Had a wonderful lunch with friends and the food was delicious! We will definitely be returning and hopefully for. A Sunday lunch

Came for a Sunday roast It was the best I’ve had in a long time All the staff were very friendly and happy to help with any questions we had Looking forward to next Sunday already I’ll be heading back 😀

My sister and I called into this lovely looking pub/restaurant on the way to visit our mum. Beautiful day very warm. It was really hot in the restaurant ( no fans or air con). I ordered a spinach feta and butternut squash gluten free tart with a green salad and boiled potatoes. The gf tart was very over cooked to the extent that the pastry was shattering instead of cutting cleanly. The filling was virtually black , the feta , unfindable and the squash formed wet patches in the extremely hot tart. The potatoes were bland with no dressing I could find. The salad tasted like it was dressed with plain oil. Very bland and not good to look at. My sister ordered the cherries mac and cheese with garlic bread . She rated it mediocre at best. Again it was extremely hot. And the ciabatta roll which they used for the garlic bread was very hard and extremely chewy. We also had a coffee each. For £40 I feel we could have had a better meal just about anywhere else. I will not be eating there again. Money is harder to come by in todays economy and this felt like a waste of it.

I ordered Sea Bass and asked if the crushed potatoes could be swapped with extra veg. The response was “I can’t do that”. The potatoes comprised the majority of the plate. The sea bass fillets were small but good. The vegetables, mangetout and peas, were very nice.

Great Service, Great Food, Great night out. Highly Recommended. Local pub with a good variety of pub food at a reasonable price. Also good selection of wines and beer.

My family booked a meal on Christmas Day unfortunately it was dreadful for the following reasons My meal 2 types of beef unable to eat as the beef was a piece of steak that was completely undercooked. My two grandchildren left 75% of their meals. My son ate his even though it was sub standard My daughter in laws was OK nothing special The adult cost was £70 The staff were very stressed due to being under staffed for a busy day. I did complain and was told my dissatisfaction would be passed to the chef!!! Unable to get drinks due to one poor girl trying to serve everyone

Always a cheerful welcome from Damien, Sharon, Cara and the team and a nice atmosphere. Food has been very good and we have eaten here a few times with no problems. We will be coming again.

We had a Boxing Day meal as a family of 8 at the Folly which we paid over £400 for to be insulted! The food was lovely. The service was quite slow but we were massively upset that a member of staff approached us in the car park to say someone had claimed we were smoking weed! My partner spoke to the manager about it but there was no apology to us and I've written to the pub and to Marston’s with no response so clearly, they think this is how to treat customers. I won't be going back and I would recommend anyone thinking of booking a meal here to avoid the place.

Really lovely pub with pleasant staff and a nice atmosphere. Great food well cooked and served quickly too. I visited last summer and said I'd return. I was equally impressed this time too. I'll definitely be recommending it to others

We went on New Year’s Eve expecting a band, however this had been replaced with a disco. The service was brilliant with very friendly staff. Unfortunately the food let it down. The chicken was dry and portions far too large. Sauce was very thick. Beetroot and feta tart was disappointing, with lots of store bought pesto and chunks of feta added as an afterthought. All our steaks were overcooked. That said we had a nice evening.

Waited over 35 minutes for order to be taken in a less than half full pub, no explanation given and it was mid afternoon so not busy, so stay clear unless you want a long wait, staff very inefficient.

We stopped off after trying to locate a pub open for food at 8ish on a Friday night as we were driving to Wales in our camper. It was a lot hard than you think it seems places do not want to serve food after 7pm anymore. The website let me book a table quickly and easily and a nice surprise they had a 30% off voucher. The carpark was full when we turned up which I feel is always a good sign. We were greeted by friendly staff after arriving a bit early. But this was not a problem for them. A singer was just setting up for the evenings entertainment so the place had a happy party vibe to it. The pub happy accommodated the camper advising where to move it so it would be quiet as they let us stay in the car park over night - great added bonus) The food was great I had the fresh chicken kebab - was so full after eating I could not manage desert.
