Visited with friends. 2 items on the menu were unavailable and we were early ! Service was slow and unprofessional. Prices high and quality low. Would not return

I visited the Easy Fish Co with a friend. The restaurant is nice enough, low-key decor. Between us we had oysters, tiger prawns, mussels and salmon ramen. The food was delicious. Pricey, but worth it, we felt. HOWEVER, we were both ill with sickness and diarrhoea on the Sunday and Monday. Given that the restaurant was the only place we had in common, I'd say it's safe to say this is where we picked something up. I notified the restaurant and hadn't intended to post about it, but the restaurant hasn't even acknowledged my email, let alone apologised. I know these things happen but I would at least expect an acknowledgement.

Table booked for 7.30, Saturday night, small menu. When the waiter came to take our order, we were informed that 2 of the 4 main fish dishes on the menu were unavailable. This obviously is ridiculous as it is a fish restaurant. Attitude of the manager condescending to say the least.

Great fish dinner . Extremely fresh and melted in my mouth . The dessert was delicious too . Much better than San carlo .

Excellent food, great service and fantastic ambience! A true gem for Wilmslow and an absolute must visit restaurant

We visited last night, for the first time, with two other couples. The décor in the restaurant is simple and unpretentious, and we were warmly welcomed. So often you find you leave a restaurant with a feeling of disappointment at some aspect of the food or service... but not last night. From start to finish every aspect of food and service was flawless. The service was friendly, unhurried and attentive. It was also noticeably professional, with great attention to detail. No used or surplus items were left to clutter the table; all were unobtrusively removed. And before my seafood main arrived, a dish for shells, a warm finger bowl and a little pot of parmesan were arranged around me, together with the appropriate cutlery. Most of us started with 'First Bites' rather than full starters, and found these quite adequate. I had the Blanchbait (cleaned whitebait) which were excellent, as were my wife's smoked anchovies. For my main, I had the Seafood Pappardelle, which was one of the nicest dishes I have had for a long time...generously loaded with a variety of shellfish and with a rich and delicious sauce. My wife was equally happy with her Roast Salmon, and those who chose the Fish and Chips struggled to finish their generous portions of haddock. I then settled for a coffee, but those who managed a dessert were all impressed with the flavours and presentation. We left feeling very satisfied, agreeing that this is a restaurant which you could visit and relax...knowing that with both food and service you would be well looked after.

We arrived and ordered within 10mins and starters arrived quickly only to be told after we had finished that the market fish was No longer available (30 mins after ordering). How can a fishmongers restaurant run out of their dish of the day!! Substitute offered not on the menu. When it arrived it was swimming on butter which had to be mopped up with napkins. It was ridiculous the amount of butter used to cook this fish. Our other main was prawn and squid platter which when it arrived looked amazing. It came with cauliflower pakoras, on biting into them the liquid batter just ouzed out as they were under cooked and tasted awful. We were highly recommended to the easy fish restaurants, we won't be eating in Wilmslow again but will try Heaton Moor which we hear is the better of the two.

Excellent food, clearly great quality and fresh produce. All serviced very quickly (all 3 courses) and with very friendly staff too.

Went for dinner as a group of 6. This is our 4th visit, including with children in the past. Food is always outstanding, staff are friendly and efficient, the atmosphere is informal and relaxed. I've lived in Wilmslow for 7 years and this is definitely my favourite restaurant in Wilmslow or Alderley Edge.

Superb food. Return visit for me and even better than last time.. My friend was equally complimentary Amazing service and my favourite wine. Could not fault anything!

We have previously visited The Easy Fish and loved it. We visited again this month with friends and it did not disappoint. Everyone was pleased with their food! Keep it up!!

We went back to Easy Fish for the first time for over a year. If our starters were OK but not outstanding our main courses were absolutely spectacular. We had seabass and hake - both perfectly cooked and with tasty accompanying vegetables. Good service; quite expensive.

As usual top class service and food! Eating with 4 friends from Devon and Cleveleys. First time for them. There were 5 fish and chip dinners ordered and one mussels marienere.. I have a problem with my swallowing and can’t always finish a meal. I asked was it possible for me to have a child’s portion. The young waiter that served us didn’t have to ask anyone. No problem he said… I call that using his initiative! The portion was just right. Comments .from friends.. best fish and chips ever. I agree with that. Husbands Mussels, as always perfect. I think they should sell the liquid in tins it’s soo good. Very impressed with the young waiters. This was only their first or second shift. They worked like the dream team. I know that the lady in charge was thrilled with them. Thanks lads for looking after us so well. See you all soon.

We had a meal here tonight early doors. We had the First bites spiced cauliflower. Blanchbait. Beautiful Well cooked and delicious, both. The spiced cauliflower was so good, just spicy enough! For our mains my husband had potage of fish which looked amazing. It had salmon halibut and others in there in a sort of fish juice. So good. I chose the tempura prawn, squid and spiced cauliflower board with slaw , a delicious chutney and wasabi mayo. Just gorgeous! This is a very professional restaurant and the food was to die for. Highly recommended!
