We had the mixed grill , food was great and the staff even better , what a lovely atmosphere on a late Tuesday evening, free parking just make sure you enter your registration on the tablet

The place is so nice these days, proper lovely atmosphere with nice staff and customers. The manager, Dan I think he's called is really canny and helpful. Definitely recommended, especially on a sunny day for the beer garden our front.

Tuesday afternoon went in for something to eat , was very impressed with the new menu and the food was delicious , thanks to Emily in the kitchen and the pints were just as good from Holly.

We had fish Bream but ran out of potatoes for the sauteed sauce at 2pm !!!! Also ran out of Raspberries foa a vegan sweet !!!

Came into denton on my own and was met with an amazing, friendly, welcome by 2 members of bar staff Lesley and Julie. The place itself is very clean and the carling is a really nice pint. Highly recommend this establishment and definitely be back.

A quiet night,staff very attentive.

We have been going to the denton for a few weeks. The staff are so friendly and cheery and the food is amazing. The hibters chicken and the fish and chips sre the best weve tasted and the desserts, well they speak for themselves. The atmosphere on a weekend is absolutely buzzing. Its an all round friendly local pub and I would recommend it to anyone. We're definitely going again.

Went here as a stop on the way home. Staff served us like they hated their job. Had a half so we could go. Shame the place is so miserable these days.

Visited the pub Sunday for the Motown Night and couldn’t fault the place. Service was super, especially Dan, who made it his priority to ensure everyone in the group was made to feel welcome. We shared nachos, which were absolutely delicious! Can’t wait for our next visit already!

New manager Dan is great, haven’t been here since he took over but it’s much better already!

The pub itself came across ok and was great size with good atmosphere and fair prices but I just can't score it any higher for the disgusting smell from the toilets, I'm sure it's from the mens. There was a couple of doors before you actually reached the toilets and the smell came through all the doors, knocked me for sick, hated when I needed to go, tried my best to avoid. I was there for an evening from about 9pm for couple of hours.

Friday, 15th March: Everything was fantastic and so well organised. I booked a party area for 60 people with a catered buffet (Gold option), the food and the party location and service of the staff was exemplary! We were there from 7pm until midnight and what a fantastic night we all had. Thank you so much to everyone at the Denton for making this a super night of celebration for my husband’s 60th birthday! What a great team!

Bottomless brunch for Mother's Day was fantastic, we've had a brilliant day .. Dan kept the drinks coming and was a fantastic host we will be coming back regularly .. ❤️

Great place for my purposes....stopping en route for a snack and a coffee. On my last call a few weeks ago I was especially impressed with Matt who was helpful and friendly from the start. Pointed out system for free parking , took the light bite order attentively, and delivered it as if I were having a three course meal. A credit to Ember Inns. Premises are well used but well kept, clean and(mostly) decent furniture. I hope to be back to this or other Ember Inns.

Popped in affer a shopping trip in benwell, had some lovely food and a nice cocktail served by Joe, toilets very clean and tidy. You can tell the staff here care.

Breakfast was amazing as the meat was all cooked on a flame grill, super tasty and clean. I wanted to stay for the Sunday lunch as they do beef ribs!!!! Really reasonable price too, I will be back.

Booked a table for 16 for Derby day, Great atmosphere and service was fantastic as was all the food 10 out of 10 from all my party. Will definitely be regulars now the Denton is a lovely bar with amazing staff.

Today I was at the Denton for Christmas lunch , the atmosphere , the staff are great, atmosphere but the food was a big disappointment. The veg looked like a pile of mush on the plate , the gammon was really chewy and the pigs on blanket were undercooked , not enough gravy and the fruit crumble was awful. Not worth the £53 at all . So disappointed as a I have been for normal bar meals and they were at such a good standard that’s what made me decide to come for Christmas lunch. Very disappointed .

Went to The Denton on Thursday 23 November- had a really good night making sea glass Christmas decorations. The staff were amazing - particularly Angela and the chef- who was very accommodating. Food was delicious- we will definitely go back again

6 of us from Manchester had a meal here lovely place excellent service. Special thanks to Natalie who really looked after us. We will visit again sometime. You can always move to our local Ember Inn Natalie Barton Arms.

Great venue. I'm a regular customer and always receive excellent service. The bar has excellent disabled access and parking at the front for disabled customers with a large rear car park for other customers. Big outside seating area.

I have been a customer of the denton for some time & felt compelled to share my experience with a post. The food & service are excellent!!! Jackie at the bar & the two chefs in the kitchen. I had posh fish & chips with a side salad & a portion of beer battered mushrooms.

Not bad service and food okay. Was a little troubled about the parking eye in their car park so got dropped off.

Both CHEF and assistant manager DAN were superb this visit. Bringing a level of unexpected humour to my evening, I'd heartily recommend a visit if you've never been here before. Good value food, with a added money saving incentive that it's "cheaper to buy the bottle than drink per glass" from Dan... I certainly won't be driving home tonight. Special shout also to the two bar and waiting staff who were also welcoming, polite and attentive. Many thanks all x

Booked a table for me and my friend. Got there they said theres no booking in your name when I had the email to prove it...and then she said do you have a mask I said I'm exempt, she asked me to prove it , I said I dont have a card so she said oh well I will have to stick you in the corner..then proceed to tell me I have to download an app and pay and order by the app. so it took me 30 minutes to sort that out..then I forgot my table number and no one would answer us walked straight by us twice ignoring us when I was trying to get her attention... fair enough if it was really busy but it wasint...there was more tables that were empty she could have put us...and not be so rude.

I visited the Denton on Friday 28th may. It was very busy I did not have a booking but the lady on the door was very accomodating. She found us a table all the rules were explained and very clear. Table service was fantastic Laura served us all night we didn’t have to wait even though they were very busy. I will Definatly be returning well done to all the staff on duty.

ive come here a couple times now for food and drinks. Never had a complaint about the food it is always cooked lovely. Will be back soon

Estábamos con un grupo de personas para un cumpleaños y un miembro del personal vino a una competencia y decidió unirse a una conversación y ofendió y molestó a una de las damas del grupo y cuando alguien dijo que la había ofendido, se dieron la vuelta y fuimos como un hombre tranquilo, tuvimos una buena noche en general, ¡pero inaceptable que una mujer se ofendió y se molestó y luego dejó el grupo!

Very unhappy about the service from the door staff. We visited the Indian rest opposite and then crossed road to pub. The door staff wouldn’t allow my sister in saying she was drunk even after we had explained about 10 times she had had a stroke. Wouldn’t let u in with bags of alcohol which we had left from rest even though we asked them to put behind bar. Many thanks to Julie from behind bar who sorted it all out. Please get who ever you employ for security to education their staff.

Visité este pub para reunirse con amigos. Nos reunimos aquí aproximadamente 3 a 4 veces al año para una comida y recuperación. Llegué en automóvil, estacioné, tuve comida, charlamos, etc. ¡Imagínese mi horror de recibir en el correo un cargo de estacionamiento de 85 de una compañía llamada Euro Car Parks porque aparqué en el aparcamiento del pub y no pagué! Honestamente puedo decir que no vi la señal, ya que siempre he estacionado en el estacionamiento, prácticamente en el mismo lugar cada vez. De acuerdo, es mi culpa, y aprecio que el pub debe hacer que la gente estacione en su estacionamiento y no visite el pub. ¡Pero usar una compañía que cobra 85 (50 si se paga dentro de los 14 días) es indignante! Nunca volveré a usar este lugar y tampoco mis amigos.

Been a couple of times lately food really poor waited nearly an hour tonight and had to send back as it was cold they put in microwave and gave back not the best. Was hungry and in company . Staff lovely cocktails fab Won’t be eating again think my food reheated at least twice bad craic .

Tried with a 15% offer. No VFM. "Ham" should read 2 slices of "wafer thin". "Blonde" service.No return.

We used to come here quite often - but after last week never again. The food was terrible - a rubbery tasteless piece of chicken and a lasagne that had been microwaved into a solid mass - basically inedible

Early valentines treat we thought we’d give here a go! Not been for food here for years! Have to say we were very impressed! Baked Camembert to start was relay good! Mains were lovely as well! They didn’t have the pork belly so I guess I will have to return to try that!

Not a bad pub during the day but does get full of idiots on a weekend night. Seen a couple of fights in there.
