What an amazing place this is that we’ve never tried before! Really wish we had been sooner. The restaurant is a lovely relaxing area and the staff are super helpful and very friendly (especially Adele!). We will be coming back here many times in the future and I urge anyone to do the same. The food was of the highest quality! Thank you very much for a top experience, especially with it being Mother’s Day

Excellent service from Adele. Thank you for splitting the meal today on Mothers Day so my mum wasn’t over faced. Small thing but huge to us.

4 Generations of the family met for lunch Adele was absolutely superb in the way she managed our table shared in all the banter we had and really made us all feel very comfortable Adele is a real credit to your Team. Food was great empty plates all round with all complimenting how they had enjoyed themselves a definite return will be organised just a fantastic family time together made all the better how we were looked after by all the staff.

As always excellent service and value for money. Very enjoyable breakfast and Adele and Emma as always provided an excellent, friendly and professional service.

We have been here for works do's several times, and every time its been absolutely amazing. Today was no different. We had a table of 12 and turned up having not pre-ordered as it was a fairly last minute booking. We were looked after by Adele, Ben & Sheryl, who were superstars. The service was fantastic and all of the staff were so friendly and helpful. Such an amazing place, with brilliant staff. Can't wait to come back.

Called in here as a last resort for a Sunday lunch. Very nice and clean setup, was shown to a table very quickly. Lady came over to take a drinks order and introduced herself - a rare thing today. Another lady then came and took our meal order. We ordered 4 x roasts and extras - boy were the portions a great size, and well as one of the extra was pigs in blanket - which we all wanted I ordered 4, now bear in mind anywhere else you go you only get 1 x pig in blanket - not here we ended up with 5 each lol 😂 Very good value for food, nice and hot and the meat so tender (I had beef). Very friendly staff, came and checked everything was ok at an appropriate time. I could use my Blue Light Card as well so I got 10% off on the food element. Will certainly visit here again. Adele was one of our lovey ladies that served us.

Visited this venue for the umpteenth time. Unfortunately it wasn’t our best visit. We arrived to be told we had been allocated a table in the restaurant even though the booking was with a dog. Thankfully there was one table left in the bar area. The table was very sticky. This may have been the cleaner they use. We had to hit the menu/condiment holder to loosen it. During this process one of our drinks was spilt straight into my wife’s lap, no offer to top it up. I asked for it to be topped up, then asked well how much had I drunk out of it. The staff’s response was the tables are always sticky, no apology. We ordered food which when it arrived was upto the usual standard. However when we tried ordering puddings, we were told that they were not taking any food orders for about 30 minutes. Excuse me, fresh orders I understand but when you have already had other course surely you prioritise existing diners. Usually we have no issues dining here but this time it was far below the normal standards.

Excellent roast, the best I've had in a while. Huge portions, struggled to finish Fabulous service from Adele too. The burgers looked amazing aswell. We will be back again 😁

My Dad and I visited on Sunday. My Dad had the large Fish and Chips which he really enjoyed. I had the Lasagne, that was lovely. All nice and hot. Adele served us, we always enjoy seeing Adele. She's really helpful and nice.

I went for dinner with my family and ordered three carvery’s. The food was delicious! And the staff (in particular Adele & Debbie) were absolutely brilliant. Lovely, genuine people with a sense of humour that made our evening. 5*

Went in on the off chance as really wanted a roast dinner. Food was AMAZING By far the best pub Roast Dinner in the area. Adele who served us was fab!!

Highly recommend the food here, we went in for a spot of lunch and was met with huge smiles from the staff with a nice warm friendly feel. The pub was very clean and loved the decor. Big up to Adele who couldn't have done any more for us and made us feel at home from the off. We went for the sunday roast and so please we did. Great food, the yorkshire puddings were homemade and amazing. The full menu sounded lovely and the food we saw coming out looked as good as the roast that we consumed. Keep up the great work - and big thanks to Adele the chief and the team that work here :-)

We had a fantastic experience when we visited for a dinner with 2 of our party with disabilities and different food requirements. They couldn't do enough to help straight away from getting our table raised to accommodate one of the wheelchairs to doing one of the meals pureed but still nicely presented to still make it a nice meal to accept. The food was lovely. The 2 servers that were on Adele and Debbie were fantastic and spoke to all the people in our party which is a small thing but means the world to some people We will definitely return and highly recommend.

Paid a visit to the Duke of Gloucester this evening for some food and drinks. We received a lovely warm welcome from Adele and were the seated next to the fire which was very cosy. A beautiful starter, followed by a lovely main and pudding....

Called in after shopping at the big aldi across the road. Pros, good spacious car park, warm inside, food hot and reasonable prices. Cons. Had a flat pint which was replaced, had to wait a long time for the food and the urinals stunk and...

We went on spec booked a table online an hour beforehand. Was made to feel welcome immediately. Food was great served hot with a short waiting time. Our waitress Adele was excellent throughout our visit with nothing being any trouble would highly recommend this place.

Been here a few times with my partner just for the Sunday roast. Partner is lactose intolerant but is fine with the mash and Yorkshire pudding. This is a fabulous place. We needed to book last minute a table for 12 and Adele was fantastic and incredibly accommodating. The welcome was warm and friendly from the staff and the locals and we immediately felt at home. The food was all top notch and nothing was to much trouble. I came here twice with a family member as we were briefly staying in the area. Adele in particular was efficient and attentive and the atmosphere was good. The food was enjoyable and affordably priced.

Didn’t regret going to this place one bit. We really enjoyed the cheese pie and the steak we had. The steak was well made and everything was flavourful. But what was most memorable for us was the service. Our server, Adele, made our day. She was very helpful and was overall a delight to be around.
