Good food, reasonably priced. Manager Luis was extremely helpful I'd highly reccomend a visit. We had mac and cheese, kids ate for £1. Food was super speedy. Milkshakes looked amazing, we will have to go back for one.

First day, unwelcoming staff. Told an hour wait for food as they were short staffed. Second day, restaurant was quiet. Took ages for food to come. My son fell asleep because we waited so long. Food comes. Food comes extremely cold. Pasta is literally all sloppy and thrown on the plate. Again cold. Awful service. Awful atmosphere.

Went with my family as a group of 8. Restaurant staff supremely accommodating, rearranging tables so we could be seated as a family. The order to our table app made making our food choices really east. Unlimited soft drinks. My eldest ordered the chocolate milkshake which she said was supremely yummy made from scoops of ice cream with chocolate chips. I went for Sloppy Joe signature burger which was perfectly cooked and served with a side of crispy fries. Really didn't need the Apple Pie dessert buy what a wonderful way to round off the holiday at Butlins, Bognor Regis. Most definitely the best burger joint in Bognor.

Arrived and we were met by Josh. Nothing was too much trouble, from explaining to the children what was on the menu to ensuring everything was fab. And it was. My wife described her burger with blue cheese as the best she's had. It was a very relaxed atmosphere but professional at all times. Try it, or leave Butlins wishing you had. Thanks to everyone behind the scenes at the Diner, and a huge THANK YOU to Josh.

The brunch was absolutely brilliant, the drinks were good, as well as the food ans music. Robbie is an absolute Angel & an asset to The Diner team. Thank you Robbie for making our experience so good x

Service really slow, my children were 🥱 bored. However, the server did apologise for the wait. Food mediocre, but the beer was good.

They just can't be bothered to help with allergies. The type of place that would rather you just left than try and accommodate you. No can-do attitude at all... Really quite unwelcoming and unpleasant. Resulted in very disappointed young lady. Will not use on our next visit to Butlins.

I reviewed this place last year & commented on how slow the service was. I wish I could say things had improved since then, but - regrettably - it seems the feedback didn't trickle back to management. We were lured in to stop for a quick bite on our last day before heading off by the promise that "kids eat for £1". This is not strictly true - you're presented with a 3 course set menu for kids, but the £1 only covers the main course - so you'll still end up paying for drinks & the additional bits. I thought this was misleading, which got my back up from the get-go if I'm honest... however the meal for the 4 of us came to about £50 which, by 2023's standard isn't at all bad - so I was willing to give the place a chance nonetheless. Unfortunately, in spite of the fact the place wasn't at all busy, we waited much longer than I'd expect for our food. Upon finishing our mains, nobody came to collect our plates - & after 20 minutes or so I was able to flag down our waitress & ask for our desserts. We waited another 15 or so minutes before I decided we'd waited long enough & followed up. She apologised & admitted that she'd forgotten to put the request through - no worries, that happens. But what annoyed me was that she punched some buttons on the till (presumably to send that request through to the kitchen), then stood chatting to her colleague. My wife rightly commented that "you'd think, given that we've been waiting so long because she forgot to do something, she'd escalate it & go into the kitchen to explain it would be fair to expedite it..." We still waited another 10 minutes - for 2 scoops of ice cream. All-in-all, we ended up being in the restaurant for more than 2 hours again - much like last year. What was supposed to be a quick cheap eat, ended up being a bit of a palarver (to be frank). The food was decent enough, but not good enough that I'd excuse being left sat around for so long. Bit of a shame to end our stay at Butlins that way, as we otherwise had very positive things to say! As an aside, I noted that the tables around us were all covered in dishes, so there's clearly just a staffing/efficiency issue at the venue in general. I've never seen an empty restaurant full of tables covered in empty plates in this way, not sure if or where that's normal.

I was on done around and after having gone to the till and made our order there was no mention if we were happy with our food. I had to then ask for our table to be cleared and for our puddings to be brought out despite a number of staff standing about cleaning tables that were already clean. I felt there was no after service or thought given once you were on dine around. We also experienced the same issue in the firehouse grill. On the upside food tasted nice.

The kitchen staff clearly working hard and one server . The other 4 members of staff were disengaged . We stood by the front door for ages whilst they chat at the bar looking at us but not coming over , finally came over and were told it would be 45 mins for food . We got our own menus and colouring for our daughter . We decided as it was 8pm just to go for it and wait . ( it actually was with us in like 20 mins- don’t know if they were trying to put people off?!) If no one is taking orders at tables and only one person is running food I can’t imagine you’re running a very profitable business on the staff front . If you had half the staff they’d at least have something to do and not become bone idle . I had to ask for our table to be cleared and our daughters dessert to be sent out . We tried to raise attention but got blanked by staff and ended up having to go the bar . Went to leave staff looked at us and not a thank you or goodbye At nearly £60 for the 3 of us it’s shocking service. The food was pretty good. Ruined by service .

It’s a shame you can’t give no stars. Right from the start we had the most miserable server and rudely asked what table we was sat at!!! Drinks took forever to come and our food was sat under the light for a good 10 minutes getting cold. When my burger came, the bread was stale and so so dry!! And the burger patty you can tell was a bland frozen patty the meal was just awful and it’s so over priced for the bland frozen food you get. Honestly I would avoid it and go else where. We spent £45 and we could have brought it all at the shop for at least £20!!

Great food and good service - a little slower than I’d have liked, but they were very very busy. In fact I’m in the photo “strtbest64” has posted on their review below, so we were presumably there at the same time, and it was rammed by the time I left at 18:00/30 (from a 16:30 DineAround booking). More to the point, my children are in the photo, so I’m quite relieved the staff were discerning enough that a table wasn’t given to someone so entitled they’d take photos of other peoples children without consent, and then post them publicly online.

Unable to book told to come back at 17:00 then told no tables due to dining plan by Calum come back in half an hour due to the lies before decided to wait.... You. An see by photo loads of tables....

We visited the diner on 9th May 2023 5 adults and 5 children for my granddaughters Birthday. Honestly we could not have been looked after better A young man called Josh was so charming/ helpful and looked after everyone fantastically We had a variety of meals such as Steak. Ribs. Chicken strips along with. Chocolate brownies with ice cream and to top it all of the staff are so friendly and at the end of our meal they sang happy birthday to our granddaughter. I have no hesitation in recommending the Diner 10 out of 10

Chicken bone in my burger - need I say more Venue - 2/5 - very run down, several couches had matches missing and the place needed lick of paint. Music too loud Staff - 2/5 - running round like headless chickens, not one came over to check on us for an hour, and when someone did they took our starter and asked do we want dessert!!!! DESSERT….I want the main mate!! He scurried away and came back saying don’t worry they hadn’t lost your ticket (I wish they had). Wife queued to order food for 25 minutes….got to front of queue and waiter walked off before someone pointed her to back of the next queue. Bonus point because they all looked lost, clearly needs a manager (or a new one) Food - 1/5 - greasy…very greasy!! Tots menu is 1 of what you order for portion, 1 fish finger, 1 slice of garlic bread….they need to come meet my 4 year old and see what a kid really eats!! The food was served very quickly, the portions were a great size for starter, main and dessert. My daughters kids portion was also a good size. Desert was amazing, would definitely recommend and our server Ellie was very friendly, kind and helpful.

From the second we walked in we all had a warm welcome from the staff, our girls were offered colouring and activity sheets and given a booth, we were warned as the restaurant was busy that there might be a 30 minute wait for food however we didn't wait that long! Ellie was our server and she was lovely, polite and efficient. Ellie is fantastic at her job and was really helpful and informative and so a huge thank you Ellie!!!

First day of the children's Easter Holiday. I expected it to be busy, and it was. Despite the staff being really stretched, our server Murren, was bright and fun. She engaged with my Granddaughters and apologised to us about the expected delay, which she had no control of. The meal was just right but because of it's location on a Butlins site, the captive diners are asked to pay more than outside the gates with the added competition. All in all a very pleasant experience. If Murren gets this passed on, we wish her good luck with her Uni.
