We booked a dinner through The Fork app as everywhere was booked out (due to the COVID restrictions being gradually lifted and all pubs overbooked), and happened to be the only customers that evening. The barman/host was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. We sat on the terrace with a gas burner/warmer and an umbrella to keep us warm and cosy. The surroundings are beautiful - overlooking a large open space with a stream down some steps. The food was very nice, we each had a different type of a burger. The portions were very generous and there were options to suit different tastes, including great vegan food. Although this was our first time here and mostly an accidental booking, we will definitely be returning soon!

We stayed in the Ellington hotel and the Fig restaurant is where we had our breakfast. We also had an evening meal during our stay. The food was excellent and good value for money although we thought the drinks were a bit pricey. The staff we spoke to were very friendly and helpful.

Was staying in the adjacent hotel and needed somewhere to have a quick dinner for one whilst on a work trip. After hanging around at the bar for about 15mins being ignored I was eventually shown to a table, before being ignored again for another 10-15mins. Walked out and went 5 mins up the road to the Cricketers which was lovely. Recommend you do the same.

Straightforward if unimaginative menu. Price a tad on the high side but overall not too bad. Food has improved oover the past few months but the coffee remains bitter and unpalatable. Yes, I know it comes out of the machine but that needs beans put into it. Please change the beans. Service without a smile. Toilets need better cleaning and would benefit from refurbishment.

Food was very good, furniture has seen better days! Setting is in a lovely position. Hotel guests can spend the evening in the Concorde club, which holds Jazz evenings, for a small fee. We didn’t take this up, as Jazz is not our thing!

We stayed at the Ellington Lodge, this restaurant forms part of the Lodge and the Concorde Club. Mixed Review - the evening meal we had was quite expensive, not a huge menu choice either. Again, like the Lodge rooms, the restaurant was very dark, dark furniture and in need of updating. Breakfast was better, good choice of buffet, toast, cereals, fruit, yogurt and/or full English which is made to order. We would not eat in the evening here again as you get better value elsewhere but we would have the breakfast.

We had booked a table for 6 people approximately 2 weeks ago for 7:30 pm, there was no record of our booking but staff quickly made up a table. Were asked for a drinks order and ordered 2 bottles of wine (1 white, 1 red) when the wine came it was 2 bottles of red, re-ordered the white but when that came, this was the wrong wine, we finally got our chosen selection. When asked for our food order we ordered 5 Starters and 6 main courses, only 4 Starters arrived and we enquired where the missing one was? Staff very apologetic but we had to wait about 5 minutes for it to arrive. The main courses arrived and were very good but we had to wait some time for our plates to be cleared but not a offered/asked if we would like a dessert. Finally we asked for the dessert menu and were told that the kitchen was closing in 3 minutes and we would have to be quick with our choices. We ordered 2 Creme Brûlée and a bowl of ice cream. The person who had ordered the ice cream was told that it must be 3 scoops, and the Creme Brûlée’s came 1 in a ramican (as expected) and 1 as a pastry tart with custard, very strange!! We ordered a jug of coffee for 5 but only just managed to pour 5 very small cups of lukewarm coffee. The Moldy Fig was quite busy but the service was extremely slow with inexperienced waiting staff. Perhaps some staff training with an emphasis on customer satisfaction would be of benefit to the level of service offered.

Went for a breakfast on a Sunday morning. Food (breakfast buffet) was ok, but the coffee was the worst I had drunk in a long time. Service was abysmal, asked for coffee, none arrived after 20 mins so asked again and it finally arrived. At the end of the meal asked for the bill which again hadn’t materialised after over 15 mins, went to the serving area to pay only to find that the card machine wasn’t working, after 3 failed attempts the waitress went off to find another machine which worked, hooray! The restaurant was far from full so no need for such long waits and poor service. Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t go back.

Over the years I have seen the Concorde Club grow from a School to a fantastic venu. We have been to Cabaret Shows but never the Fig. It is well designed for comfort eating. The food was fantastic well cooked and plentiful. We will definitely go again.

Booked afternoon tea. I phoned on the day to confirm booking and dietary requirements.Went to answerphone left my no. and message but no one returned my call. When we arrived were shown to a nice table overlooking the gardens. I mentioned to the waitress about the dietary requirements and she told us what the sandwiches were. One was egg mayonnaise which wasn't suitable. She asked the chef if he could do plain egg but he only had egg mayonnaise, so asked for cheese. The smoked salmon was brown at the edges, not very appertising. Had to ask for clean plates after eating the sandwiches. The selection of cakes and scones was very nice. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. As we couldn't eat all the cakes we asked for a doggy bag. They didn't have any boxes but could wrap them in tin foil. Much to my amusement the waitress bought me a roll of tin foil for me to wrap up the cakes!

An excellent fish pie for lunch at the Fig - very pleasant, attentive non-rushed service, We were lucky to have booked in advance, as the restaurant seemed to get busier as the lunch time went on..... I thoroughtly recommend The Fig at the Concorde for a luch, be it for business or a family occasion.

A lovely meal with a wonderful jazz trio for company. Food was good, service was a little slow, but not a problem as it was a romantic evening out.

This is a nice looking restaurant ...live music and nice staff. The food is pretty average though. Have had just as good from the local Harvester at half the price. won't be rushing back.

Eaten here twice now as no other options available. First time was in May 2022 and we were offered pizzas as there was no other food. We paid £15 each and watched the 'chef' open frozen Chicago town pizzas! We could not believe our eyes. Ate here last week as well as we were unable to find anywhere outside of the airport to eat and this time all that was on offer was sausage rolls and macaroni cheese at £15 for what I would consider to be a portion suitable for a 5 year old!

Order arrived phoned cause missing nann (my fault) reported poppadoms were stale, they denied. Then went on to have the worse ever so called curry! Everything tasted of burnt, which if there was any spice about it wouldn't have been as bad. Onion salad was just that one slice of chopped up onion for 2 quid! I would avoid like the plague. Unfortunately they won't be brave enough to allow this on through site!!

Amazing team. Came in just now with cash not thinking that it's card only. The gent who served me got a colleague and that colleague he grabbed paid for my pizza and I gave him the cash. What a legend I really appreciate your kindness.
