Vino aquí en una visita de fin de semana a Newcastle y quedó seriamente impresionado con la calidad de la comida y el servicio. Nuestras cucharas de agua locales han sufrido una caída inexplicable en el servicio en las últimas semanas, deben aprender cómo hacerlo de los Cinco Cisnes. Muy recomendable.

Cheap drinks, and busy as a Wetherspoons usually is on a Friday evening. Plonked outside for a seat and fresh air before going elsewhere.

Went into The Five Swans after a trip to the city hall. The match had not long got out and every table was taken, but managed to find 2 comfortable stools at a bench upstairs. Being so packed, we expected the wait to be long, ordered pitchers of coctails and bbq paninis, and sat back people watching to wait. No more than a few minutes later, our drinks arrived, followed shortly behind was our food. The food wasn't to rave about, but for the price, time of night and how busy it was didn't expect much more, hence the 5*. The staff, atmosphere, and cleanliness were all better than I expected. The empties were removed and tables were turned around quickly. Staff were polite, helpful and happy. Would deffo go back.

El lugar estaba absolutamente lleno, pero solo tenía que esperar unos minutos para las bebidas al hacer el pedido a través de la aplicación. Gritar al personal, que realmente se injertó duro mientras estábamos dentro.

Great city centre pub. Lots of different seating areas. Food reasonable.

Spent the night in Newcastle. Great prices for drinks on the night and an excellent breakfast the day after - well cooked and flavourful.

Had their spicy chicken wings today,they were awful must have been deep fried umpteen times before I got them because they were cremated.

I like to go to this place because it's cheap and cheerful and has a good atmosphere, however I went just before Christmas and decided to go for the Christmas dinner. I can only say it was disappointing! Few vegetables, not much turkey and swimming in gravy. Probably the worst food I've had there unfortunately. I will still go and consider this instance a one-off as the food is usually good value for money. The staff are always very efficient and friendly.

Food terrible, had 3 small plates, food was cold, I did not enjoy any of it. When I got home had to have my tea again.

Staff very attentive and place had a great atmosphere considering how busy it was! We went to the bar to get served and was only there a short while food came quickly and was spot on would recommend!!! 10/10

Ni siquiera pude entrar al pub porque estaba temblando. El portero me dijo que esperara 5 minutos afuera en el clima -2 y luego me dijo que debía estar borracho porque estaba temblando. Teniendo en cuenta que no bebo, obviamente estaba confundida, entonces le pregunté al otro portero y ella dijo que no sabía lo que significaba borracho. Cómo 2 personas pueden estar tan despistadas que no lo sé. Estupidez en su máxima expresión.

Great place to grab a bite to eat. Tables were dirty and the coffee machines were broken.

What a lovely place to get food at really good value for money

Even though this place can get busy, I love the food and drinks here. They offer plenty of options, but I especially go for the passionfruit drink and the steak. The breakfast is top-notch, and the prices are very reasonable too.

Came last night for my birthday, and was appalled by how I was treat. Tables were filthy and hadn’t been cleaned by anyone in hours. Ordered some drinks, showed my ID and was having a great time until the bouncer came over and demanded that I leave. I asked why and he gave absolutely no explanation, offered to show my ID (after he watched me hand it to the woman), and then proceeded to snatch my drink out of my hand and said I would receive a “life ban” if I didn’t leave at that moment. The “bouncers” need proper training instead of intimidating young women, and this isn’t the first instance I’ve heard of staff or bouncers making people, especially women, uncomfortable. Get it sorted. Needs to give their heads a wobble because wtaf!!! £16 down the drain for a poorly made pitcher and a cider. 🤣

A great place to breakfast and only a short 10 minwalk to the central station and near the Haymaket bus station. We'll laid out and as always a great menu and drinks on offer.Very busy I gather on evenings and popular with football fans with St James's Park a short walk away.

Visité a estos tipos de camino a la ciudad para un concierto. Pedimos nuestra comida y bebida en la aplicación, así que realmente no nos ocupamos de muchos de los empleados, pero los que nos pusimos en contacto con eran muy amables. Un lugar muy agradable - comida decente a un precio decente.

Just a Decent and Reasonable Pub..Good Prices for drinks and the bar staff and doorman are really friendly..A lot of people drink here then go to the City Hall to watch the groups...I hsve never eaten here so i cant really comment on the food..

Visited these guys on our way into town for a gig. We ordered our food and drink on the app so didn't really deal with many of the staff, but the ones we did come into contact with were really friendly. A very nice spot - decent food at a decent price.

Came here for breakfast. I like the app ordering system, which is fast and efficient. I ordered the eggs florentine with unlimited coffee. The eggs florentine was delicious, with the eggs still slightly runny. However, I'm not a big fan of the coffee from the machine, and it would be good if there were better coffee options, even for a slightly higher price.

Absolutely packed pub, found seats and ordered using app. Drinks arrived quickly (good selection) and food followed quite quickly too and all four meals served together. Really good portions and hot.

Used to really like this place but they've made it harder and harder to have an enjoyable time here. Over time less and less doors have been made accessible so everyone gets bottlenecked through the same tiny areas. And to make matters worse they then put entire tables and chairs in these tiny areas and walkways so you have no choice but to be in everyone's way. Most of the bar staff understand this concept but if you have the unfortunate luck of being in way of this aggressive blonde lady who pulls pints there then god help you. Most people politely say excuse me but not this member of staff, on multiple occasions when letting other people past this woman would push or get up in my mum's face. Mind if you want to be drunk and arsey they didn't seem to mind any of that just families trying to enjoy a quiet drink seems to rub them the wrong way I guess...

Called before and after a concert at O2, great value for money

Far too much chatting to customers and not just serving food and drink, had to stand for 20 minutes on a Monday for a pint. No iorder for regular drinks either? Very strange. And not once was my ID checked. Which is incredibly concerning

Amazing pizza, very tasty. Wine pleasant. Nice pub and would return, comfortable seating. Only criticism is the toilet takes some getting to upstairs.

Low expectations for a Spoons as is the norm but after waiting ages for the bar (as the app wasn't working) and then ages for the 1 hot drink machine that serves a very big pub (dirty area and not topped up for sugar etc for a while) the Duty Manager mumbling a dish at the back of our heads then just dumping it on the table and walking off sealed the low score. The server at the bar was friendly though.

I walked in the side door, found the counter, ordered 2 ciders, enjoyed while paging through the magazine. Near empty, I ordered a chicken burger, which quickly arrived, and tasted great. Just got lost in a maze of ups and downs trying to find the toilet.

Good meeting place for food and a drink before going into town.

Had better meals from here in the past

Food was nice but very Small meal portions. Adult portions where the same as a child's meal. My partner counted he had 15 chips on his plate altogether. When finished we put our plates in a neat pile and my partners plate was same size as our child's plate. If charging for an adults meal would be nice to receive an adult size portion.

The staff got more chins than a Chinese phone book and look as if they ate more chips than in a Chinese takeaway. The place is an excuse for a pub and packed with geordie degenarates.

Yes it was very nice. I met some friends & we had a drink first. They had some special offers wich were very good. We then decided to go inside for something to eat. It's basic but it's nice, I had scampi & chips, there was enough & it was nice. It was a really nice afternoon, reasonnable & spend in nice surrounding.

Good value for money nice pub outside space too. Lunch for family of 4 under 40 pound including drinks.

It was a really nice day so full window front was open and plenty of outdoor seating was available. Getting to the Toilet is a bit of a trek though!

Went in with Family for food and a couple drinks I got the fish and chips with the bread and butter must say would have again batter was lovely and had a nice glass of white wine to wash it down. will be coming back for sure.

llevé a mi pareja y a mi bebé a comer algo mientras estábamos de compras para el día que tuve pescado con papas fritas que mi pareja tenía al curry. Precios decentes para un centro de la ciudad cucharas y el personal es más que servicial, incluso con el pub que está ocupado con el clima caluroso fue un buen montón de caras felices sin duda volverá.

Ordered meal and they forgot to put chicken in it. So they said we'll bring some out. By which time the pasta had gone cold and the chicken was appalling. Cold, tough as old boots. The pieces of chicken looked like stuff I'd throw away from a roast. Just awful. The other meals were ok but this problem let everything down.
