Staff were friendly enough. Good however was definitely not worth the money. 3 Sunday roasts, everything overcooked except for the peas & carrots which was the best thing on the plate! The cauliflower cheese however was raw, you could get a knife or a fork into it!

Came here with my family for lunch walked past the kitchen there was stuff on the floor looked liked a teenage chef the food was horrible we all had a roast the meat was chewy and undercooked, i could barely cut the potatoes in half.red cabbage was really watery and the gravy was watery to. The bathrooms were tiny and disgusting the toilet roll was on top of the wall,it was cold and creepy. there is a doorbell right next to our table from the kitchen. the carpets and tables were ridiculously sticky i struggled picking up the menu because it was too sticky . i would not recommend this pub to anyone they need to sort this pub out ASAP.

Stayed while walking the Cotswold Way. Sunday night stay. Room was large and spacious, clean, though did smell a little of damp. We ate in the bar, and food was served quickly and to a pleasant pub-food standard. Would be happy to stay here again if in the area.

Just had a wonderful meal at the Dog Inn. This has been a favourite of my parents for some time as the food and service has always been good. We could not fault the prawn cocktail or the salt and pepper squid. My main meal of ‘mussels a la dog’ was superb with a delicious cheesy sauce and came with chips and a dressed side salad. The courses are generous so we had no room for a dessert. We will definitely return and look forward to trying out the many fish dishes on offer.

Run down pub that shows its age in not a good way. The place needs a good spring clean and re-decorating. That said, our meal was good and we were served well by a young waiter. Would I return? No thanks

Can't fault the staff, they were lovely, friendly and professional. Food however was disappointing. We all had roasts. Food arrived on cold plates, only thing hot was the roast potatoes. The meat was overdone and the veg was undercooked. We've eaten at The Dog many times and the food has always been great, but today was very disappointing.

Came up on the recommendation of friends who had had the lamb shank. My wife had the lasagne which was home made and superb came with lovely garlic bread and fresh salad My Mother in law had the lamb shank which came in a lovely red wine gravy with seasonal veg, usually comes with mash as well but she asked for chips instead which was no problem for the staff I had the mixed grill which at £18.95 was superb. Steak, gammon with fried egg, lamb chop and a sausage with peas and chips It was absolutely superb, my one bit of advice , put the price up to £22.50 and add mushrooms, grilled tomato and a slice of black pud and you have perfection on a plate Lovely meal and we will be returning soon

Thursday 5th july. I came to this pub with good expectations as was told good thing, I was very disappointed. The service was not what you would expect from a business in hospitality as they waiters where rude and simply gloomy. The menu was basic and uninspired, exsacly what you would expect from a weatherspoons. I had the mushroom brei Wellington witch seemed to have been cooked using the microwave. raw pastry, microwave burnt filling, and carrots over cooked so much it was a surprise they held there shape. The rest of the meals followed the same trend of most likely cooked in a microwave.i could only assume that the chef's have lost all passion for there job or just don't care. They ended up taking the Wellington of the bill but made no effort to say sorry for what was a sh*t meal. Hope they can use this as a wake up call and start to actually cook but I feel like it's just another pub slowly failing.

Unfortunately, it appears to us this cafe is no longer in business..we walked completely around the several buildings in the vicinity after completing a leg of our Cotswold Way walk and awaiting transportation. There was no signage indicating a cafe either. Additionally the website link is defunct also. If I'm mistaken and we simply couldn't find it or some other reason, apologies and best of luck to others (and disregard the single star of course).

Great food and service every time , the meat from the shop is top quality and all locally sourced. Will definitely be returning with friends

Come here 4 - 5 times a year when working in the area and have been satisfied enough in the past but. I can only think there has been a change of some sort, not the usual standard, the food served up did not reflect the menu description, it wasn’t far off but the Pork, apple & cider terrine with toasted sourdough and whipped herb butter came with warm bread and a standard slab of butter and the £24 lamb shank shepherds pie had more mash than anything else and the “cheddar crust” was a sea of melted cheese, the shank was nice though. For a meal at £30+ I’d expect more.
