A group of 8 of us were staying in the village for the weekend and we spent quite a bit of time in the Falcon. We discovered that it is under new management/ ownership and has only been open a few days. We were all impressed at the warm welcome we received, the cosy log fire, the lovely food and the reasonable prices. The staff could not do enough to please us. On the Friday evening we ate in the pub. There was enough choice on the menu to please everyone without being too vast. It was delicious On the Saturday they even cooked us some platters to take back to our holiday home next door. We were very impressed. The Sunday lunch was extremely tasty with good size portions followed by a delicious berry crumble. The pub/restaurant has a separate pool and darts room and a games area with cards and board games. The outside seating areas are spacious but with cosy booths for more privacy if needed. Luckily we only live 20 miles away so we will definitely be returning customers. We wish the new management team all the very best with a special mention for Tom who worked his socks off while we’re there!! Thanks for contributing to a lovely weekend.

Very warm welcoming pub and have had many a great night here recently watching local artists performing and now they have opened the kitchen and will be trying the food out soon. Wonderful gardens too so can’t wait for the weather to brighten up and get out in the fresh air and enjoy a good 🍺 x

Very expensive food considering the quality £24 for lamb course that was overcooked and dry £22 for chicken/prawn course, chicken also very overcooked and dry Lady serving was nice enough, but kept being snappy with colleague which was unprofessional Nice garden area, enjoyable place to sit in the sun

Came for Sunday lunch today. Not sure we'd go back though . Food was nice but very slow service between starters and main. And so cold in there that we kept our coats on. Shame as we were really looking forward to trying it. Perhaps a summer visit would be better and more choice on menu other than roasts. Maybe.......

Quiet after the lunch rush, only popped in for a quick half. Spacious, well-appointed restaurant pub. Entrances front and rear.

Ruddiest place I’ve ever been, do not visit!! Waited at the bar, bar staff looked at me and walked off….people walked in, obviously locals and she walked straight over and served. I walked away and left

A nice country pub with a good atmosphere and a fine selection of beers and a good menu of tasty food. The bar staff were friendly, helpful and attentive.
