preferences. He checked in regularly to ensure we were happy with our food and drinks while maintaining a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It’s clear that he genuinely cares about providing top-quality service, and his leadership reflects in the efficiency and friendliness of the entire team. The Forth Bar itself has a great vibe, but it’s people like Tom who make it stand out. His excellent customer service, ability to handle a busy venue with ease, and his approachable nature truly elevate the experience. If you’re looking for a place with a great atmosphere and top-notch service, I highly recommend The Forth Bar – and make sure to say hello to Tom!

Paulicarus had to walk ten yards to his next pub, a beer Marque pub. Only a couple of real ales on out of four handpumos but St Austell Proper Job Pale Ale is a favourite. Rosie's Pig cider as well. Lots of standing space for busy times and surprisingly large pub with hidden rooms and an upstairs beer terrace. Toilets upstairs. Wife tells me lots of (7) ladies cubicles. Food served.

This is the place to go if you like friendly & helpful staff, a pub environment, creative and great tasting food along with lots of options for beer, wine & cocktails. We're going again, and we've been vacationing in the UK for the weeks and this place is a keeper.

Wonderful afternoon out. Service was outstanding, setting was really cozy. Great selection of games for a rainy day. Will definitely be back! Extra thanks to Sophia and Tom for being so welcoming.

Very cozy pub, with excellent food. The music here was not too loud like in some bars. Delicious fish and chips and extensive choice of drinks.

Bar was really lively and atmosphere was great. We managed to find a table despite it being so busy. Staff were friendly and efficient, didn't wait long to be served. Decor is cozy and place was clean. Will definitely go back.

Lovely place, friendly staff and a nice, chilled, local pub vibe. Great food, but most importantly, they still do table service! And it's quick! Way more civilised than other venues.

£17.50 for the standard burger and fries is insane. Although never got to try it as was told there was an hour and a half wait for food, even through it didn't look like the big group that had walked in had even ordered yet. Seemed overpriced for Newcastle, service blunt.

Came in for a drink with friends and Emily served us. She was fab and such a laugh even recommended drinks for us. Venues really cute would deffo recommend

Freshly discharged from hospital, I had the nourish bowl absolute perfection in a bowl, and sorted me right out, amongst the side of padron peppers, Shall not be a stranger to this establishment.

I booked our works Christmas party at The Forth, and to say they were accommodating is an understatement. They went above and beyond to meet our needs, even providing drinks tokens which is something they generally don't do. The food was amazing - everyone commented on how nice it was. And whilst to put itself was busy (we had a sectioned off part of the pub), the wait for drinks was pretty quick. Staff were lovely and very helpful - location wise it was stop on too. Nothing negative at all to report - just a huge thank you to the staff for their help and patience in the booking process. We will be back :)

Superb Christmas buffet, cosy pub with friendly staff! I recently hired the space (Tommy Burns room) for a festive family gathering. From the very first email the staff were super friendly and helpful (Tom and Laura) answering all my questions. There were plenty of options on the Christmas buffet menu for meat-eaters and vegans and all absolutely delicious. All who attended were blown away by the food. I will definitely be returning…. the vegan cheesecake was to die for! The pub has a lovely cosy atmosphere and great music. We were able to request songs through the ‘Secret DJ’ app which was brilliant. Thanks to all at The Forth!!

Had Sunday dinner here was excellent as was the service and drinks

I understand that food preferences vary greatly from person to person. We ordered two Sunday roasts (chicken and beef). Unfortunately, the chicken wasn’t properly roasted, and the beef was overly tough.

Very busy and loud not ideal eating right next to the bar we couldn’t hear eachother. We had the festive menu and was really disappointed, the starters were cold, the turkey dinner wasn’t much warmer, potatoes really dry, pigs in blankets missing and not very much gravy. Won’t be returning anytime soon

This is a fantastic pub-my favourite in Newcastle. A great place to spend my 60th-and an incredibly generous gesture by the management made it even better. Great place,great people-spot on!

Amazing atmosphere, staff were easily able to adapt to the various levels of incoming guests while still maintaining a personable and basically perfect level of customer service to their current clients. I was initially served (at the bar) by two wonderful ladies and then my table was taken over by a wonderful guy who has only been there barely a week; he made me some great cocktails and got my slightly awkward food order perfect! And then! The food itself was actually PHENOMENAL!! (Hats off to the cef and kitchen staff cos it was pretty busy for a Tuesday night IMO) I got the spiced fried onions and the nourish bowl with fillet steak tails - so frickin tasty! Totally exceeded my expectations. I had had a really heavy lunch and needed something healthy and nourishing aswell as meaty/ tasty/filling and this was just perfect! For drinks i recommend the Mai Thai that's0 on offer 2 for £13 (theres approx 6 drinks on this offer) I also had a crafter so if your into craft beers/ciders it's definitely à spot to check out Now I just have to try and not go back every other day I'm here so I can experience the other wonderful, tasty treats Newcastle City has to offer! Minutes from the station and my hotel so just perfect to roll home to after a long day of work if you're here for work and staying central 5 stars would 200% recommend Nourish bowl = £11 Fiĺlet Steak = +£8 Crispy spicy onions = £4 Cocktail offers = 2 for £13 Craft Cider = approx £5/6

Great pub with a really nice atmosphere in the heart of the toon. Good range of beers and lovely food, I've had a bangin' Buddha bowl and some delicious cauliflower wings recently. Shout out to the class staff who make it a lush friendly and welcoming place.

This is without a doubt one of the best bars in Newcastle, the service, drink choice and food is all extremely high quality and value for money!

Preciosa joya escondida en el corazón del centro de la ciudad. He estado aquí un par de veces y nunca decepciona. La comida siempre es genial, el ambiente es de primera categoría y el personal es muy amable también. Es mi lugar favorito en la ciudad para pasar una noche.

Wow, a really nice traditional, clean and cozy pub with great lunch deals and delicious food. Best sandwich I ever had, so full recommendations for the chipotle shrimp PO boy! And Tom and the girl with the blond and black hair are giving amazing service! Thanks a lot 😍

Always such a welcoming atmosphere at the Forth. The staff are always friendly and professional, the pints always cold. The bar has a quirky yet homely look. Would definitely recommend!

Busy pub in pink lane, seems to been for older people and always seems busy. Lots of small side rooms and plenty of seats. They had a pile of board games in there as well!

Decent bar in the centre of town.

Went to have some food before a show. The food was excellent, but took 45 mins to arrive and we basically had to inhale it so we weren't late. Really disappointed, might return, but only if I have a lot of time.

I arrived on Saturday for some birthday drinks and was feeling a bit peckish so I ordered the Nachos for two at a steep price of £10.50. the portion was actually decent and could be shared by two people, so if you're splitting the nachos with someone, the price seems alright. However, after taking one bite, I wouldn't have even shared them with a homeless dog as I'd probably get locked up for animal abuse. They were the worst, tasted stale, and the cheese was burnt to a crisp. I had to have a shot of Ray Nephews just to cleanse my taste buds.

2pm and no roasts left despite 2 tables of 6 people pre-booked - only nut roasts! The place wasn't even busy. Conveniently, we weren't told on our arrival or before buying our drinks which is dishonest! The Forth used to have a great reputation for Sunday roasts but, sadly, bo more. Not even an offer of a discount/coffees by way of making amends.

Fabulous food and service great atmosphere one of the best burgers that I’ve had for a long time and 2 for 1 on a Wednesday you can’t go wrong!

Can't recommend the Sunday Roasts enough! Gravy was rich and delicious, yorkies were collossal. Excellent pub food in the heart of the city. X

Great pub a little hidden away but super close too the station. Very welcoming of dogs; blankets, treats and water all freely available. Nice selection of beer and a fabulous crispy chicken burger for me. Spot on place for drinks and a bite with friends!

A beautiful city centre pub with a grand selection of beers. This place used to be my local when I lived up the street, always a decent clientele, no scruffs.

The Forth is the place to be. Mint atmosphere and lovely outdoor seating. Recommend you have a Tommys Margarita! Tom gives top service and mixes a mean margarita. :)

Great atmosphere, great bartenders

Relaxed atmosphere. Music and chat comfortable. Lots of taps and 5 hand pull casks. Widow tables were very sticky, could do with a wipe. Generally old crowd. Beer terrace is small and in shade in afternoon.

Came here for Sunday lunch. Me and my partner had chicken. Wow is all i have to say!!! I would 100% recommend.

The prices of the food are absolutely ridiculous. £13.50 for a burger which was greasy crap, the meat was chewy and the bacon was overdone. Chips are extra!! I have done over a hundred reviews and this is the first negative one I've done. I feel that I have to because it's so overpriced.

A fab pub in the centre of Newcastle. I contacted The Forth to host a private event and they were very accommodating and helpful in arranging it all. The event went really well and all the staff were super friendly.

Hosted my birthday party there, everyone had an amazing time.The food was lovely. Staff amazing from start to finish. Honestly can't fault it, highly recommend them. Would definitely book again.

I went with my family during the day, mid week..Nice burgers, great range of beers and ciders, nice atmosphere and very close to the centre of town. I can recommend the chicken burger and fit a few pounds more, added a pint of Aspalls cider.

On entering The Forth we had an incredibly upbeat and friendly welcome from Holly. The nachos with the beef short rib/brisket were delicious and the drinks as good as ever . Thanks Holly for making, it as always, a reason to return
