Great local fish and chip shop that also has a variety of kebabs and burgers, always freshly cooked to order, highly recommended.

Unfortunately the delivery was late, I called Fish Station who said the delay was due to being busy. After 45 mins after the stated time the food was delivered, “Luke Warm”! After a couple of years using Fish Station the portions were smaller and cold.

We were on the hunt for fish and chips. This place was recommended to us by locals. Fresh delicious fish and chips was what we got. As good as it gets. The place is small and not fancy, just good honest food.

This is a small fish and chip shop that was recommended to us. We went today. The staff is friendly, and the food is great. They cook the fish fresh when you arrive so about a 10 minute wait. Worth it. There are a few tables inside. If you are in the area give it a go.

The pea fritters wasn’t cooked enough, chips were cold and crispy, the curry sauce and sausages were fine, used to love having chips from here not sure I’ll be eating from here again

Love this place. Having moved from London where did been for over 2 decades and having worked for and eaten at many very fine establishments around the world, you still can’t take the good old fashioned down to earth hearty great value meal with a smile out of me. Found this place, by accident, with my daughter and now we pop in from time to time and sometimes drive a fair distance to savour their kebabs, chips and great service. We usually have a large chicken shish but lately I’ve been devouring the lamb doner as well. The portions are always large, always fast service and at the end of the day it’s just a fun place with a variety of locals dipping in, overhearing stories. A diamond amidst East Street. Oh and the chips and sausage in batter always great. I’ve yet to try the fish. Will do one day. Keep up the great work.

We were in Southampton for a few hours (from cruise ship) and were in the mood for fish and chips. We researched quickly and found good reviews on this place, and discovered it was nearby so we gave it a try. I had small cod and chips and husband had large (but said afterwards small would have been fine). Fish was delicious, chips seemed homemade and the gentleman behind the counter was friendly and helpful. He does cook to order so it’s fresh! Highly recommend!

I ordered at 1840 and it arrived at 2025. Food was cold and not particularly appetising. On calling the restaurant they said they were busy which is why it was late.

Its our first time ordering online from The Fish Station. We have eaten in the restaurant before and it has been fine. This was a bit of a disaster. The order took a while to be approved. Our delivery time then changed to a later time, my meal had salad on top of the kebab, even though I requested no salad! I cant bear cucumber & tomato near my food. The delivery driver called me to say my food was here so I asked him to press the buzzer. He was at the wrong block of flats pressing the wrong buzzer. He eventually found us but the food was tepid by then. So, unfortunately, will not be ordering again. Extremely disappointed and would expect some sort of reefund.

It's really tasty food. A wide variety is offered. The fish and chips were very tasty. They cook it fresh so it won't be Luke warm like some other shops. Unfortunately, they don't accept card, so you'll have to use the cash machine further up the road. Little parking is nearby, but that is expected due to the location.

For us, fish and chips are a must in England. Found everything we needed here. Very good quality, super friendly service. No card payment was possible which surprised us, but we were able to pay in euros and got coins back in euros 👍. Everything perfect.

Amazing food overall however the chicken Doner was something else. Came here after a trip to Paultons and they have a great variety on the menu. It’s cosy and the service by the staff was exceptional. Highly recommended halal chippy.

The Fish Station is the best fish and chip place in Southampton. My partner usually gets the cod and chips while I get the chicken burger. The quality of the food is consistently great, as are the portion sizes. It’s also competitively priced. But do be aware that this is a cash only establishment! The owners/staff are always incredibly warm and welcoming. My partner and I love it here and look forward to coming back many more times. Thank you so much!! Keep doing what you’re doing!

This is my third time coming here with the family and the food is still brilliant. The fish is fresh, the batter is superb, being light and even and the chips are evenly cooked, soft and fluffy on the inside. We had Haddock and Plaice this time, both were delicious 😋😋😋

I was welcomed with a massive smile when I arrived after a busy week of work that made me instantly feel relaxed. The restaurant is clean and I didn't have to wait long. The fish and chips were the best I've tasted for a long time. Not a bad price either. All staff were friendly and wished me a good evening.

A fish & chip snack as you wish. The food was delicious, the staff are very friendly and accommodating and we felt very comfortable here. The prices are also completely reasonable for the large portions - we had one portion as a snack, which we shared. I can only recommend anyone who is in the area to come here. Thank you!

First time in Southampton and leaving on Sunday. Stopped in for a lamb donar and was not disappointed. Friendly staff, delicious food, and large portions. Great value for money. I will be going back for the fish and chips tomorrow.

The food was delivered by a man who after buzzing my flat appeared to be unable to open the main door and ascend the stairs to deliver my food! Therefore I collected it from him outside. I have had food delivered from The Fish Station for some considerable time.

Got myself a donner meal with a can for £8.10, which is a bargain in my eyes, especially considering how much food they gave me. The box was filled with chips and then filled again with kebab meat. With the box being full at this point, I thought maybe it was no room for salad yet they still managed to fill the box even further with copious amounts of green. Quick service with a smile on their face, cheap prices, large quantities of food, which tasted delicious. What more can you ask for?

Taste is very authentic n I visit here atleast once a month with my husband and daughter. Love everything about the shop.

Staying in Southampton city centre Travelodge overnight, we needed some food. The fish station flashed up as being really close by. Trotted round there and ordered a large cid n chips. It was cooked fresh to our order. Huge piece of cod, crisp golden batter and a generous portion of chips. Also well cooked . I definitely recommend this place to you if your in Southampton city centre.

Food was cold. Took 20 minutes from saying courier on the way to door. And I live less than 5mins away!

Tried the fish and chips as this was the only place open on a Sunday night. The cod was average and so too the chips. The really disappointing thing was the gravy. Basically just an oxo cube in water. Very watery and not at all what you would expect from chip shop gravy.

Food arrived hot and on time. The batter on the fish could have been crispier but I think it probably softened a little from steam during delivery. The cod was fresh, tasty and well cooked and the large chips were plenty for 2 hungry adults. The curry sauce was really tasty and had a lovely little kick to it. Good value for money, especially with the Cheeky Tuesday discount.

One of the best fish and chips i’ve had in england

Came across this little gem of a chippy off the High Street. Extremely clean. Staff lovely and very helpful. Portions large. Waited a bit but everything was fresh and delicious. Staff cleaned the tables and chairs with disinfectant after customers left. Would definitely use it again and highly recommend it.
