Food absolutely disgusting.. wouldn’t feed half of it to a dog.. 7 of us visited for lunch after attending a business meeting in Stokenchurch.. Drinks were fine, we sat in the garden on basic pub bench table with no parasols which was needed on a hot day.. there was a wire hanging around (see pic) which could be dangerous if children touched it, should really be taped off or removed considering the garden is geared towards children. Food took around half an hour to arrive after ordering.. we were informed 15 minutes after ordering there were no paninis so could only have a sandwich.. surely we should have been advised of this sooner so we could maybe choose something different as we were pushed for time.. Anyway.. onto the food! OMG, my colleagues tuna sandwich was inedible (see pic) bread was thin white sliced value bread that was soaking wet with tuna juice.. my other colleague had Hunters Chicken and the cheese on the top was so burnt she couldn’t cut through it.. chicken was rubbery and tough and inedible.. tuna jacket potato was dry, no butter and mushy tuna.. BLT sandwich was again thin bread that seemed to have been slightly toasted but tasted like it had been left out to become dry! However.. another colleague had a pie and she said that was nice.. so one good meal out of 7… the chef needs sacking or re training as this really lets the place down.. we will never return!

Nice pub but... Food . Purpose menu that was expensive especially 3 pounds for 20 chips. Food was very basic and expensive. Bought 3 rounds of drinks and each time the price was different. Not really friendly baring in mind 100 people were spending money at a time that it would be empty. On a positive note the beer was ok

Visited nearly every day this week.Went back on Saturday for food. Only about 3 people eating and the restaurant was empty. Stated couldn't serve us as they had a large booking later! We stayed and had a drink and left about 3/4 of an hour later. Most people had left by then , no one eating and still empty restaurant. Blonde bar maid then recomemended a number of other places to eat none serving till 5pm. Thanks a lot we visit area often and were happy that this place was now open. Rubbish service won't be back spent about £150 else where.

We booked Fleur de Lis for a small family gathering. Hats off to Kas who was very helpful from the planning up to the execution of the event. She offered amazing food choices and ensured that there will be more than enough for all the guests. The kids also had a great time in the garden and even did an impromptu picnic on the grounds while the older guests stayed inside to enjoy the food and drinks. I can highly recommend Fleur de Lis for events be it big or small. You will have nothing to worry about and it will be more than what you hoped for. We will definitely keep the place in mind for our future events. Thanks Kas and team! You were amazing!

Visited the fleur at lunch on Wednesday the service was quick to be fair as I said I only had a hour lunch break. Had not been impressed with the food before but thought let’s give it a go post refurb and was very disappointed! I choose gammon egg and chips and peas swapped my chips for salad, £7.50 is good for a pub gammon anyway when it arrived it turns out it was ham and a single burnt fried egg! The salad was mainly peppers and I think most my peas had disappeared. A pint of coke was also £3.50 this is very expensive for a village pub! Will stick with the cafe Or the Royal Oak food quality and value is far better!

Just got back from a Father's Day meal and have to say the roast chicken meal I ordered was by far the nicest roast meal I've ever had at any traditional pub. All three of us (husband and daughter) ordered a roast. It took a little while to come but I now realise this is because it was all cooked from scratch so well worth the wait. All three meals were piping hot when they arrived together on the table. The veg was perfectly cooked... evidence that it hadn't been hanging around all morning. The roast potatoes were cooked to perfection. And the chicken was perfect. We love the food so much we stayed for dessert and coffee! I would highly recommend this pub, not just if you are passing as we were, but as a special occasion!

Found this lovely pub just 2 minutes minutes off the M40 j5. Very friendly staff. Good choice of food on menu including some vegetarian choices, reasonably priced. Food was served quickly. Good food and portion size was right. A nicer break than motorway services. It was dark when we visited but there was a large green in front of the pub if you had children needing to 'let off steam'. We left the Kings Hotel appalled & found this place just across the green. This was smart & clean inside & modern with new furniture. We explained that we had an appointment at 2pm {it was about 1pm by then). The waitress was very friendly & said she would ask the chef if he could do it - she came back & said it would be OK. I explained I was coeliac & was told all would be fine. 15 minutes later our food arrived hot right through & explained they have a special fryer for the chips so that nothing containing wheat, barley, rye etc was cooked in that oil. All I can say is exceptional food, exceptionally helpful lady at bar & would recommend this to anyone.

We chose this location through the Tripadvisor reviews as a place to stop after a day in London en route back to Worcestershire. There is no way we'd ever have found it without knowing about it first, and even if we ha we probably wouldn't have stopped there as it looks so unprepossessing from the outside. On entering, the pub has obviously been recently re-modelled to have a restaurant area and a pub area, but we were invited to sit wherever we wanted for our meal. The staff were very helpful, although rather short-handed so the service was not particularly fast, but the food when it came was beautifully presented, and definitely they get the prize for the crispest fluffiest tastiest chips I've ever had (and believe me, I know chips!!) The waiting staff fell over themselves to accommodate us and nothing was too much trouble. What a pity the pace wasn't jam-packed, as this place deserves to do well.

While we were out on Sunday we decided to have lunch. We stopped at one pub/restaurant as we were passing and despite many empty tables they told us that they were full until 5 and the smugness with which this was expressed made us feel unwanted. We drove on and found The Fleur DeLis not on the Green but looking across it and aren't we pleased that we did. We got a friendly welcome and were seated and given menus. As it was Sunday we plumped for the roast, decisions - which meat to choose, and big or small portions! It came properly, a good selection of nicely cooked veg and plenty of meat. Finally the price which we thought was very good value.

I remember the last time I popped in to this place. Hateful décor and getting that look that you get when you're not a regular. I have avoided it ever since on that basis until this month following a recommendation. Most miffed I haven't been sooner. The transformation is great. Light and bright without being austere giving the feeling of a gastro pub without going over the top. Good choice of beer from friendly staff. Good choice of food including specials. The chef clearly knows his business and the pies are clearly home made, made with both passion and ability and cooked to perfection. There's no soggy bottom here! The open fire / flagstone floor feel retains the right ambiance of a village pub in a (Very) rural village. The pool table means that teens can also have fun. There's an outside if you come on the right day but the award goes to the chef for making the pub food that you expect into something that is a cut above. Recommended.

The food is of a very high quality and was very enjoyable, best chips that I have tasted in years. Not cheap but definitely worth it. Staff were very pleasant

We stopped on our way to a wedding with friends and the bride and groom and we're delighted with the service and the kindness of the staff and land lord. Chilling down champagne and very goodarlow beer served in a very clean and tidy pub. We didn't eat as we were off to a wedding breakfast. But the menu looked good so we will go back and try it soon

Five of us went here last night for a meal. All had different & we were all very pleased with our food - all empty plates! Staff were young and amazingly friendly & helpful. I haven't been to this Pub for years and was amazed at the transformation! Would certainly go here again.

There were very few potatoes, a piece of haddock which was non-descript, no peas and what could only be described as a salad garnish. Dark leaves with surprisingly very little flavour. Overall very disappointing. We won't be returning.

This is our local pub and boy are we pleased! The service is fabulous and the food is extremely good value for money. I strongly recommend the home-made soup. Extremely nice front decking and rear beer garden with water feature.

Stopped here on our way to Ascot Races for a pre-booked breakfast, all 54 of us (including the coach driver). Plenty of outdoor seating, both facing the common and in the rear garden. The breakfast was a serve yourself buffet and there was plenty for everyone. The bacon was thick and tasty; though I suspect oven cooked as it was impossible to fine any crispy bits. The little herby sausages were very nice. The black pudding was the tastiest I've ever had on an English breakfast. Fresh grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, beans and loads of toast. The only downside for me was the lack of fried eggs, but everyone else seemed to enjoy the scrambled eggs on the buffet. Real butter on the tables. Plenty of tea, coffee and orange juice. There was not a single complaint from anyone and, at 1 minute from the M40, nowhere could have been more convenient. It's a place I'll remember for future trips down the motorway.

pizza is good and sunday dinner ok but the breakfast was so disgusting it was an indurance and i only ate 2 mouthfulls and left the rest. The jumbo sausage was the lowest grade cheap sausage i've ever had in my life but the price wasnt cheap and people dont eat that cheap type sausage and bacon anymore. Well i don't and can't! For the price I forget exactly but was about £8 possibly more i expect a cumberland with some meat content. The bread was cheap sliced too, eggs horrible. totally revolting and i live in the village. I boycoted the place ever since. For pizza and sunday dinner 3 or 4 stars breakfast -0. You couldn't pay me to eat that crap let alone mug me for £8. Advice is please avoid the breakfast at all costs. Nice staff mind you but they haven't a clue when it comes to breakfast

Sunny day (Saturday 8 September), fete/beer festival going on on the village green (immediately in front of the pub), lots of people around (including the pub being packed). Asked to have a look at the evening food menu - to be told 'we don't do food Saturday evenings'! Therefore can't say what it would have been like.No wonder so many pubs are going to the wall if they can't see the sense in making good of every opportunity.Went to 'The Royal Oak - Gurkha Hut', across the road - where we had fantastic service and excellent food.

Four of us from out of area dropped into this pub for lunch. We sat in the garden as the weather weather was good. We ordered food and this was brought out to us. The food was tasty and well priced. When I went back in to order post lunch tea and coffee I reminded them of our table number but was told very sharply "you have to take them out yourself. We don't bring drinks out." I had to ask for a tray (4 drinks). When a lady came to clear the table I said "can I say something". She said aggressively "you can say what you want". I expressed the view that asking a customer to carry 4 hot drinks outside, including opening a heavy door, was dangerous and had I spilt some and scalded myself this would have been a problem for all concerned. This was said in a calm manner - no shouting, no bad language. She said "I'll get the manager - I don't like being spoken to like that". Another lady arrived, apparently the manager, and asked what was the problem. I told her. She said they don't have the staff to bring drinks outside. The customer must do it. This lady was scruffy, rude and totally uncompromising. She eventually said sorry through gritted teeth. I do not expect such rude and appalling treatment. Eat indoors if you want to stay safe and not be insulted.

Caribbean curry needed to be returned to kitchen as it arrived tepid, and it was very bland - not at all fruity or spicy as described on menu. In addition to this, l left with a very sticky sleeve and underside of trainers where a spill hadn’t been hadn’t been cleaned properly.

Arrived at the premier inn to stay away for work, went to the brewers fayre. I walked in and was told they have a limited menu due to shortages of food. Wasn't given a menu of the limited menu even just habit of a4/a5 bit of paper so we could see what was on offer. We then sat for around 15-20 minutes before someone came over to ask for drinks and they only came over because we prompted to do so. After drinks and food was ordered drinks turned up a further 15 minutes later and again I had to go to the bar to get it. If the restaurant was busy I would understand however it was empty. I ordered the big stack burger and it came out scorched with the tiniest dollop of sauce in the burger. The second night we weren't greeted at the door we had to wait 10 -15 minutes before someone came and took us to our seats. Overall not great, which is a shame as I have eaten at brewers fayre before and it's really good service and food. So I'm putting this experience to a "bad week".

Lovely setting, food not bad either. Staff are very friendly. Setting is pleasant. However, when I went there were some idiots swearing too much for my liking. Not making it suitable for couples or families. Pity, I'm sure it's just a one off though. I would take my gf here on another day.

I went to celebrate my birthday with friends and we had the Festive Cream Tea. I had booked a time previously. When we got there a table was all ready for us in front of the Xmas tree, hot drinks came promptly followed by the freshly prepared cream tea. It was absolutely delicious! The amount of food was perfect and not too sweet! We had a lovely time and weren’t made to feel rushed at all. I regularly have lunch here, the staff are friendly and food nicely prepared.
