Stoped for dinner hear while working nearby staff were great food was even better ..pizza was a 9 out of ten and got free chips what more could you ask for and great price 😉 👍

great chips portion sizes are very literal which is nice fish is generously sized and the batter is c r i s p y. Doner meat not fantastic tho

I travel nearly 10 miles just to come to this chip shop! Chips - amazing, food - amazing, staff - fantastic, price - amazing! Worth every bit of petrol money to get this! More so than my local chip shop!!

Order food weekly from here at work and It varies what you get, today I got nothing but money was taken anyway. This place needs to look at it's standards

Always pleasant visit. Staff very welcoming and friendly, whilst being professional. Food is always freshly cooked and piping hot, and always tastes amazing, which is always a bonus right?! Definitely recommend this place 👌

What a disappointment, always enjoyed the chips but decided to have something different a large doner and chips, wow not even a scoop of chips hidden under the tiny portion of doner, last time I will be going there, no decent places for a takeaway in Alsager anymore.

Good local chippy, sorry was a good local chippy but they've got some very rude and unprofessional staff working there now. I rang an order in, was told 10 minutes got there and the guy hadn't even bothered with it . He passed it over to a young girl who objected to me correcting her because they had the order wrong. She was extremely rude and the owner did nothing to sort it out even though he was near. Sorry won't be going again although I don't think they're bothered!!!

Probably the best fish n chip shop around for miles, I live in sandbach and we have 5,, chippys and yet I travel all the way to alsager it's that good, you get over kill amounts of chips,and the fish is not only bigger than anywhere locally but actually taste better and fresher...staff are great,the two brothers are top notch to chat too and the lady's always have a smile, this is how chip shops should be, the only down sides are prices are slightly higher than most in the area but you pay for the best as best doesn't come cheap, and one last negative and it's personal,they don't do rice? I like chips curry n rice lol ....other than this it's a 9/10...

No Welcome Called the other day and was made to feel uncomfortable. The two men were pleasant but the two girls never smiled, never said hello or goodbye. I felt I was stopping them talking to one another.

We had fish & chips 1st time in probably 2 years. Last time here was superb, this was exceedingly poor. Fish & chips - fish dry and tasteless. Chips - good and enjoyed. Had to discard the lot into the bin.

I live in this area and have used Lakeside many times I have not been for a while but decided to have a chippy tea, what disappointment I asked for 2 small fish in bread crumbs and a regular chips, I took the food home the standard has dropped dramaticly since it has moved further into the family, the next day I noticed on my bank statement that I had actually paid £17.70 for my food. I challenged the fish fryer next day and he said that was right what I paid, I think £17.70is over the top he would not move on this my response was that he has charged to much and I wouldn't use this chippy ever again . Not recommended to expensive

These lads certainly know how to turn the humble potato into great textured chips. Fish is good too, thanks! I wouldn't bother with the doner meat, it's cheap rubbish. Room for improvement there I guess. An easy 5 start from us, keep up the good work 🙂🥓

First time coming here, and wow what can I say, first off I had to wait for my fish to be cooked (this is a great thing) when it arrived after a friendly staff member gave it to me , I opened it up to find a decent size fish and a small portion of chips (what I had asked for), can see what the rave reviews are about now! It's been along time since I've had fish n chips and omg what I've just had from lakeside was beautiful. Tasted amazing and the portion sizes were huge. Cheers guys will deffo be back

I love this chippy, it's about as good as it gets and I've been going for as long as I can remember (if they were open in the 80's then for that long). Back when my grandparents were alive I use to go and get fish and chips for us all and then sit and talk to them around their kitchen table. Now we have moved up here I'm getting to do the same thing with my little family. Keep up the good work I love your fresh fish and chips and you have never once given bad service.

Just the worst, staff are clueless and unorganised. Just write down people's orders instead of asking them 600 times. I went for 3 meals, ordered 2 and the staff walked off. If anyone is wondering why there aren't many chippies around anymore, visit this place once and you'll have your answer

Friendly staff, couldn't complain about them but the food on the other hand.... I had fish and chips with salt and vinegar... the lass serving put that vinegar on I couldn't stop coughing in the van and my eyes were watering.

Mediterranean kebabs are our favourite from here. Lovely food and good prices. Our local at least twice a week.

Had the pleasure of going on Wednesday night. It’s always good but on Wednesday the food was fantastic. The batter on the fish was to die for and the chips and peas were top drawer!!!

Terrible customer service! No communication between the staff or the customer ! I certainly don't mind waiting but I was the only one stood at the counter when two other customers were served before me. Even if it was a case of them just popping out and coming back to add to there order I think acknowledging me would have been polite! Very strange atmosphere ! The person who is managing it all needs to speak to those serving. No apology at all for my wait or if there was a mix up. I am a very patient , polite person who always considers others so for me to write this review shows my strong feelings about what happened. As for the food, average! Go to Lincolnshire or the seaside and you will find better quality. The fish wasn't pure white and overcooked. won't be returning !

Had the best chips and that for eons! Used to do mega pizzas too, they might still do. They taste different but they were delicious and fresh. Anyway if they still do them they're a 5 if they don't subtract half a star

£17.50 for meat and potato pie chips peas and gravy x2 and a large chips very over priced chips was not cooked all the way threw and pies are crispy will not be returning.

the staff are very friendly . the food is amassing and you get a lot for for what you pay for

I love mushy peas from there but recently not enough sugar to cover the taste of bicarbonate of soda a shame would have got 5 stars ✨
