2nd time we've been here, first time wasn't great, bit ill always give a place a 2nd chance disappointing experience again. I'm guessing the chef is not the owner?

Do not worry about the outside view, inside is a great welcome by the young lady behind the bar, after ordering drinks we were seated at a window seat the menu offers two choices the general and one for the two course special for Wednesday and Thursday, when the food arrived the portions were very generous and were delicious. the desserts were also generous and delicious. I would definitely recommend the five bells for food at a reasonable price

We found this pub, as we were holidaying in the area, and it was a Thursday Burger and Pint night. Massive portions and cooked beautifully. The salad dressing was to die for and I wish I had asked for the details. So if the chef is reading this please let me know. Uninsured25@hotmail.com

We went for Sunday roast, we had a table for 6 including my 2.5 year old daughter, firstly I was elated to be told that children eat for £1. Usually she would share some of mine, however she had her own mini plate and throughly enjoyed it. You get the feeling that there is a pleasant family ethos amongst the staff and owners. Our food arrived a large plate with plenty of meat, followed by large bowls of seasonal veg (even Brussels Spouts), then large bowls or roasties and then without asking 2 gravy boats. Portion sizes were big and we all felt well fed. The gravy was extremely tasty and not too salty, no Bisto in this restaurant! The Roasties were exceptionally well cooked. Overall we all highly rated the food and experience. We loved the Christmas decor. Strongly recommend!

Took advantage of the ‘burger and a pint’ deal tonight (Thursday). Very impressed. Lovely quality burger in a brioche bun with chunky chips and salad. I’ll be back!

This local has changed! Now clean and welcoming with pleasant staff. They offer a simple but interesting lunch time menu still at pub prices. The food is well cooked, presented & served with care. Well worth a visit and wish the new owners the best of luck.

Lovely atmosphere, excellent roast dinner and all the trimmings. Staff friendly. Allow time to wait for dinner as everything is made to order. My 18 month old grandaughter was made very welcome and the high chair was comfortable... and clean!

We were welcomed with a smile by the staff, a roaring open fire and fine selection of beers. The Sunday Roast was as good as you'll find anywhere, a choice of beautifully cooked meats, homemade Yorkshire's and Roasties and a large selection of vegetables. If you can get in (book ahead) you won't be dissapointed. Superb!!!

My local pub. Its got a great Jukebox, John the landlord who has a sense of humour and it sells beer. What more do you need??? Keep these Great British traditions alive, drink in your local.

This family run village pub is a secret gem in the heart of the Fens. Just off the A1101 between Wisbech and Long Sutton in the village of Tydd St Mary. It is a traditional hub of the community with a number of sports teams affiliated to it and supported by it. The Pub does meals through the week, but the jewel in the crown is the Sunday lunches!A choice of 3 roast meats, loads of veg and gravy, perfectly cooked by John the landlord, giving his snazzy chequered chef’s trousers a weekly outing!! A dessert board is available with plenty of choice of traditional and modern deserts and puddings. The two courses are excellent value for money (under £12 a head), I have never left there hungry!! John always has at least one real ale on, usually a local beer (often the excellent and very local Tydd Steam Brewery) to compliment this great value, tasty and hearty Sunday lunch. We have sampled the Sunday lunches a great number of times and have never been disappointed. I would ring to book a table either in the bar by the open fire (in winter) or in the quieter restaurant. I have no hesitation in recommending this Pub - particularly for a Sunday lunch - as it is one of the best and best value in the area ... and we’ve tried a few!!

Just had an amazing Sunday roast at the five bells. Snowing and cold outside, inside was a blazing fire and great hospitality. Cannot praise food eough. All freshly cooked, not frozen and heated through also very reasonably priced with more than enough to fill even the biggest eater. Bar service was great, greeted cheerfully and couldn't be more helpful. Highly recommend for both food and ambience

Wonderful coffee shop and restaurant. It is always clean and friendly atmosphere, with lovely coffee and tea. The cakes are yummy and soft - everyone should try the carrot cake (gluten free too!) The coffee is strong but smooth but you can ask for it weaker if you like. Not at all like a ‘charity’ shop of coffee shop - somewhere nice to visit

I was introduced to Pacey's when I moved here by a friend who's a Spalding native. Since then, it's become a regular meeting place for us and we always look forward to the announcement of each week's cheesecake flavour! Can't speak highly enough of the quality of the baking and friendliness of the staff - you really get the sense here that it's not just a café, but a real cornerstone of the community.
