As my father said about this store, all I can add is how unenthusiastic they were and how when the lady came to serve my medium chocolate fudge frappe, she gave it to me and forgot to give the straw. They don't have the enthusiasm to what to be there, it seems, and focus on one task, which makes it slow.

The staff on at the time didnt seem to wanting to be there working. Poor selection and displays were very bare. And customer service skills are poor aswell. No smile, and when they game me my drink, it was there you go. Orderd a lg coconut latte and they used the same coffee twice. This is the second time or using the store and the same person serving only doing one drink at the time. I also work in a coffee shop and what would be good to get the que gone is to ask the next customer what they would like and this would be more efficante and help you reviews go up. Management of this store need to shake up there staff and to be there to see for there selves how bad its the store is looking

Dropped relations off for 9.15 flight, check in at 7am. Web site says Costa open at 4.30am, but was still closed off at 7am. Asked a lady who was putting cakes out on counter what time they open and she said "7.40 ish"

Airside. Cardboard cups only, a bit rubbish. The Cortado becomes a milky white. There's a reason tea tastes better out of a pot. The lady said it was because they were a take away. ??? Take away where? Surely people can have a choice? Dirty sticky wobbly tables (don't they have maintenance people who can go round and sort out the wobbles?). That spray they use just adds another layer of gunk. An old fashioned bucket of soapy water is required. Crumbs all over. Stained chairs. Understaffed. A waste of a very nice location. Catering is an important part of airport service and Southampton Airport management seem to have no way to - or no interest in - enforcing quality in the franchises they farm it out to. The airport website blathers on about sustainability but how do the mountains of disposable cups they generate every day fit in?

On the front they say its costa yet don't do costa card , was there at opening and the floor was not cleaned or mopped , the girl at the desk was polite however the "barista" then throws a shot of coffee in on top of the milk in a takeaway cup and I was presented with a cup of warm milk with almost no taste of coffee till the end, that is not a latte. I'm not saying draw me a spaceship on top but at least make it the right way around. I was told my toastie would take 15 mins ....after 2 I hear a screaming person shouting toastie at me as I was sitting 10m away....2 people at the counter in a quite airport they could have walked it over to me.

We were served by Lauren, who was working on her own. Despite the clear lack of support for her she remained bright & positive, serving us as quickly as she could, whilst also dealing with other more challenging customers & keeping her cool throughout. Great coffee & great service - Good job Lauren!

Very bad experience from start to finish, I was very pleased to see a costa in the airport as we had just returned from holiday and were flying home and I had missed having my coffee. Unfortunately it was the worst experience ever. Not only could I not scan my phone to receive my rewards but there were no plates for our sandwiches and toast but there were no trays either. The gentleman behind the counter had a WH Smith uniform on so not sure what was going on. However that was not the worst thing, a customer had a dog that was walking around the cafe while its dog cage was perched on the table. When she left the table was not even wiped down which I find disgraceful. Thankfully I don't need to visit this branch again.

Couldn't wait to full my flask airside today. Had the pleasure to be served by a very miserable and unfriendly member of the (franchise) Costa team here. Ordered drink, she repeated it back to me. Corrected her and she said she said that. Still gave me not what I had asked for! Took my drink and spoke to a much friendlier female colleague (English) and she popped inside and corrected my drink. She even smiled. That was easy..Why the foreign Lady couldn't smile, be friendly, be helpful or care i don't know. Several reviews mention miserable staff. It must be a "thing" here. If you don't like your job and hate customers, just leave. There are plenty of other people who would love a job!!

At the end of the day. Costa is costa and the drinks as far as im concerned did just the job warming me up. However the barristers were snappy and quick and when it was quiet were on their phone.

Tucked away in the corner of the airport by the Arrivals gate is a reasonably priced Costas. The staff were polite enough but obviously students without investment in the place. This doesn't mean they were unprofessional or impolite but they lacked the drive and hussle I have experienced with other chains. Service was adequate and the coffee presented in good time. The cafe area looked like it had been cared for and was cleaned & tidied when necessary. Coffee was Costa standard but I have to say the large cappuccino was larger than expected. Excellent, lost one star for mild sarcasm from the teller.

Horrible service. Approached the barista serving and ordered my drinks. Presented a Fajita Wrap which I've always had offered to be toasted, on this occasion the barista said nothing and I had to ask him to toast the wrap. Not a huge issue but general service standards were low here, customary for staff to offer toasting sandwiches, toasties & wraps. Wrap wasn't ready with our drinks, so the lady offered to bring it over to my table when it was ready. Sat down at the table with two lattes and a pot of tea. Lady hadn't given us a cup for the tea, had to return to the counter and ask for one. Sat back at table, the cup she had given me had lipstick marks on it, disgusting. Had to reappraoch the counter and ask for a 2nd cup. Then to top it all off, the lady shouts "Chicken Fajita Wrap" across the cafe to get me to come collect it, completely disregarding having offered to bring it to my table. Dissapointed, very poor service. Such an annoying visit, definately won't be back when I pass through this airport again.

Generally grubby. Lots of mess on floors & tables & staff with stained uniforms. Only serving coffee in takeaway cups despite china ones being on view. Unnecessary use of plastic. Barista did fill up my water bottle though.

Tables always have cups etc on them the staff maybe require some customer care training The till receipt machine has been printing part receipts for the last four weeks .. Great when you try claiming your expenses from the taxman.. Please address as you have a great spot at the airport

Why don't they ever give a VAT receipt when I ask for one? The receipt I received was barely legible and took some time to decipher. The food was sort-of OK, but the coffee weak.

Not the most impressive of Costas. The last time I used this one, the guy serving me didn't really listen to what I ordered and tried to charge me for a larger-sized drink than I had ordered. If you're after a cold drink and a snack instead of a coffee, it's better to use the W H Smiths opposite as it's faster and cheaper.

Im so irritated I'm writing this while sat with my coffee, as I have a few moments to spare. I'm not normally the ''review" type. The nonchalant man behind the till fingered my sandwich to see what it was to ring through the till without so much as saying hello to me, didn't even acknowledge I was there. He then walked away to toast it with the most abundantly lackadaisical and disinterested manner. When he returned he rang my other items through and while he did I asked for a Bonfire Spiced Cold Brew - a new item that is emblazoned all over the display. He said 'what', turned to a girl who was huddled behind him and then turned to me with a smile and said 'no cold brew'. No apology or even an attempt to explain why. I asked for a flat white instead, he had to verify three times that I meant a hot flat white. Why advertise something ALL over the menu board if it isn't available?! I was genuinely disappointed and then irritated by his manner. As I sit the item is still advertised all over the menu boards with no indication towards its unavailable status. I had to ask for my receipt, which was duly thrust at me, crumpled, without a word uttered. By this time my sandwich had been toasted and was placed on a tray in front of other customers waiting for hot drinks. Perfectly placed for them to cough and splutter over. By the time my flat white was ready and I struggled to my seat the toasty was freezing cold. In the meantime the gentleman behind me who had asked for his hot drink to be take away, very clearly, politely reminded the man behind the bar that he had asked for takeaway. He proceeded to snatch the spoon he had thrown onto a tray and threw it back where he had gotten it from. This man is absolutely in the wrong career. I've been to this Costa many times and always had diabolical service, as I think everyone else does. You can see it on the other customers faces. I would complain to the manager but all the staff look about 15 and not one of them looks like they want to be here, so I fear my complaint would fall on deaf ears. Incidentally - the poor young man who was operating the coffee machine on his own was perfectly polite and made me a smashing flat white - which is rare at Costa, it's usually just an ill-prepared latte. I will return to this Costa, simply because I fly through Southampton regularly and there isn't much else in offer. I won't hold my breath for anything more than hostile service. Really, really poor show.

I am at airport and my phone died. Ohh my God my ticket was saved in it. Ask so many people to charge my phone fir few minuts but no luck.. finaly girl on costa coffee saved me. Just like to say thank you to the asian girl on the counter for helping me. ( sorry dont know the name ) .

2 stars for the view and friendly staff.. Otherwise, their mochas are properly bad and their croissants are dry like if they forgot to add the main ingredient: butter!! (Thing that i think prêt understands) On the bright side, i tend to fly to France from there.. so, good croissants are not far anymore once you get there :-)

Enjoyed my visit as always and the seating area gives an amazing view of the airport around you. I sat at one of the high tables during my visit which had a great view however the seats were a little too far away from the table and they were fixed to the floor so i couldn't move in and that left me in a slightly uncomfortable seating position, leaning forward on the edge of my seat. I started to realise why these tables were empty on my arrival. Costa ...if you are reading this. Please fix this. Either move the chairs in a bit or simply don't fix them to the floor so I can enjoy the planes going past without feeling i could fall off my seat at any minute. Thank you :-)

Eaten here twice now as no other options available. First time was in May 2022 and we were offered pizzas as there was no other food. We paid £15 each and watched the 'chef' open frozen Chicago town pizzas! We could not believe our eyes. Ate here last week as well as we were unable to find anywhere outside of the airport to eat and this time all that was on offer was sausage rolls and macaroni cheese at £15 for what I would consider to be a portion suitable for a 5 year old!

Order arrived phoned cause missing nann (my fault) reported poppadoms were stale, they denied. Then went on to have the worse ever so called curry! Everything tasted of burnt, which if there was any spice about it wouldn't have been as bad. Onion salad was just that one slice of chopped up onion for 2 quid! I would avoid like the plague. Unfortunately they won't be brave enough to allow this on through site!!

The store management is so bad i would never recommend this outlet i ordered for collection it took them more than an hour to get my order correctly the staff has no clue what they are doing , nobody comes to the till they keep messing up my order and this is not the first time this has happened and neither the manager cares about this nor the staff even the area manger was at the store he is no good as well not able to manage anything Its just not this store I usually order from burgess road or avenue store they are even worse than this they could never get my order right like literally not even once i got fed up with this and i came all the way from there to get pizza from eastleigh so that i can get my order right and they are the same Better get the franchise sorted or the name dominos is taking a dip

Very sad to write its now on owner 3 and since the first sold it’s been down hill all the way. Ordered a large kebab and served one very small, over cooked kebab, that took 3 behind the counter 23 minutes to make. Such a shame as it used to be very good and the owners were proud of what the served, but not anymore. The chips were cooked perfectly but not very warm.
