Food was cold but edible. Bradley was a breath of fresh air. Service at tills was very good and polite.

Bradley at the bar was brilliant. Very welcoming and quick with drinks. Staff in general were great and food was amazing.

Lovely place to go for a reasonably priced dinner. Dog friendly too, which is a bonus. All of the staff are lovely, although a special shout out to Bradley, who is very professional and friendly. Carvery is always very pleasant with lots of choice. Could have been a bit warmer today (hence 4 stars) but I suspect that’s because we came towards the end of the time that it was being served. Many thanks to the Dragonfly!

No table service, cold vegetables

Food was OK but had parts missing which was rectified, no one checked on how the meal was , no longer table service, very disappointed as used to be such great service, feels like an expensive spoons now, unlikely to return.

It has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and the food is really lovely, lots of choice and a good selection of drinks. The staff are cheerful and helpful. Absolutely love their apple pie and custard.

Had a very good evening at the Dragonfly, the food was lovely and the service was even better, Vida is very helpful and friendly, she makes the dragonfly comfortable and talks to the customers as if they were friends whether it’s your first time or whether you are a local. Much better atmosphere in there! Food came out quick, all hot, all tasty. Good place to take the kids with the park and garden area. Louise was very helpful and caring with everything and Brad at the bar was brilliant with his service. Really nice place to go to!

I came into the restaurant on Sunday with no reservation as it was an impromptu decision by the family.Even though they were busy, given it was a Sunday and their carveries are popular, we were very welcomed and they managed to accommodate and find a table.Gordon, the manager was absolutely amazing and gave a lovely service to us.

Came here after a hospital appointment. Was greeted by (I assume) the manager George. A very nice young man with a friendly disposition. He sat me at my table and explained how the order process worked. At this site, you order at the bar so was served by (the VERY handsome) Josh. Very smiley and looked comfortable behind the bar. Not many people eating but a few drinkers to be kept busy with. George did a check back with me to see how my food was. The only negative about this experience was how we were sat to eat. I say we as I was a diner on my own (I sat on table 41) another couple came in and was advised to sit on 42...the table right next to mine! There were at least another tables that could have been chosen away from where I was sitting. As I said, I had just had a hospital appointment so was hoping to get some food and make a few personal phomecalls about my diagnosis but felt unable to do so as -if I could hear the neighbouring tables conversation- they can hear mine. Unfortunately for me, I will be making further trips back to Basingstoke,but the dragonfly will be my go to place whilst there. Thanks again to George and Josh, oh, and gaby who asked me to mention her. Sammy winder.

We usually go on Sunday for the carvery but decided to go on Saturday to take advantage of the sandwich deal. I had the Piri Piri chicken baguette which was very nice. Tasty chicken strips in Piri Piri sauce covered in melted cheese. It was nice and hot, served with hot crispy chips. My wife had the haloumi baguette which was also very nice. Both excellent value for just under Ten pounds each. My mother in law isn't a big eater. So she had the children's fish finger, chips and beans. The fish fingers were freshly cooked, crispy and hot. It was more than enough for her. Our server was Jess. Who was polite and attentive. Thank you to all who made our lunchtime dining experience and pleasant one.

Good food at an affordable price

Lots of items unavailable from the menu. The food we ordered was very nice and served quickly. Originally booked to test a carvery, have yet to try it. Advice would be to book early in the day.

The service was excellent. The food was perfect. Everyone was so welcoming it was a great atmosphere. Plus Brad the barman has excellent customer service. I will certainly go again. Glad they take the Blue Light card again

Food was fresh and delicious and well priced for the portion size. Good value for money.

Came today for a lunch with my daughter, not been there for a few years now so thought we would try it. We ordered at the bar which was great lovely lady on bar smiles and welcoming and the young man who showed us to our table. Sadly that’s where the positive review ends, the starter we ordered chicken stripsand popcorn chicken £5.99 - not worth it at all, 2 small strips and 5 popcorns in the most smallest dish. The hunters chicken had barely any bbq sauce on it, the Philly cheese steak roll came with about 10 chips. For an overall spend of £35 I was very disappointed sadly we won’t be visiting again.

We booked in for the carvery. There was a very small amount of meat left. My partner had the veggie option which was dry and tasteless. The tables were dirty, no utensils, very loud and the food was like warm and a very small portion of meat. No good value for money. Won’t be returning in the future unfortunately.

Restaurant was not too busy, service was excellent and staff very friendly. Filomena was a joy and jovial. Got a quick lesson in Itailan , there's no r in Larsana and the g is silent, it was very nice. 😁

The food was not great,Yorkshire was stone cold, stuffing was hard as a bullet , roast weren't crispy, the rest was ok, can't give * on service as u get yr own drinks and yr meal

The week day carvery is not very good. Had hard choice to make between the three overcooked dismal looking pieces of meat. Vegetables were ok.

Went for roast with family on Sunday welcomed as soon as we arrived and staff were brilliant young blond lad served us great customer service and friendly roast was exceptional totally recommend and great value for money pub was very clean and little park in front which my granddaughter loved

No chunky chips! Sat in the middle of football supporters and a loud tv. We had gone here to have a chat with my granddaughter, no such luck.

I have been coming here every weekend religiously for a while now with my family. The staff are always so welcoming and friendly especially the landlord, who delivers a very personable service. We tried a number of other local pubs before coming here and here is the only place we’ve found that has given us consistently high quality meals for a reasonable price.

We've always had great service and great food on every visit..yesterday was no different..all was brilliant very fast efficient service. With friendly faces .

Disappointed with our visit, my husband and I went for a meal on the weekend and sadly there was nothing impressive about it. They have a large food menu but despite that it seems they struggle to keep up the standard's of the items of the menu. We got starters and mains but there was something wrong with all of them. The chicken strips for starter had no flavour and were smothered in so much BBQ sauce it was more like a soup, the cheese bites were piping hot but for £6 you get 4 and they are just okay. The hotdog for main was so burnt it was like eating charcoal they put so much ketchup and mustard on it you don't realise until you take a bite - the chips weren't over cooked at least. The hunters chicken for main was a single chicken breast cooked so much that you can even cut it with a knife, it had one tiny strip of bacon laying on top and one small pinch of cheese then covered in the smallest amount of BBQ sauce known to man! The easiest dish a pub can make and they couldn't even get that right. The staff were friendly and there is a big car park they also have a play area for children and it does seem like dogs are welcome. But sadly we will not be returning and will not recommend it to others.

Food was poor! Me and my partner came in with the kids, both of us had hunters chicken, kids both had gammon, the chicken was over cooked and dry, for both me and the kids where over cooked and hard, its as if the chef has no interest in cooking, this is only the second time we have been here, and both times a disappointment regarding the food, the staff where amazing though

What could you want. Great food at reasonable prices. It’s hard to find a good roast dinner and the carvery certainly delivered on of the best we have had even on a busy Sunday bank holiday weekend. The staff were warm and welcoming which is nice to have these days as so many places have lost their attention to customer service. Would highly recommend a visit and we will be back. Thank you for making our Sunday dinner out with our kids so lovely

We went today for a late family lunch Veda the assistant manager was so nice! So helpful and friendly we absolutely loved our meal it was all absolutely perfect we will definitely be coming back!! Meals we had Starters: Chicken wings, mozzarella cheddar bites, chicken strips Mains: kids fish n chips (£1!) great portion size Adult cowboy burger and chips Ultimate chicken burger and chips Steak and ale pie chips and mushrooms Everything was delicious thank you Veda!!

Good food, but they should be allowing their customers to set up tabs when ordering food & drinks, as it meant multiple payments.

Never been before and was surprised at the great value. The carvery was fantastic. Honestly shocked I hadn't visited sooner as it was fantastic and I will be back soon!

The food is always nice with a great choice and the bar staff are always welcoming.

It was our first visits we were going to one of the retail stores across the road. First impressions were good, very clean inside and out. Staff were friendly. The menu was quite large, so there was a good selection of choices. The food itself was good. I had a burger and tasted homemade and the burger sauce was fantastic. My daughter chicken stripes and chips, nothing special but didn't expect it not to be. Will definitely come again if in the area
