The Distillery Bar in Southwark

From the outside this looked like a promising bar for a post-business meeting drink, but unfortunately we left pretty disappointed. Inside the decor is great and it has a sophisticated vibe to it, and there’s a number of outdoor seating options which are all very good. It took a while to get served at the bar, despite it not being busy, and we started to wonder if we were purposely being ignored. Eventually the bar staff took our order though but with no interaction at all - no hello, thank you or anything. He took the time to print and present the receipt before pouring the drinks which showed the addition of a service charge which certainly didn’t feel justified. Sitting outside made for a relaxing drinking experience but certainly not a cheap one, and being made to feel rather unwelcome means I’m unlikely to choose it again.

A wonderful experience visiting the Distillery bar today. Friendly and attentive staff, I asked for a recommendation and was quickly advised of a delightful choice I hadn't heard of before! With over 100 gins their knowledge was strong special thanks to all the team who made my visit so welcome despite me being on my own and feeling homesick. Bankside's team make this home away from home! Thank you!

My wife and I had dinner here tonight. One of our best dining experiences of our stay in London.. The food was excellent and the staff were so attentive. Great experience highly recommend.

We enjoyed a club sandwich with fries, also mushroom arancini for lunch. Sam looked after us, a really nice man. It’s a gorgeous bar and I’m not normally a fan of hotel bars. We were staying in the hotel, we went back to the distillery bar for cocktails, after a quick dinner in borough market. The ambience was just better. Gabriel was a master in the art of cocktail making, reasonably priced at £13. They have over 100 gins and told him I wasn’t a fan of gin. Made me a wicked ‘corpse reviver’ substituting vodka for gin. Andy loved his ‘old fashioned’

We recently visited London as part of a cruise of the British Isles. As a Hilton member, I checked the area and selected this hotel due to its location to several sights. Had a fun fill day and got back to the hotel hoping to grab dinner. OXBO was closed by the time we got back, but the Distillery Bar was opened and offered a selection of meails GREAT FOOD. I would RECOMMEND, the Turkey Club. It's served with friends and was a great meal. My wife and I loved it so much, we ordered it again on our return visit after our cruise. So stop by have a drink, or a pint and grab a meal. We'll be back in the near future with the family on another adventure to the UK. Thanks Hilton London Bankside and the Distillery Bar for a great experience.

We ate here several nights on our recent trip. Their steak was especially good and reasonably priced.

Contemporary, well-managed bar attached to the Hilton London Bankside. They have (literally) 100 gins and some truly great signature cocktails. The Aviation cocktail is a favorite!

Nothing was too much trouble, we enjoyed a wonderful meal and the service was very quick. Very reasonable prices too, less than £79 for a 2 course meal for 2 with a bottle of Pinot Grigio

After a long hot day of walking around London,we were met with the terrace of Distillery Bar where the waiter Domenico managed to arrange a table for us to sit and rest our legs whilst enjoying a drink. Domenico’s kind and attentive service made our rest stop an enjoyable experience! We left revived and kind farewells!

The Distillery Bar is a really beautiful place to get a cocktail or drink a beer in a really beautiful atmosphere. The Bartender Mo mixed me the best Cocktails i have ever had. Ask for his recommendations. 10/10 would go there again.

Lovely bar with 100 gins to pick from along with a good selection of beers and cocktails. Service is great and prices reasonable for the location .

Ambience - The bar is decorated in a lounge bar style and is actually part of the Hilton hotel on bankside. The bar staff had trendy uniforms but were not very experienced and didn't really know the drinks they had on display. Only one type of what i would call not so good lager by HELLS. Really should be a choice of other brands. Bar service was pretty quick but they were automatically adding a 12.5% service charge to the bill even though I was at the bar ordering my drinks. They were doing this to every customer. For me, this should only be for table service.. which was available if you so desired and didn't mind waiting. we were only in for one quick drink while on our way to a nearby restaurant. Minus one-star for lack of choice of beers and minus one star for trying to auto-charge for service even when buying drinks at the bar...

Nice gin bar, good selection of guns, especially good at happy hour when you can get two for one! Nice atmosphere too.
