Had a great evening in the Foresters Arms, at their quiz night. Very friendly staff and crowd. Really good welcome for Geoff and my first time. Can well recommend this local pub for a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a good host for the quiz evening. See you next Tuesday for another battle with the quiz teams at the Foresters Arms.

Amazing local pub with great surroundings (stunning oak work and fireplace), friendly staff and locals. Not the widest variety of ales (3 or 4 real ales), but very well kept good traditional ales plus Salopian Oracle.

I ride with a cycling group every Wednesday and we visit a different pub / cafe each week. As there are normally 15 to 20 of us turning up at once even though we always pre-warn the venue we are often made to feel that we are a nuisance rather than valued customers. This wasn't the case at The Foresters we were served promptly with good value food and drink by very pleasant staff. Thanks we look forward to our next visit.

Went for drinks midweek. This pub is a lovely traditional drinking pub. Lisa is trying really hard shame she never receives the beer order she wants. Local residents are using the pub and we all want it to succeed but the way the pub is organised above Lisa is awful. Lisa is wonderful and deserves better!! Lisa gets 5 stars.

Great little pub serving a selection of local beers, along with the normal euro lagers and Irish stout. The staff are welcoming and the locals friendly. The only food I've eaten here are the meat pies, which taste great - especially after 4 pints of Sarah Hughes!

This is the local we've waited twenty years for. Liz and Jim are lovely, friendly hosts and they work hard to make the Foresters a welcoming pub. It's clean and warm with open fires. The real ales are well kept and there's always something new to try. They serve good, fresh pub food and having listened to their customers now serve a good choice of tasty, well presented vegetarian dishes. The times food is available suits the small pub environment perfectly, giving the pub back to the drinkers after 7 pm. We love it, thank you!

If you've not been here recently, you should give it a try and you won't be disappointed. Liz the landlady, has an exemplary record in turning round local hostelries into good watering-holes with a friendly atmosphere, good real ale and home made food (no chips). There are a couple of established bitters and with new and a regular rotation of guest beers on the other 4/5 pumps. Food ain't bad either !.......but only early evening. A page has been set up on Facebook to see promote the next available guest beers and events. Take a look, you won't be disappointed !

Recently under new management, this lovely village pub now has 6 hand pulled bitters to choose from. This weekend it has held a beer festival with 22 different real ales to try. The pub has come alive again and I struggled to find a seat on my usual Friday night visit, even outside customers were standing on the front and rear car park.. This pub is for conversation not loud music, Liz the new landlord is friendly and the bar staff work very hard. I cannot comment on the food as I have not eaten here, Worth a visit to try the ales and see what you think . Its on a good bus route from Crewe to Sandbach so no driving required .

Liz and her team have injected a new lease of life into a pub that was desperately needing resuscitation. The previous landlord had, over a 7 year tenure, dragged a great little pub towards a near death experience (for both the pub and its customers!). The village now has a lovely clean and welcoming hostelry with a great range of 7 local real ales. It's lovely to see people in there that I haven't seen for a number of years. I would highly recommend a visit if you enjoy a pint of excellent real ale and a warm welcome.
