We booked a table at the Fire Engine after seeing pictures of their food online. On arriving we bought a drink and settled down to peruse the menu, only to find that the only food on offer was either pizza or burger. We hadn’t expected or wanted to be eating either of those things for our dinner but ordered a couple of pizzas anyway. They were very uninspiring and bland and the prawn and garlic one had no garlic whatsoever and was piled high with undressed rocket. When I commented to staff that there was no garlic on the pizza as described they couldn’t care less ! We visited this pub under false pretences as the menus on their website bore no resemblance to what was on offer.

Disappointing meal.Lovely pub and decor , great beer but food was poor. Prawn salad was pack of prawns on top of a bag of rocket and some canned peppers, most of it was left. Daughter had kids chicken and chips which were poor quality frozen breaded chicken.. I had the teriaki chicken .. same breaded chicken from kids meal and some suprise dry chicken wings.. The pizza was ok but no nduja.. Its a shame as we had high hopes after an amazing meal in the Godolphin earlier in the week.

1x pint of BIRRA MORETTI and 1x pint of Rattler Total = £13.25 Nice feel/look about the pub. Comfy relaxing seats. Was shut at 10:30 (Friday night) as we were the only ones in so can't report on any vibe about the place. I'm a tight northerner so wasn't expecting these prices. But it is what it is.

We were staying in Marazion for a week, we eat here 5 out of 6 nights we loved it so much! We'd recommend the chicken goujons, pizzas and half chicken the most! They also do the most amazing chips, like a crinkle cut chip and a wedge combined! The staff are all so, so friendly and ensure that everyone feels welcome. The garden out the back has the most breath taking views of St Michael's Mount, so if you can the chance I would take a seat outside.

We stayed on Marazion for a week, self catering, so looked to do a couple of meals out. There is the hotel, Cutty Sark and a pub in the centre. This place is up the road by about 5 mins in the car but was easy walking distance for us. We had read alot of positive reviews and our experience was the same. We were here in the 1st week of September and we booked, good job. You can dine inside or outside with fantastic view of St. Michael's If you want the view ask at booking stage I would suggest. The food was great, good range of beer on tap and wines too. Its notfine dining but its not processed either. Good value for money, would recommend.

Yes the Fire Engine is on Fire. With good well presented Pub Grub. That's not to say that there are additional dishes on the menu you don't usually find, that are nice and interesting. The best part is the service provided, an all girl team whilst we were there who couldn't have been more switched on and delivered service with a capital S.there was nothing not to like so it makes refreshing change to write a review without a moan. One small bit of advice, you might sell more cocktails if you lost what ingredients go into each ons, the staff didn't really know and most cocktail menus lisy and the contents But if you want service, good food and good portions well presented call at the engine!

Pub situated on the outskirts of the town, great views from the beer garden, however beer prices extremely expensive £12-60 for 2 pints of ipa, we paid £2 cheaper for the same beer in a popular pub in polperro. Welcome was non existent and bar man was more interested in his friends at the bar.

Given we were a large party, we were asked to pre-order our food. Fair enough, but on arrival we saw the Specials, which looked a lot more appetising than the standard menu. Once we were sat down, we were then advised that the menu we were sent had out-of-date prices and we would be charged more for what we had ordered - not a great start and very off putting for the sake of a pound or so. We went on to order drinks, but these didn’t arrive until our starters were almost eaten. Cutlery for the main course was then left at the end of the table and we were asked to pass them down the table. One of the mains for our party was then cooked for another table by mistake, so was brought to our table at least 10 minutes before the other meals were ready. This was becoming absurd. Once the other mains arrived, one of the burgers failed to arrive and a meat-free burger was brought to the table as a meat burger and given to the wrong person. Replacement meals were reordered, but by the time they arrived, others were waiting to leave and, so these had to be boxed up. Inconsistent service, poor organisation, arguments at the bar and lots of noise made this a far from perfect meal. At least the views were stunning.

Located a little way uphll from the very centre of this large village the Fire Engine is a strange building on 3, possibly 4 levels, and a very quiet, well maintained beer garden, which has some very special views. Stunning views from beer garden. Drinks prices aren’t cheap. Two cokes and bottle rattler nearly £13. We just had drinks. The grub didn’t look too bad though. But the reason why we visited was just to have drinks and admire the views. Well worth it!

Superb food, as you would expect. Really friendly staff. We took our little spaniel with us and he was welcome in the courtyard area (which is mainly covered). The staff made a big fuss of the dog and brought him a big bowl of water.
