My vegan breakfast was perfect 10/10 A lovely clean restaurant with friendly staff. Very good value for money. A traditional English breakfast with toast and a pot of tea plus a full vegan breakfast with toast and excellent coffee came to £27. Everything was cooked to perfection and very tasty. All-all-all a great experience.

Amazing breakfast both vegan and traditional. Definitely will be back as it always difficult to find somewhere that caters for vegan and meat eaters at this standard. Thanks to Luca & Dan in the kitchen as well as Annie & Ryan for looking after us so well.

It’s been my local for over ten years and I love this place. Great atmosphere, music, good selection of drinks and the staff are superb. The general manager especially so, and they have always been really accommodating when my dad comes down who has mobility issues. He loves it in here too.

This local pub is amazing. Great selection of drinks. It is a little more expensive than your every pub but not by much, however you are paying for quality food and the service is amazing. Staff are very attentive and friendly. The pub owner goes out of his way to make sure your visit is a pleasant one. Food is amazing quality. I can totally recommend the steak sandwich with rosemary fries. The outdoor area is great when it's sunny and you are shielded in from the street. I am not going to lie. I am a frequent flyer at this place because the standards are consistently high.

I booked the upstairs function room at Brandling Arms for a baby shower for my sister. It was a perfect venue. It’s a lovely room, food was amazing and staff were lovely. From first enquiry through to the event, it was a really easy and smooth process. They let us bring our own decorations and cake, and put our music on. It’s rare to find a venue who make everything so easy and the event goes so perfectly. Really decently priced too. Thank you Brandling Arms! Highly recommended.

Just had an epic Sunday dinner. The beef was tasty and thickly sliced, loads of veg, crispy potatoes and a fab Yorkshire pudding. We ordered a side of cauliflower cheese that was gorgeous as well- nice and cheesy and a bit of whole grain mustard. Great portion size- feeling really full! Gorgeous food and fabulous wine. Great service as always

Really lovely atmosphere pub grub was good, we had the small plates shared and all very tasty. Two others had a huge burger which went down a treat. Lovely outdoor seating area, easy to forget you are on the high street. Ordering was by the app or at the bar …. Comfortable seating and very bright decor. Exactly what we wanted for a family casual night out.

Popped in for dinner for a birthday meal to use the £30 drinks voucher received via email. The food was amazing, so hands up to chef Chris who was cooking that day. Our server Emma was really helpful, as were all of the staff. This is a great place to have a bite to eat, great service, atmosphere and price, would highly recommend.

I was made to feel warm and welcomed upon my arrival from both Grace and Josh and my scrambled eggs from Chris were cooked to perfection. First time customer but I’ll be back for sure!

Went with family for our daughter’s bday, we’ve been looked after, staff friendly and knowledgeable plus asked if chef can make a dish I like but not on the Sunday menu, and there was no problem at all . Recommended 👍🏼

Absolutely fabulous...we sat outside as we didn't book on a Sunday ...our fault...after 10mins they had a cancellation so lovely hostess came and asked if we would like to move inside. She was so lovely got us high chair and made sure we liked the table...the waiters Annie and Ryan checked in on us and we don't even wait long for food which we thought was great as was so busy...Dan was our chef and the food was glorious we are both veggies so there sometimes isn't the best choice but this was lovely could tell they had considered this in the menu. Would always come back out baby and dog we're loving the friendly atmosphere and the food as well. Thanks again for a lovely experience

There was plenty of sunshine, and most of the guests sat in the courtyard, which was full of laughter. The food in arms is of a certain standard. This is a small town, and the people coming and going are not complicated.

We had a fantastic experience at the Brandling Arms for our Church Sunday Lunch Club. The food was excellent, the service at the bar was great, and the hosts were incredibly friednly and accommodating. Thank you for making our lunch truly special!

Great pub this is! It has a really good atmosphere, very modern and the service was brilliant! I stopped by for something to eat, having a Cheeseburger and fries along with a cider - the quality was better than any other and value for money, too! Highly recommend!

Nice modern / casual atmosphere. A couple of craft beers on tap. Food looked interesting but we did not eat. Nice beer garden at front, but too cold to use when we visited.

Really easy to book table and ample room for our large group of mums to park prams. Staff were really helpful and friendly, food delicious and competitively priced. No complaints and plan to be back again very soon.

It’s OK….BUT a few things would have made it a lot better. The pub itself is really open and dog friendly, clean with a nice atmosphere. The food is plentiful but there are a few strange details which need addressing. We had Sunday Roasts - all the meat was very nicely cooked, but the Chicken is served on the bone which needs clarifying, and also the Beef is served medium which for some (not me) is under done. The question of how a consumer would like the Beef should be asked. The Cabbage and Leek combo was very crunchy - very underdone. Gravy and vegetables were very nice. The Sticky Toffee pudding is oddly too salty…!! Almost savoury. This is a strange decision to make in the recipe, and although I quite liked the idea, it could do with being a little less! Overall on food: 6.5/10

Came here with my Grandma for lunch and got the chicken bacon burger and chorizo and feta, was lovely would definitely recommend if you are looking for somewhere nice to eat with friends and family.

Food is lovely, we had fish and chips for good Friday and the haddock was beautiful. Lovely decor and nice place.

Popped in for dinner before work. Had the chicken wrap with fries and was absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a bit of dinner through the week. Want to shout out chef Dan and Amy for amazing customer serivce. Will 100% be coming back soon

One of the best pubs in the area. We went with a group of 30+ on this occasion and they looked after us all so so well. The food was and always is excellent, thanks to Chef Joe. The service was brilliant, very friendly and helpful, thanks to Ryan & Grace. Thoroughly recommend for food and/or drinks, and with whatever sized group!

Went for drinks with friends and had never been before. Had a great time, great selection of drinks and nice atmosphere. Want to shout out Katie and Ryan as well. It was refreshing to receive customer service on a great level like we had. Will definitely be retraining soon.

Been wanting to try The Branding Arms for years and years and on Monday me and my wife chose great sunny random day to try. The pub is a bright, warm and very pleasant place to be.The staff we met seemed happy and enjoyed the job. We asked to take photos and they were really cool with it. They also told us the menu will change in 6 weeks time too. We ordered two Signature Burgers. One Rosemary and Parmesan. Cheese cake, brownie. Was a costly adventure but super well worth it. The ingredients were nice and different for the taste. The amount of skin on fries in the cups was plenty and had a lush taste and crisp. The cheese cake stole the show in looks and taste, The cake had shortbread up the side too which I enjoyed. The popcorn and chocolate sauce were so pleasing. My wife had brownie and ice cream which was lovely too. Overall I would say look at the menus and enjoy. Thank you Branding Arms and staff. We will come back down the line in the year as we live in Blyth.

It’s not very often I review a restaurant However I have to say how disappointed I was with the food that we had. We went for Sunday lunch and personally an establishment should give the customer the choice if they wish to have their beef pink. It’s not to everyone’s liking and should at least specify on the menu. Also the chicken was in the bone and I think this is laziness on the restaurants part. Again, the customer should be given the choice if they want meat on the bone. Fat wasn’t rendered on the pork therefore the meat was slimy from the fat. I like my vegetables with crunch but not just blanched. Saving grace was the service was great went out of their way considering there was a group of us but sadly I won’t be returning

Going out to eat with my Mam, who is coeliac is usually difficult and disappointing, with either staff who don't understand what it means, or very limited choice of suitable food for her. Today was a breath of fresh air - with the best gluten free service I have experienced in a long time. I asked what was available, and Matt explained that they could do any of the sandwiches on gluten free bread - but that if there was anything else on the menu she fancied, that most things could be tweaked to ensure they were GF. She asked if she could have fish and chips - and the answer was yes - a GF flour and beer are used to make the batter - and Mam said it was lovely. My sister and I had the cheese toasties, and they were great too. Matt was fabulous and really made the visit very enjoyable - thankyou so much!

First visit in five years, Grace served me with a smile and demonstrated excellent knowledge about the beers on tap and the menu. The pub was bright and bustling on this Sunday afternoon, the Sunday dinners looks stunning too!

3 large parsnips 3 tiny roasties, no mash. Yorkshire pudding quite bland but beef very tasty as was the gravy although I could have done with more. Veg cooked perfectly. At £17.50 too expensive for what you get.

Me and my partner were approached by a very drunk woman who could not stop touching my dog. Although she was not affiliated with the restaurant it ruined our experience. However 5 stars

We came for some drinks as ive always wanted to come, we where served by grace who was absolutely amazing she made me a drink I loved without some ingredients I didn't like and kept making them for me. She was an absolute pleasure and made us want to come back. Kind, attentive super friendly. Definitely an asset to your company she deserves a raise she was that good to us!! Nice impromptu night. Just popped in, nice atmosphere, nice place, kids & dog friendly. Lots of seats. Was showing 6 nations & football games.

Lovely modern, clean bar, friendly staff and interesting choice of drinks, not your usual fosters or Carling but I was introduced to Hells Larger which hit the spot. We went in around 2pm through to 4.30pm and it was just starting to pick up with customers as we were going. There is a nice little area that can be curtained off for a more private area too but I am unsure of how you would book that area. A little pricey for food, the most expensive plate of food is a mega burger with the trimmings and chips for £18.50 and a small portion of seasoned fries is £5, I didn't eat so I have no idea if the food is good but eating the passing food with my eyes was incredible, you will feel hungry just watching! Toilets are clean and well looked after. Dogs and children welcome through the day. All in all a nice place to visit for a drink or two.

Our Sunday roasts were just what we all wanted, so highly recommended.

Hey, the brandling is a cool place for a casual lunch meeting. It's got a big open area and comfy seats. And if you're into having a drink with lunch, they've got a great selection of craft beers.

Nice ambience and food, staff are good. It was a little cold, maybe shut the outside doors; the place is so well lit no one's going to think it's closed. You need a better choice of guest IPA's, they never seem that great, Wylam brewery does some good ones and they're local.

Service was quick. However food was not of great quality. Fish did not taste fresh. Avocado was missing pico del gallo, as it was mentioned in the menu. Waffles were given with sugar syrup but not maple syrup. I ordered all the drinks with no ice and a came with ice. Don’t think we will be back again

My husband and I recently popped in to the Brandling arms with a friend whilst having some christmas drinks in Gosforth. The staff where lovely and very friendly and are drinks where great. The Guinness was great according to my hubby and he's a big Guinness snob.

Great pub, lovely atmosphere. Been here lots over the years and never written a review. Prompted by our New Years Eve visit when we had an issue with our food. Delicious as usual but unusually cold. The way the staff dealt with it was excellent. Other places I've frequented could take a leaf from their book. You can't beat good service and top notch staff 😁

So so disappointed. So downhill from last year. Can't fault the staff because they were lovely but the food came out about 5 minutes after ordering which is unsettling. Turkey was fatty, Yorkshire pudding tasted stale. Rock hard practically raw parsnips, anemic pigs in blankets and the whole meal was cold. We were so disappointed.

I booked late on the Saturday evening so could only get a table after 2pm. I was a bit worried that the Sunday roasts could have run out/gone over but I needn’t have been. We were met by lovely, friendly staff and taken to a nice table. Unfortunately we couldn’t get the QR ordering to work due to all three of us having no signal, but staff were happy to take our order at the bar. Beef roasts were beautiful. I always ask for extra gravy and they brought me a generous jug. One slight complaint is that the sausage in the kid’s meal was dry and not great, but that was the only thing. I’m not sure why we haven’t been here before but we certainly will again. Your staff are a credit to you.

And not very busy It was a cold night outside and temperature inside not very warm, several people eating with their outdoor coats on! 2of our party ordered hake with baby potatoes The fish was delicious but the potatoes were hard and needed further cooking We ate them as were time limited but Idid mention it to the waitress when she collected the plates She said she would tell the chef but we received no feedback from that Wouldn’t rush back

Staff were incredible - when I called to request a quiet table to help support my brother who has ASD and severe learning difficulties, the staff were so friendly and helpful and made an exceptional effort to accommodate us. Food and fab, and there was a great selection of drinks. We were incredibly grateful and had a lovely evening!

We had a lovely afternoon at Brandling Arms for my baby shower. The function room itself is situated upstairs and private from the main pub/restaurant. The buffet food was perfect, exactly what we'd hoped for and had many compliments from my friends. Kai serving us was very polite and helpful! It was lovely to have a member of staff purely allocated to us and a private bar (so not having to go downstairs to purchase drinks). We would not hesitate in using Brandling Arms again for a future event and would recommend it to our friends and family.

Good atmosphere and polite friendly staff. We went twice in 2 days. They offer cocktails and plenty of drink choices. Dog friendly too with a good outside area with some cover and heating. All in all very nice here.

Booked a table on a Sunday arrived at 3pm. Went to order and ran out of roasts, how is that possible on a Sunday dreadful. Wouldn’t have been too bothered if we hadn’t had booked in advance Not only that but they were out of EVERY meat don’t know what they ran out of for all roasts to be sold out. Makes me think the kitchen were just over run and couldn’t be arsed
