I've visited this pub a few times now with friends and my dog, and it never disappoints. The food is fantastic, with generous portions that are both delicious and affordable - especially the three-course deal, which is amazing value. The staff are always welcoming and friendly, and the dog-friendly atmosphere is a lovely bonus. My dog loves it here as much as I do, which makes every visit even better. Highly recommend!

I went to the Denton not too long ago, at the bar I was served by holly with a smile and brilliant quick service.

Close to home, tried their steak pie, it was lovely and hot, went with a friend and she had the same pie and chips

Holly and Molly behind the bar are so friendly and welcoming. The chef who cooked my food, think she was called Lynsey deserve’s credit for her cooking skills. Superb experience all round.

We went to try the Dentons new menu, absolutely stunning we had the beef rib and a turkey dinner served by Dan the Manager and Matt.

Had a lovely meal with family and Matthew was really friendly and interacted with our Grandson. Although we aren't local to the area I'd definitely recommend this place. The food was delicious.

Went here for a Sunday lunch with the family. Me and my partner couldn’t believe it when our lunches came out. The veg we had was the worst. We had about 5 peas and the trimmings of a cabbage. The roasters weren’t home cooked they were frozen roasties. No mash no carrots or anything . For 14 pound it was possibly the worst dinner I have had. You could pay 7 pound for three side which is ridiculous considering how much you pay for the dinner itself.

Me and my partner visited here recently, warm welcome, tasty food and great atmosphere. Would highly recommend!

I can’t even begin to say how helpful the staff have been with my dietary needs. I was here for a funeral and the food that was put on I couldn’t have because of contamination so they did something just for me and it was lovely. I and I never got told to say it was the handsome man who help me 🤭

The place is so nice these days, proper lovely atmosphere with nice staff and customers. The manager, Dan I think he's called is really canny and helpful. Definitely recommended, especially on a sunny day for the beer garden our front.

Tuesday afternoon went in for something to eat , was very impressed with the new menu and the food was delicious , thanks to Emily in the kitchen and the pints were just as good from Holly.

We had fish Bream but ran out of potatoes for the sauteed sauce at 2pm !!!! Also ran out of Raspberries foa a vegan sweet !!!

Came into denton on my own and was met with an amazing, friendly, welcome by 2 members of bar staff Lesley and Julie. The place itself is very clean and the carling is a really nice pint. Highly recommend this establishment and definitely be back.

A quiet night,staff very attentive.

We have been going to the denton for a few weeks. The staff are so friendly and cheery and the food is amazing. The hibters chicken and the fish and chips sre the best weve tasted and the desserts, well they speak for themselves. The atmosphere on a weekend is absolutely buzzing. Its an all round friendly local pub and I would recommend it to anyone. We're definitely going again.

Went here as a stop on the way home. Staff served us like they hated their job. Had a half so we could go. Shame the place is so miserable these days.

Visited the pub Sunday for the Motown Night and couldn’t fault the place. Service was super, especially Dan, who made it his priority to ensure everyone in the group was made to feel welcome. We shared nachos, which were absolutely delicious! Can’t wait for our next visit already!

New manager Dan is great, haven’t been here since he took over but it’s much better already!

The pub itself came across ok and was great size with good atmosphere and fair prices but I just can't score it any higher for the disgusting smell from the toilets, I'm sure it's from the mens. There was a couple of doors before you actually reached the toilets and the smell came through all the doors, knocked me for sick, hated when I needed to go, tried my best to avoid. I was there for an evening from about 9pm for couple of hours.

Friday, 15th March: Everything was fantastic and so well organised. I booked a party area for 60 people with a catered buffet (Gold option), the food and the party location and service of the staff was exemplary! We were there from 7pm until midnight and what a fantastic night we all had. Thank you so much to everyone at the Denton for making this a super night of celebration for my husband’s 60th birthday! What a great team!

Great place for my purposes....stopping en route for a snack and a coffee. On my last call a few weeks ago I was especially impressed with Matt who was helpful and friendly from the start. Pointed out system for free parking , took the light bite order attentively, and delivered it as if I were having a three course meal. A credit to Ember Inns. Premises are well used but well kept, clean and(mostly) decent furniture. I hope to be back to this or other Ember Inns.

Popped in affer a shopping trip in benwell, had some lovely food and a nice cocktail served by Joe, toilets very clean and tidy. You can tell the staff here care.

Breakfast was amazing as the meat was all cooked on a flame grill, super tasty and clean. I wanted to stay for the Sunday lunch as they do beef ribs!!!! Really reasonable price too, I will be back.

Dinners cold not very nice food in fact it went in the bin as I won't be getting Food again from the Denton

Booked a table for 16 for Derby day, Great atmosphere and service was fantastic as was all the food 10 out of 10 from all my party. Will definitely be regulars now the Denton is a lovely bar with amazing staff.

Today I was at the Denton for Christmas lunch , the atmosphere , the staff are great, atmosphere but the food was a big disappointment. The veg looked like a pile of mush on the plate , the gammon was really chewy and the pigs on blanket were undercooked , not enough gravy and the fruit crumble was awful. Not worth the £53 at all . So disappointed as a I have been for normal bar meals and they were at such a good standard that’s what made me decide to come for Christmas lunch. Very disappointed .
