Ian was so helpful, I have never met such a friendly bar tender.

Ian was absolutely lovely the entire night and was so attentive - would recommend this pub for any occasion!!

Lovely 1930s pub with friendly staff and plenty of seating inside and out. Food has improved recently but the selection of real ales is down to a paltry 3. Good for sports though.

We are a 15 people on a table and the staff denied us cutlery to cut a cake just because it was from outside. would never visit again.

Service was ice cold and the wait for food seemed like an age.

Always the best time, great service from everyone but a shining light HAS to be Chloe. Made my night special and feels like I’m coming to see a friend again , and will come back looking for my favourite girl! Thank you for a great night xx

Extremely helpful staff We had drinks and a lovely meal, unfortunately our grandson was ill over the floor, we offered to clear it up, the bar staff insisted that they done it, we were so grateful to them for there help, it’s a great pub, we’ll be back

This is my local pub and I was in there last week and decided to final leave a review. It's such great value for the money and the food is genuinely nice across the whole range of food they do. Good outdoor space and lota of space inside. I have also taken my kids a few times during the day and it's family friendly.

Great lunchtime deal for couples. Lovely pub with great outside areas front and back so you can follow the sun around. Handy for Petts Wood station

Really good service from Ian, fun night out !

Would like to start off that on a whole the daylight was very nice, good staff, great atmosphere. However, one member staff ( have been told manager called Ben) had a real power issue. I’m new to the daylight and don’t often go out. After being persuaded by friends to watch the England game I went. Ben tore my ticket, then in front of crowds singled me out and demanded I showed him my stamp, I felt like a child. Then numerous people was standing on the bench seats and caught up in the aurora of the England game and again he singled me out and humiliated me again in front of a packed pub. He completely single handed ruined my experience. When I approached him and asked why he was singling me out, he then got very agitated and confrontational and demanded a doorman remove me. I had two drinks the whole night. Was not intoxicated to cause any problems and upon speaking to friends it seems he is a problem. Very rude and arrogant! I would avoid untill they can gather some control over his ego, such a shame an establishment like that would let an idiot like him have charge.

Went last Friday evening for a works leaving do and had such a fantastic time. The door staff were really friendly as we're the bar staff too. I ordered the steak and chips and must say that's the best I have ever had in a pub before. Great friendly safe atmosphere as I only moved too this are back in October. Will highly recommend this place and will definitely come again. Thanks once again for a great evening

Went in just for lunch so wasn't busy thankfully. Food was delicious and the service fantastic. Great pub ,hadn't been there for a while so was nice to go back and discover its still as good as it was .good prices, friendly people .what more could you want.

We came for lunch today on Thursday afternoon. Enjoyed some tapas from the new menu and a gammon steak. Good menu choices, something for everyone. Faye and Lisa were helpful and friendly. Nice relaxed pub with a lovely atmosphere.

It's got beer, an outside space that's ok and has the football on.

Such a great pub. You always get a warm welcome, the team can't do more for you and the locals are very friendly. Extensive food and drink options and two 'sun trap' beer gardens. They also show all of the major sporting events, with 2 large HD screens and 2 projectors. Can't recommend it any higher.

If I could leave 6 stars I would, there’s something about pubs like this that just leave a smile on your face and a contentment in your stomach.

This is a friendly pub, shows most sport on large screens. Limited range of ales but no issues re quality/ price. Food unrated as haven't eaten here. Staff friendly.

I booked a section of the pub for my husbands 50th Birthday. All staff, from bookings to serving the drinks were amazing.

Food is absolutely amazing, never had a complaint about food, the only thing is food isn’t served after 8pm and it doesn’t say that on the menu or anywhere that food stops at 8pm but other then that everything is fab, great price as well, can not fault it! I’ve recommended this pub to so many of my friends and they love it too.

Have always enjoyed my pub lunches at this place and it was probably a bad choice to order a curry in a pub but not only did it take a long time to arrive, the portion was very small and reminded me of the type you buy frozen from places like Iceland . It did not help that the Naan bread was about 4×3 inches . First time I have eaten there and still felt hungry afterwards. Shame as nice pub and staff are always friendly and helpful.

We were recommended the Daylight Inn by a good friend and it did not disappoint. What was supposed to be a 'few' drinks, like many other reviews, ended up being an 'all nighter'!!! The atmosphere was excellent and the staff, especially the manager were exceptional. We will be returning 😁😁

Was taken there for a meal today. With my mum sister and wife. We add differant lunches and they where all great. The service was brilliant as good as 5 star restaurant in Mayfair.

Nice, lovely atmosphere on a Friday night. Ordered using the QR code on the table, and the drinks came over pretty quickly. If they have any bottles of Snickers Vodka left, buy one!!

I visited the Daylight last week, as my sports club held a meeting in its function room. Drinks were good, and service efficient. My fellow athletes and I received a warm welcome from landlord Ian. I visit the Daylight quite regularly, and it is always enjoyable. Ian and Elaine know how to run a good boozer!

Popped in for a quick drink with a couple of friends, but ended up staying until closing! The manager on duty was very friendly and bar staff were very quick and attentive, especially Ellis, who recommended a great wine. Great prices, and a lovely evening had by all. Highly recommended

This pub is pretty OK as English pubs go. A bit on the pricey side,but bar lady very pleasant and nice. Pub nice and clean too. Didn't have any food

The Daylight Inn is a fabulous pub with a great selction of beers. The atmosphere is wonderful, calm, and Elaine, the Landlady, is every guy's dream of the perfect woman!
