Bizarre night being chucked out for closing the door. Pouring rain so our friend was being polite closing pub door. The bar man or manager not sure who, aggressively pushed him out shouting. We were gob smacked ! He obviously has issues and needs a new career, enter at you peril 😡

Got man handled by the staff for being courteous and closing the door. Thought it was a joke then realised it wasn’t. Will never return and I urge others to do the same . Totally unacceptable behaviour from childish thuggish bar staff !!

Simply love popping into The Dragon. Good beer and gorgeous courtyard to sit in the summer amongst the tubs of flowers and assorted bits of up cycling.

Friday 28th October and we came here for a pre and after dinner drink with friends. We arranged to meet here, it was a bit confusing as the main sign out the front shows Church End Brewery. Eventually we worked it was the same as the Dragon Inn. Although the bar was modern, clean and well maintained there was a step back in time feel to the place. It was welcoming and comfortable. We ordered our two drinks which came to £7.80, which was reasonable for the centre of town. The bar staff were pleasant and attentive. Went upstairs to use the bathroom and saw the seating seating area up there. It was furnished like a fifties style sitting room, all very proper and elegant there was even a small, singalong piano there. To be honest it really sumed up the essence of this place, an old fashioned boozer with class. We enjoyed it here so we came back after our meal.

Cozy traditional pub, lovely landlords, beautiful beer garden and a fab pint! I enjoy the Porter style beers….Stout Coffin was a fav. Church End Brewery creates tasty brews. When the weather is good, great live music in the beer garden! I am an American and was living in Worcester off and on for nearly 2 years. I felt so welcomed and a part of the Dragon family! My favorite pub in Worcester!

Great late summer venue and beers. However on my visit last night with 6 friends it appeared from the start our cards were marked. It was quite a raucous atmosphere due to the Warriors contingent being there, so our group would go relatively unnoticed. However the moment we sat a put a box of cigarettes on the table we were snapped at by the bar manager that we can’t smoke there. 1. Hadn’t even lite one 2. Wasn’t clear it was a non smoking area (stand to be corrected) innocent mistake, but I left boot camp a long time ago. No need to speak to me like a child I’d like to think I am 45 year old responsible adult After about 1 hour one of our party used the outside toilet, however he Diddnt latch the door and someone pushed it open reviling our friend. A moment of hilarity or so we thought. The “glass collector” shouted for him to shut door and did not see the funny side . Ok not ideal, but from what I saw no one took offence, we apologised and the only embarrassment was to my friend only We were planning to spend the remainder of the evening in the Dragon, however when went back to the bar I was refused service because of the above incident. I get a bar manger has the right to refuse service, but it was an innocent mistake, which we apologise for. We were not drunk and as above there plenty of other folks in there that were very Merry after an afternoons rugger. I am finding that post Covid hospitality and service in Worcester has been really sub standard, I would expect with what the area has been through there would some warm welcoming staff to support bring hospitality back to its feet. Not that probably makes much difference but the dragon missed out on a £100 last night and will now miss out moving forward as I won’t be going back.

First visit since lockdown ended and the move to tier 2. The Dragon has lost none of its charm. Great, hardworking staff , always a smile even though most likely having to work harder than usual. Covid precautions are spot on so you feel it’s a perfectly safe environment. Now has a lunchtime snack menu changing about 4.30 pm to an evening ,more substantial menu. We had chicken and chorizo stew with granary bread which was excellent and great value at £5. There are of course other options including a vegetarian one. The usual great beers and if you take your time eating you have plenty of time to down a few......or order more food of course!!!! A great garden with log fire often makes the pub busier outside than in . A very festive atmosphere at the moment. This has to be amongst the best pubs in Worcester!

Been to this pub many times now and tonight was no exception. Quality cask ales from the award-winning Church End Brewery and plenty of choice when it comes to guest ales and craft beers too. Plus you can’t go wrong treating yourself to one of their beers to wash down one of their locally-sourced pork pies too. (Fallen Angel being my favourite!) Plus the staff are always friendly and happy to help. If you’re ever in Worcester check it out - Worcestshire’s CAMRA pub of the year 2018. Definitely worth a visit and only a 2min walk from the Foregate St station too. Keep it up guys - I’ll definitely be back! :)

This is my favourite pub in Worcester. It's a traditional pub with a nice long bar, good variety of beers and friendly staff. There's no music - just the sound of good conversation. Nice outside area. I noticed a jar of dog biscuits on the bar so presumably you can take dogs but haven't tried.

Had a few drinks here with my husband. Lovely beer garden, decent ales for those who like that kind of thing and nice friendly staff. Slightly (only slightly - 5 mins walk tops) out of the way of the busy Saturday night chain pubs but definitely worth the small extra effort. Lively and popular without being annoying. Would definitely go back and would definitely recommend.

I’m not in Worcester often but when I am, I stop by without fail. The Dragon Inn offers a selection of locally brewed real ales which you can enjoy in the newly renovated beer garden. The outdoor fire place has kept the cockles warm in the evening more than once - if my beer jacket hasn’t already done the trick! Staff seem clued up on the beers and have a genuine interest in helping you make the right choice (with samples a plenty!) ‘Goats Milk’ brewed by Church End who own the premises is simply EXCELLENT

Cracking City Center Pub with glorious beer. Problem is the completely disinterested staff that can hardly be bothered to put their phones down or break conversation to serve you. Get some people, people behind the bar that don,t pull a pint like they are pumping the flood water out of the cellar out and this place will be top notch.

This is an older style pub which has had a makeover recently and has a wide range of real ale. Its compact, perfectly comfortable and staff are great. There is a partially enclosed outside area which has heating in the winter. A room upstairs has a very successful folk club operating every other Wednesday. This is a real beer lovers pub but the clientele are of all ages including many youngsters. The atmosphere is calm. The beer is top notch and I recommend the Goatsmilk, about 4% but packed with flavour. You can bring your own cold food to this pub.

We pop in every now and then when passing, for a pint of Church End brewery Goats Milk (or 2). No music (that I can remember), or TV, you can have a beer and a chat, and its got a good large covered smoking area out back. IF it looks busy down stairs, you can sit in the upstairs area, which feels like a living room! (unless the fiddlers are practising maybe). All you need :-)

Nicknamed ‘The Library’ by our friends and perfectly understandable once you step through the doors. Although fairly busy it was so quiet and desperately needed some background music. The bar staff weren’t particularly the most pleasant either but the best thing about this bar is the choice of Church End ales including my all time favourite ‘Goats Milk’. It would have been nice to try some of the other Church End ales but as we were on a mission to visit other pubs this would have to wait till next time when perhaps some music will be playing.

What's not to like about this newly refurbished pub. Close to the town centre (but not too close) makes this a nice quiet place while the rest of the town centre is manic, especially on the weekend. An excellent selection of mainly Church End Brewery ales and if the opportunity arises visit the nearby micro brewery. My wife used to call this an 'old man's pub', but not any more! Definately worth a visit.

Good old fashioned pub serving Church End real ales plus a number of guest ales. We visited four nights in a row whilst in Worcester for the county championship cricket match . Eight hand pumps of which three beers were changed during our visits indicating good quality ale being served. I fell in love with the goats milk ale whilst my friends had the fox , and the vicar. All really high quality . The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the ales on offer and encouraged taster samples before purchase . There is a nice outdoor seating area surrounded by lovely herb plants which give off wonderful aromas in the evening. Part of this area is undercover so can still be used in inclement weather and part is the outdoor smoking area. If you need a snack the pork pies and sausage rolls are very nice and everything is reasonably priced. A must if you're a real ale fan visiting Worcester

I visited with friends this week to try out The Dragon since it has been taken over by the Church End Brewery and completely refurbished. The interior is still fairly simple (it certainly can’t be accused of being fussy) and, more to the point, the beers are excellent. Bar staff were friendly too. Good to see some different beers – I think we tried Cuthberts, What The Fox's Hat and Goat’s Milk between us. As a local I’ll be back.
