Went for roast with family on Sunday welcomed as soon as we arrived and staff were brilliant young blond lad served us great customer service and friendly roast was exceptional totally recommend and great value for money pub was very clean and little park in front which my granddaughter loved

Amazing pub, lovely atmosphere and the staff are great especially the landlord!

No chunky chips! Sat in the middle of football supporters and a loud tv. We had gone here to have a chat with my granddaughter, no such luck.

I have been coming here every weekend religiously for a while now with my family. The staff are always so welcoming and friendly especially the landlord, who delivers a very personable service. We tried a number of other local pubs before coming here and here is the only place we’ve found that has given us consistently high quality meals for a reasonable price.

Great food, great price, great service

We've always had great service and great food on every visit..yesterday was no different..all was brilliant very fast efficient service. With friendly faces .

Disappointed with our visit, my husband and I went for a meal on the weekend and sadly there was nothing impressive about it. They have a large food menu but despite that it seems they struggle to keep up the standard's of the items of the menu. We got starters and mains but there was something wrong with all of them. The chicken strips for starter had no flavour and were smothered in so much BBQ sauce it was more like a soup, the cheese bites were piping hot but for £6 you get 4 and they are just okay. The hotdog for main was so burnt it was like eating charcoal they put so much ketchup and mustard on it you don't realise until you take a bite - the chips weren't over cooked at least. The hunters chicken for main was a single chicken breast cooked so much that you can even cut it with a knife, it had one tiny strip of bacon laying on top and one small pinch of cheese then covered in the smallest amount of BBQ sauce known to man! The easiest dish a pub can make and they couldn't even get that right. The staff were friendly and there is a big car park they also have a play area for children and it does seem like dogs are welcome. But sadly we will not be returning and will not recommend it to others.

Very friendly staff. Some interesting menu items. The discounts on mains and kids meals makes it more affordable. Tuesday Quiz Night is free to take part in and good fun.

Good pub with a nice beer garden

Food was cold at 12. Staff were told but all they said was temp.on the serving was OK. 4 people had cold meal. Never again

We went today for a late family lunch Veda the assistant manager was so nice! So helpful and friendly we absolutely loved our meal it was all absolutely perfect we will definitely be coming back!! Meals we had Starters: Chicken wings, mozzarella cheddar bites, chicken strips Mains: kids fish n chips (£1!) great portion size Adult cowboy burger and chips Ultimate chicken burger and chips Steak and ale pie chips and mushrooms Everything was delicious thank you Veda!!

Good food, but they should be allowing their customers to set up tabs when ordering food & drinks, as it meant multiple payments.

Never been before and was surprised at the great value. The carvery was fantastic. Honestly shocked I hadn't visited sooner as it was fantastic and I will be back soon!

It was our first visits we were going to one of the retail stores across the road. First impressions were good, very clean inside and out. Staff were friendly. The menu was quite large, so there was a good selection of choices. The food itself was good. I had a burger and tasted homemade and the burger sauce was fantastic. My daughter chicken stripes and chips, nothing special but didn't expect it not to be. Will definitely come again if in the area

I parked in a disabled bay, with my disabled daughter who has a disability badge. The lady who seats us, came to the door and asked in a very rude tone “have you got a badge for that, as we need those spaces for people who actually need it.” I responded that yes we do, it’s clearly visible on the windscreen. I was upset by her comment and said that not all disabilities are visible, and that she could have looked before being so judgmental. Will not return.

Absolute faultless lunch. Booked a table for 4 for Sunday carvery. Meat was juicy and not dry, Yorkshire pudding crispy on the top and fluffy on the bottom and the veg perfectly cooked. Was served by Gordon and his customer service was perfect. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning. Thank you for a great lunch

The booking was very easy and I was able to reserve my favourite table No 32. Service was freindly and efficient. All food arrived promptly - a nice fresh prawn cocktail followed by a perfectkly cooked stealk exactly as specified (true medium - nice and pink but no rare). I have taken visiting freinds here on quite a few occasions and will continue to do so.

Great straight forward family pub. Nice little play area for the kids. Good choice of food.

Came as part of the pack walk and I ordered a pint and a slice of cake. I really liked that I could order at the table so didn’t need to leave the dog. Lots of big bowls of water for the dogs too. I’ll definitely be back with the family

First time being here with the K9Control team , absolutely beautiful place to visit and chill out in the garden . Lost of big water bowls available for the dogs !!! Staff super friendly and the pub/toilets sparkling clean !

Lunchtime. Husband had hunters chicken baguette and chips, good value. I had tomato soup, tiny bowl (I'd say half a tin) with tiny piece of bread, not good value at all and starving afterwards. Soft drink each, over £18 was not a good value lunch.

It was very disappointing, no catering for non alcoholics, no wine only one flavour cider, told where to sit, not much lunch choice either. Not coming back for a long while.

Filomena was very welcoming upon our arrival, the food was great and arrived nice and hot and we didn’t need to wait long. The quiz was an added bonus, it was our first time. We had a really enjoyable night and will definitely be back.

I booked a table, it’s not busy tonight at all which is great. After 20minutes choosing what me and my child are having for dinner I go to order and I’m told it’s a half an hour wait for food at least meaning my child won’t be eating until quarter to 8. I’ve just walked out and will be going to the harvester instead. I encountered these same issues 4 years ago and i thought with a change of management these issues would be sorted. Obviously not. What a waste of my time even driving here 👎

Great pub, great food and amazing staff members

Me and my family really enjoyed our meals here. Everything appeared freshly cooked, not kept warm. I had fish and chips and the fish batter was nice and crispy confirming freshly prepared. We all had 2 courses with a round of drinks. I was able to get a pint of real ale too. Prices are very reasonable, service very good and the interior surroundings clean and fresh. We all highly recommend The Dragonfly.

Weathespoons menu but expensive pub prices. I just saw the food coming out and I knew I was having no part of it. And the price of a pint is theost expensive in Basingstoke £6:50 is shocking for the same price you could go bartons mill. A much nicer place and worth the money.

Got seated straight away. The dog was allowed in the pub. Food came out quick and was hot. The prices are decent, overall do recommend

Just popped in for a quick drink on a warm day. Managed to get a table outside, service good. Only gripe is that the app needed to order your drinks is a bit hit an miss

Totally Excellent! What a perfect place for everybody and it's literally got everything. Toilets are sometimes not looked after in some places..... But Not Here! Cleanest of the lot! If this is looked after, you can imagine how the rest of the place looks..... ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Wished we lived closer, as this would be our go to place. Service, food and atmosphere all scoring above five stars. Well done Dragonfly 👏👏👏

Cavery is fantastic value for money and very tasty. The team that run/work at ghe dragonfly are very hospitable. We arrived early and the manager found us a table straight away.

We had a lovely family meal here yesterday. There was something for everyone and we all enjoyed our meal. Our waitress was amazing, even finding a candle to put in the very excited birthday boy's fudge cake! Filomena, as ever, is the perfect host, including everyone and orchestrating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere throughout the whole pub.

I don’t do reviews often but this was my third visit here and the atmosphere and service was yet again first class. You are welcomed on arrival and staff are attentive and available when you need them. The food is excellent, the group I was in all had different meals and we all enjoyed what we chose. We drink real ales and they know what they are doing here which is not the case in most pubs these days. Go for a visit and try it yourself but I would book as it is always busy. Best place around

Wasn't happy with the meals they served up, both had the hotdogs, couldn't eat the hotdog rolls, think they had been around for some time and they put them in a microwave oven they were like concrete, the garlic bread came out like burnt toast surprised didn't break our teeth, the only thing that wasn't overdone was the fries, we did let a staff member know, we were offered a sweet, normally pleased with the dragon fly but this is the worst meal ☹️

Went today for the first time & it certainly won’t be the last! I went with my husband & friend for my birthday & it was great. The venue, service & food were all excellent.

I started coming here for the quiz with friends on Tuesday nights about 3 weeks ago. I’m not a fan of typical pub food but we’ve eaten here for the last 2 quiz nights , to make use of 2 x £40 vouchers we had won. I’ve only had the lasagne which was ok. The salad I asked for in lieu of fries/garlic bread was delicious & included quinoa & edamame beans. The service is good, the staff are friendly & helpful but the main attraction for us is Filomena’s quiz which she does brilliantly. There’s a great atmosphere & she makes it a such a fun evening.

The food was ok, good portion sizes, and well priced. Previous time i came here, dogs were only allowed in the beer garden area, but this restriction has since been reduced. However I find it strange that if dogs are allowed in the pub, that they are not allowed any bowls of water. We were told that if our dogs wanted a drink, they had to go outside. Ultimately any spilt water is not going to damage carpets, any dogs that come in, you would expect are fully house trained and dogs need hydration when they need it and this basic need shouldn’t be restricted. This is still an unnecessary partial restriction. When I went outside at the front of the pub, i saw no water bowls for my dog to drink from. Any other pub I have been to that allows dogs, provides water bowls and a water refill station in the pub. It’s a basic necessity and that requirement for water will increase when the summer hits. …. Well I can see the owner has replied to this review in what appears to be a sarcastic reply. Ultimately any pub that places any kind of limitation or restriction on a dog and its ability to have a drink indoors (basic need)… is not a dog friendly pub. Tarring all dogs with the brush that they may not be toilet trained and as such can’t be given water indoors just isn’t right. No thoughts to ask the dog owners when they ask for a bowl of water for their dog “is your dog fully house trained or not?” Then applying the rule only to dogs that are not house trained. For your information, your staff pointed out the front of your pub and said the water’s outside, no mention of the water being out the back. Won’t be coming back any time soon to this place and definitely won’t tolerate a sarcastic owner trying to have the last word!

My Daughter lives around the corner from the Dragonfly and we often drop in for a bite to eat when we're visiting her. It's very family friendly, has good traditional pub grub, and even keeps a drop of ale on tap! Prices are reasonable and the occasional offers make it highly recommended!

The service from the young gentleman wasn’t great. He never asked hiw I wanted my j2o served and automatically put ice in which I asked him to remove. I asked for an upgrade of cheesy chips but never got the cheese and he rolled his eyes at a colleague in front of us.
