Morrisons Supermarket Cafe in Newcastle upon Tyne

No staff working, what staff there were couldn't careless about customer service. No trolleys available at the store, apparently you have to search the car park to find them?? Come on Morrisons get your act together!

Love Morrisons. The staff on the tills are friendly nice to talk to them nice shop clean shop some nice stuff

I have delivery or collection no one answers, if I call the phone the robot answers and hangs up 🤔🫡and here I go back the way I came

Clean store, lovely cafe with great staff wide range of hot/cold food and snacks, store itself well stocked wide range of vegan/vegetarian foods

Nothing spectacular.they have sold products which have been months out of date& some of the staff have been nasty when you have tried to help vulnerable people. They also accuse you of stealing when their self service tills don't work properly

This is the third week running there have been no trolleys inside the shop and very few in the trolley parks. I was told they employ someone to keep them filled up but everyone was still searching for a trolley after I had been in the shop for over an hour.Please can you get this problem sorted.

I'm sick of getting locked in the self check area. I'm not sure how it's meant to work, but it really annoying

I took my mum along to morrisons at blaydon for a change, which I mum is in a wheelchair I went to get a trolley to attach to wheelchair and the didn't have any I can't believe that a big store like morrisons don't have any. they did have the scooters to do your shopping but not everyone is able to drive these.

Been here quite a few times, some meals better than others, meal turned up lady carrying it on a tray with the fork and knife but tray was dirty and not in a napkin, had to get more napkins and wipe over before could eat. Ordered a Sunday roast it was warm and the jug of gravy came out thick... overall ok

Great staff, very friendly, not badly priced but even though its close, 300 metres away I can't stand shopping here. The rubbish around the fenced power box, the cycle path, the social club.. nearly all comes from morrisons. Yes, not them dropping litter but it's their front of house. It's disgusting. Such a depressing state for locals to see daily. Some sort of civic responsibility would be appreciated. They used to do litter picks but it appears they have stopped

The shop is always untidy. The shelves don't look like they've been worked and I also found a bag of chicken wings that has been there that long. They were green. Mind you for 25 pence what are you expecting. Morrisons is the most expensive of supermarkets with prices sometimes double that of other places. I'd go here at a push but in no hurry to go back. After my initial review, nothing much has changed. It's still a complete rip off.

Decently run, good selection. Also they have a hot counter so you can eat chicken dippers like a disgusting monster whilst hungover in your car after doing a shop. Update: I wouldn't say the staff ACTIVELY hate you, they'd probably piss on you if you were on fire, just don't expect them to have a drink of water if they don't quite put it out first time. Updated update: I take it back. Not a drop of piss will be shed on your immolated body.

Quicker to head off in to the wilderness, hunt a wild fowl, take it home, butcher it yourself , cook it and serve, than to wait to be served at the cooked meat counter

Lidl is cheaper, Tesco is better

The experience was positive, with helpful and friendly staff. It offered good value for money, and they had some Indian items available as well.

Hostile shopping experience, expecting you to shoplift everything. Everything it's either tagged or locked away. Forced one way barriers at entry and an exit barrier that doesn't seem to open if you haven't bought anything.

I suppose anywhere you go shopping now availability for products is happening, Morrisons used to do a lot of their own brands but not now, the fresh produce is terrible,bought a pack of onions all of them went in the bin,they must have them too long in refrigeration but bananas celery and much more other produce I found have been in the same condition, inedible

Blaydon cafe. Ordered food and a cup of tea. Given a dirty cup, asked if I could have a clean cup and was given another dirty cup. No apologies, just said ok. Was given a free tea as food took so long. Given ANOTHER dirty cup! Took it back and a staff member was using a cloth to clean surfaces, then used the same cloth to clean my cup. I gave up and just left it. No customer service and no regards for hygiene.

Very helpful pleasant staff on shop floor and lovely first visit to Café.

Just to say how lovely and helpful the man in the bakery is. Twice I have asked if there were any doughnuts ready and he has stopped what he is doing to go and finish some specially for me. This morning he was rushing around kneading bread as a machine was broken but still insisted he would get them done for me. A real star.

Popped in for a couple of items got what I needed. Self checkouts waited awhile before someone came to assist, was only light on at the time but other lights came on and were seen to first, when member of staff came to assist there was no apology for wait. This is why I don't shop at morrisons west denton anymore. Member of staff looked as if she didn't want to be there.

Always a good place helpful staff nice choice . Foids good in tbe restaurant but please please can you put frelt covers on the bottom of the chairs the scraping noise is do louds puts me off using the restaurant

Used to shop here before the Aldi & Lidl days still like to call in and check out the delicious deli counter. Tesco now has none so morrisons is king

Dreadful, I ordered fish and chips in the cafe. The chips and the fish were well overcooked and cold. The fish had not been drained properly and was awash with oil. The chips were inedible. The assistant couldn't find a manager to complain to, and wouldn't give me my money back as she wasn't authorised to do refunds. After waiting fifteen minutes for a manager to turn up I left. And will not be back. I spend about £150: pound a week in Morrisons, but I think I'll give Tesco a go.

Fantastic range of produce and products

Very friendly staff and I.got all I needed. Great service.

Fast friendly service. I had a massive jacket potato with tuna and side salad, very nice too. Kids had sausage and mash, no complaints from them either.

Don't like the changes in store or that they've doubled the self serve tills and reduced the staffed tills.

Very nice place to buy groceries and they have cafe and dry cleaning too inside the store

West Denton Morrisons is much better than Two Ball Lonnen No empty shelves, more choice tills staffed.

The store is big and they have everything you would need. Lots of free parking for disabled passengers and parents with children. Good price

It was my regular store for my shopping, not now!! Place is so unorganised, half empty shelves, lack of vegetables, empty/broken freezers....the list could go on. Now shop elsewhere

Won't be shopping in store anymore! The removal of check outs is just disgusting less hours for staff/loss of Jobs for people trying to find work! The ques at Christmas time will be horrendous and waiting times twice as long. Fed up everytime I come into the store the isles are changed over constantly its just a headache shopping in store. I feel sorry for the staff lack of care and consideration from management.

This is a huge Morrisons. Almost everything you need here grocery wise. Update: Local kids football team there to help pack the bags to raise funds. Was a great help.

If I could give minus 10 it would be too high, security guard thinks he's in the SAS following me every time I go in when I ask why he follows me he gets in my face and too close I can smell his breath, saying it's his store swore at me under his breath, he fails to intimidate me but tries his best 😄 Some of the staff are too busy chatting to help you or verify an over 18 product Very poor

Lovely place, great variety and value

This has to be one of the worst breakfast in a morrisons cafe in North Road Darlington. The breakfast was under cooked cups dirty . Staff miserable. All security were sat in prime areas eating and drinking and getting served before cuatomers. This is the second time as we 0ut our first down to just a bad day . The cafe is dirty and the cups are stained . Avoid avoid avoid

A nice supermarket with an ample amount of parking space. It's a bit expensive and the offers are not that great. They have a salad bar with quite good options. For the daily and grocery I would prefer Aldi over Morrisons.

Morrisons seem to have lost their way in a competitive marketplace. As a family firm they were much better

the salad bar is usually dead nice and i go for the same thing everytime but half the time it’s not there and puts you off as the staff behind it making pizza are so miserable, rude and don’t want too help

The West Denton Morrisons is nicer, easier to park and less busy than its Blaydon counterpart. I've noticed the prices rise more than other supermarkets but we get a friends and family discount, so it's sometimes worth it. Better fruit and veg than Asda, I find. They also have the best KFC style hot wings. We prefer them to the real thing.

I prefer their salad bowls to other supermarkets, nice choice of different types of salads.

Cafe has some nice food on offer. Plenty seats. Mini fish n chips under £6 and very nice.

Clean toilets. Cafe with the best carrot cake ever. Ample parking. Cash point. All that a large supermarket has to offer.

No good deals in this store today

Visited today with an elderly disabled neighbour and the lad on trolley duty couldn’t have been more pleasant and helpful. Took time to search for the store’s one wheelchair-compatible trolley, then when it was in use, introduced us to one of the electric buggy’s, helped my neighbour into it, explained how it worked and safely stored her own wheelchair for collection afterwards.

shambles no trolleys no baskets wandering around to find something to put your goods in ,then the Gestapo security who let the real shop lifters leave and because your struggling to carry your good as there are no baskets are confronted on the isle and asked if your paying for them goods like give me a chance to actually try to leave first or see that I will be paying . what a couple of plonkers

Everything all over the place no sort of method to the shop lay out? Getting worse not better, gave up looking g for what I had wanted and shopped elsewhere

Security in this place is an absolute joke we aren't all theifs and to be stared at in the aisles be it a cleaning ailse or alcohol aisle not even discreet just standing there point blank staring at us it's rude uncomfortable and harassment I wont go shopping here anymore because of this

This cafe has went downhill badly in past year. Understaffed having to sit at tables with dirty crockery from previous customers. Orders arriving late if at all. Don’t blame staff but whoever is organising the running of this place. Can see staff overwhelmed at times due to having to cope with too much. Came here yesterday did some shopping I know security have to do there jobs but I went in to the cleaning Isle to buy some kitchen cleaning items the security the old man stood at top of Isle and watched me look and staring at me I've never felt so uncomfortable I paid for my shopping left I will never ho back to here again very intimidated I felt it was awfully weird something needs done you should feel safe and comfortable when shopping I'm a woman was on my own

Having turned up at Morrisons cafe hungrily dreaming of a roast chicken dinner and to be told unhurriedly member of staff!! We don't have that on our menu, then i asked for Quiche salad chips and sat at my table 20 mins to be informed we don't have that either, so what do you have?? As the cogs moved slow she said breakfasts cooked chicken Tikka, ah said chicken Tikka then and it turns up ten minutes later out of a packet me thinks and the plate was bigger than what was on offer, and me wishing i had went to Blossoms up the road and nearly a tennen for the tikka and small drink Morrisons gets 2 out of ten stars because all above ain't value for money at all

Rather expensive compared to othe Supermarkets and would think that rather than pay these prices I would go to Waitroses or M & S. Lot of things not on shelves and distinct lack of Staff.

Nice superstore pleasant staff and easy to get too in your car

Worst supermarket in the area! Shelves are always empty. You always have to do a double shop due to the lack of stock. No beefsteak tomatoes, single red onions. Complain to the rare shop floor appearance managers who say the computer orders the stock. Shocking!
