I like this pub, right in the centre of town, great for sports, but also a place to just relax.

What's not to like, great venue, very well managed, fun, friendly, and clean, great drinks promo's. We had a fantabulous time 🙂

I’m not usually one to write reviews but it has been a couple of years since I’ve been in the Dolphin. I’d heard it is now under new management so, thought I would stop by with the Mrs on our way home for a cheeky drink. Walking through the door and the change in atmosphere is immediately apparent. Staff are smart and cheerful. Drinks are decently priced with some great deals. James served us, top bloke. Super friendly and courteous. I’ll be back again soon. New manager is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Definitely much better than a few months ago.

I don’t usually write reviews but just wanted to show our appreciation. First time visiting this pub on Monday with my partner and two kids. We walked in and was greeted by a member of staff called Charlotte, we ordered two vodka and cokes and then we were told about the £6 round which worked out a better deal then we previously suggested so saved money there! We were also told it was free pool on a Monday which my teenager kids were happy about I think it’s a good deal on a Monday, saves a couple pounds which helps. Average price for drinks and the pub is a little outdated so could do with an update but I would recommend visiting ( especially on a Monday for the pool!) friendly staff always helps! Hope to return soon.

Two pool tables and the drinks were reasonably priced. They had two different football matches on when I was in there and the atmosphere was good, not rowdy or loud.

Expensive, worst toilets in Littlehampton & very dodgy clientele.

Wanted to see the band tonight, but they wouldn't let us in saying it was at full capacity. I looked through the window and the place isn't even half full. What a joke of a place. Posted one star because I couldn't post no stars.

Beginning to attract more people now the previous Landlady has left. So, groups of men will NOT be barred like last time. Give it a go 3 for £6 on selected shot, bottles and shorts

The pub had only been open for a few weeks, big change from the last time I had been in there, as this was my local years ago, needs garden sorted but a nice place for a few drinks at good prices

Very average restaurant and quite expensive for pints. I came with a big group of my family and we were very disappointed in the customer service we were greeted with.

Nice pub antiques in pub love to spend some time

Good live bands, properly good.

Bartender was super polite and lovely but was ruined by awful presence of whom I can only assume was the owner/manager. Made us feel very unwelcome, and spoke to everyone in a way reminiscent of the media to Britney Spears circa early 2000s.

Great vibe to the place. Don't be fooled by the outside. The inside is welcoming and nicely done.Good music and well looked after by the staff. Felt safe at all times. Hidden gem.

Warm welcoming staff, friendly atmosphere

Haven't been in for a long time but was visiting friends so popped in on my way round the town. Was great to be in again. Its been years but still had a friendly welcome. Stayed far too long, got into trouble lol Don't know what these other reviewers are on about. Maybe it's a bit too classy for them. It reminded me of an American bar I went to in Florida. Will come back again one day. I missed it.

what can we say. we wont be back staff were lovely until said manager is on site very rude 5o staff and blunt to customers. we know times are hard but you should never be rude to customers who want to support you

So me and my family booked a table to come and see the live music. Sat at a table at the back as they thought we may have the dog with us. When the lady behind the bar noticed we had no dog she said we could move to a closer table. So as we went to move tables the lady who runs the pub shouted over us, they cant sit there, no apologies or reasoning just completely blanked us. She then proceeded to say that this isnt worth the trouble, speaking rudely to her staff, and shouting and swearing. Needless to say we didn't stay a second longer.

Quaint pub, with lots of memorabilia which was interesting to look at. Unfortunately they were not serving food on our visit, hence score as we only tasted the beer. Not a great choice of beer. It wasdog friendly.

Very nice friendly pub needs to be kept alive otherwise it's gone and you'll only have weather spoons has live music great choice of drinks lots of wacky things on the walls and a very lively enthusiastic young girl behind the bar who gets involved and brings some fun into the pub going back for kareoke

What was a good place to go has gone down hill now poor service, poor beers which are poor quality and over priced and normal past there sell by date going by the taste as for the over drinks if you must ho there i would suggest bottled and a straw as the glasses used are not good and as for the prices they are high for what you get

Thought we would give this pub a go for Sunday lunch after a walk around Littlehampton. Decorated with a wartime theme and done very well. The food was amazing we had the pork option and the veggie option. So much of it and amazing value. Two huge Sunday roasts for 22.00 The staff are friendly. The barmaid chatty but not intrusive and the chef lady you could tell 100 percent lovingvwhat she does. All veg was fresh and lots of meat. Give it a go. Littlehampton town centre isnt that nice but this pub really is. Highly recommended by us.

Great food. An old fashioned pub, alot more pleasant, than it once was.

We all absolutely loved it. All 7 of is ate, 6 Sunday Roasts which were fabulous. (Can’t remember what the 7th ate),.Highly recommend. A very warm welcome with a wonderful Christmas atmosphere right in the centre of town. Will definitely be going back. Thank you.

Good pub near station friendly service

In these days of bland, uniform, boring chain pubs, visiting this unique, characterful, slightly quirky pub was an absolute pleasure.

Poor quality over priced beer, no wonder it was so quiet

Visited this pub for a Sunday Roast with a friend. Our visit was in October and the Halloween decorations were plentiful (transpires this pub has something of a haunted history/interest). This is a proper pub with good features and drinks available; understand the real ales available change from time to time too, so always something new to try from time to time. There is garden seating available also but unlike some we chose to sit inside and both ordered the beef Sunday Roast. This was brought to us in a very reasonable time and the presentation, quantity (including an extra pot of gravy each) and taste of it was superb. Price for a Sunday Roast (on a Sunday as opposed to midweek) was very good too (£11.95 each or, as in our case, 2 meals for £20). My friend and I like a chat so we stayed for a few more drinks after eating (Service was fast and the server remembered what we were drinking too) and consequently got a bonus of watching a great band (Railroad), so we ended up staying until they finished playing around 7pm; the pub is a supporter of live music so regularly has live music acts playing. Would definitely visit this pub again and recommend others to do so.

Absolutely delicious, generous portions, fresh, good quality, 7 different vegetables (!) and vegetarians thoughtfully catered for (with choices!). We were even able to sit outside in the garden. Arriving right at the end of service we could have forgiven it being a bit dried out...

I've visited there a few times each time I've been to the UK.Easily one of my favorite place!Between it's spooky history,interesting decor,delicious roasts,coffees and chocolate,you have to go back for more!

Walked around littlehampton in search of a pub to have a nice drink and went into the dolphin and was greeted by a friendly smile and they had amazing deals on drinks lovely place beautiful atmosphere. Defo coming back

Took my little girl (7) down for her birthday on a thursday for karaoke as she loves karaoke. Staff was great and the atmosphere was lovely. Will always go back :)

There are several pubs in Littlehampton and in the four we tried , there were none that we particularly cared for as all of them seemed to be inhabited by people who’d been drinking all day which was reflected in the noisy drunks and shouty...

Popped in for the lunch and met the lovely landlady and entered the quirky pub. Great value for money - 2 for £10, can’t go wrong! Hearty sized portions and very very tasty. The pub has a quirky vibe but interesting decor. Will be back!

I had a really nice afternoon here today at the dolphin. Found the barstaff to be friendly and helpful. I had a question about the rules in pool!! Bit like the monopoly moment you have a Christmas. Will be coming back faw shaw :)

A chilled pub full of chilled clientèle watching and enjoying a good rootsy blues duo the night we were there. Had a good friendly feel about it. A proper boozer !

Popped into The Dolphin because wanted to see if they had a garden and also because we had kids with us. They accept kids upto 9pm. The pub is quite ecclectic with loads of old memorabilia dotted around the pub like old war time posters...

What a miserable place this is to visit. Bar staff rude and have to really push to be served and the atompsphere is worse still. Avoid and won’t be going back

The most amazing experience of my life meal perfect then we went on a tour of the pub OMG in the front basement and had something either thrown at or I was poked in the shoulder right shoulder even a few hours later I can still feel it. I am going to recommend pub to EVERYONE!!!!

Not the prettiest of pubs, but the food was really good and very reasonably priced. The Ploughman's was one of the best I have had.

Quality jukebox, pool table and nice staff. Like this bar because it's simply that. Relaxed atmosphere, no trouble and stocked with a couple of regulars. Little gazebo is sweet, especially when it's raining and you want a smoke/vape.

My god the same has normal good has ever you can’t beat Ellie’s roast and her rather large puddings yum yum... and even if you stay till 16.00 you have the privilege of seeing a band live for free what more can you ask for.........

Lovely staff, dog friendly, good beer and great food. The '2 for £12' menu deal greatly exceeded our expectations. My beef sandwich contained quality fresh roast beef. The ham that went with the chips and egg was carved from a fresh joint. Portions were large and the chips were top notch. Give it a go.

Nice querky pub, pleasant barmaid. Enjoyable experience and good beer. For me, there was somewhere to sit without a massive TV with the football in your face.
