Waste food, service is worst, doesn’t feel the atmosphere i was expecting, total waste of money and time never ever going here again.

I used The Curry Counter to cater for my birthday party and from the initial enquiry to the food on the night they where fabulous. The food was amazing, everyone passed comment on how great it was. The portions were generous as well added bonus at a party. Definitely would use again

The Curry Counter catered for one of our work events. Showed up on time andset everything up for us. The food was amazing, not one negative review from any of our staff. Thank you. We will definitely be back.

Been there for many times, foods good but the person in the counter is not very good. Seems like she’s doing a favour to the customers. Rude approach.

Brilliant curries and samosas with plenty of taste and spiciness. Not everyone's cup of tea but the liver is cooked very well. Try it in the liver tikka. Awesome!

First time coming here and me and my family lived it. The lady was very nice and she gave us sauces and green tea on the house too. There's a really peaceful atmosphere here. And. Lovely view. The food is at a good price. You can eat in or take out. Additionally,the food has the right amount of spice. We ordered chucken masala, seekh kebab, tandoori roti and veg samosa. The samosa is very filling and has a perfect pastry. The kebabs are juicy. What a lovely place to eat. For 3 ppl, out total was below £30 which is good.and there's a toilet here too :) there's a variety of rice's here and you can see all the curries to choose from. I reccomend.

This Place is hit and miss. The staff have a sneaky way of filling your containers (Less Meat more sauce). Lack customer service If you ask them todo something for you they often ignore you and do what they want. It's really gone down hill. The only fella in there is the chef fella with a beard. An absolute legend. Really cares. Everyone else have ruined this place

The food was hot and tasty. The only negative was the amount of oil in the curries. I had to drain it before eating it.

I’m really sorry but this was honestly the worst food I have ever had in my life, never mind worst food I’ve spent money on. Genuinely so bad it made me upset. I do not waste food, that’s just how I am as a person, but I quite literally cannot get myself to finish any of this. The only edible part of my order was the naan. - saag chicken. Tasted so strongly of salt no other flavour was detectable and it was inedible. So much oil that despite the fact a lot of it spilled from the box it was in and coated the bag it was put in, there was still a layer of oil like 1cm still in the box. I tried to pick out just the chicken and wipe everything off but it still extremely salty??? - chicken pakora. Now this was deeply disappointed. Chicken pieces not properly covered in batter. Again weirdly extremely salty? Why? Tasted more like McDonald’s chicken selects than any chicken pakora I’ve had before. - tarka daal. This was unequivocally the biggest let down of the lot. The lentils were not cooked properly. Some were still hard? Also tasted .. not good. Rather bad actually. It genuinely made me feel sad. Tarka daal is one of my favourite foods EVER and this was just so so so bad. I’m sorry but it was terrible. - cheese naan and paratha. Cheese naan was ok. Paratha was bad. I have not left a bad review before, ever. I’ve worked in food before so I know how hard of a job it is. But… Never in my life has a meal made me sad but this one did it. It was like each dish was kicking me while I was still down from the previous one.

Ordered one meal for one person for £9 and one meal that was advertised for two to three people at £16. The meal for one had more meat than the larger meal which was basically a Tupperware full of rice. Really disappointed. Also it’s just dawned on me that if all their food is cold and has an option of being heated at an extra cost it’s not freshly cooked and we have no idea how long it’s been in the fridge. I will never order from here again and I suggest you try somewhere else

Easily my favourite place in Harrogate for a curry. Food is always fresh, tasty and at exceptional prices. This is restaurant quality grub with a wide range of dishes and starters on offer. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

Over priced, too oily, cold food. You have to pay extra so they can heat it for you in the Microwave..haha unbelievable. Would be less expensive for fresh hot food at any other indian restaurant. Would not recommend! Stay away!

Not a great experience. Staff were less than helpful. The meal was over priced and no heating instructions were given. I expected some form of label or leaflet giving an indication of how best to reheat at home there was none. The Bhajis were just stodge and not really edible. The Spinach curry was ok but far too much oil and an overpowering taste of fenugreek (methi) that I can still taste nearly 24 hours later. I am disappointed as I have walked past this place many times and was hoping this first experience was going to be good and make me return. It wasn't, and I won't.

So Salty and full of oil these currys are not fresh they sit out all day then new ones are mixed in. The chicken kebabs come out chewy meat and old withered salad. There prices are ridiculous 12 pound for a curry and rice but they advised it for 6.95 your days are done wont be returning.

This place has become our default destination for a takeaway curry. I like the concept; something of a deli counter for curries. So you can easily see the dishes and make your selection. Overall, the food is great, with lovely flavours. In particular, the samosas and naan bread are wonderful. As others have commented, sometimes the curries can be a bit oily. There are vegetarian and vegan options. The minor disappointment is that they feel like side dishes.

What used to be an only just acceptable price for a family Korma at £13.95 this has now rocketed to £17.95 ! Buying a single is £7.95 for why is twice the qty more than twice the price? Won`t be going back again as its far cheaper to ring somewhere else and get it delivered.

In my humble opinion, this is the one of the best curry establishments in the UK. It is no surprise to me that it is part of the Pakeeza brand - my family have used their products in our own curries since moving to the UK in the 60s. The lamb and beef masalas in particular are absolutely heavenly - the only curries I have ever purchased that rival my Grandma's authentic Punjabi curries! I would also recommend the bhajis and wide variety of pakoras they have. The staff are fantastic, I have been served by Abubakr many times and he is always very polite and friendly. I only moved to Harrogate a fortnight ago, but I cannot wait to try everything on the menu!

What an awful experience full of oil tiny portion misleading promotions. Worst currys in harrogate better to go to asda and get a microwave meal.......

Ok so 3 for the price of 2 but not really as you reduced the size of each curry so really its buy 2 get 2 .... Not sure what has happened with this place but they have got very gready bring back the last owner.

Dreadful food full of oil old dry chicken this place has turned from best in Harrogate to the worse. I got three curry’s for the price of two but it’s a mith as the portion size is so small you would need 4 curry’s to feed 2 people. This is the last time I will come here however at this rate you won’t last long......

We fancied something a little different for lunch today so decided to pop in here for a change. To start we shared a lamb kebab & Fresh crispy onion Bhajis with salad & a tub of homemade Raita which had lovely pieces of veg in it. For mains we had a garlic chicken masala & a chilli & chicken masala which was made in a not too rich sweet chilli sauce & had some lovely slices of fresh green chilli. On the side we had pilau rice, chapattis & fresh, warm garlic naan which was the tastiest we have had in a long time. All this with 2 hot drinks came to just under £22. Will certainly dine here again

literally writing a review after eating here 10 minutes later the food was amazing usually we go to Indian-asian restaurants and they use oil on every bit of food but they didn't use much compared. A bug shout-out to the staff who were amazing at service especially the the girl with blonde hair who really helped us feel welcome. This something I really look for in customer service and really appreciate the help from her. We came all the way from Aberdeen and would come here to eat again when I get the chance!

Ordered a large order to try a new place. Excited for tea arriving. I would advise to call in advance to check, especially if you are expecting your chicken tikka masala to come creamy and tomato based as you would find in most restaurants, take aways and ready meals. It was very oily (see photo), with the experience of the starter that came was bone dry. Not the experience we had hoped for

My mate brought me a selection of curry from Harrogate as he raved about it so much and I have to say it was warrented. One of the best curries I've had from a takeaway ever, only to be beaten by my mates mum.

Just had from here very spicy very expensive had bad tummy in morning avoid at all cost go to Mark's Spencer down the road nicer and cheaper

Me and my work colleague stopped here because the Premier Inn informed us the pub next door wasn't open.We drove the short distance to the place and saw the display counter showing all the dishes available.We ordered a couple of meals plus extra nibbles.The place sells the stuff cold in containers for home cooking(microwave).we told the new lad serving we were in the hotel and had no means of heating.No problem.We waited a few minutes till the lad heated our meals and took back the meals to our rooms. We both agreed that our meals were as good as any we had in any restaurants we've frequented on our work travels. Defo be back if staying again in Harrogate.

I was expecting it to be awful, but it was brilliant. Very good for fast and convenient food. Very good value. Clean and friendly staff.

Worst curry we've ever had. Threw more away than what we ate. The sauces were watery, swimming in oil and tasteless. Bhajis and naans were also poor. Very expensive for such poor quality. Save your money and go to M&S down the road and get their curry box for £10.

Five of us at work ordered curry from their Harrogate counter, and we each had a fabulous meal. I had the mattar paneer (peas and paneer in a rich curry sauce), and their wonderful vegetarian starter. There was so much to eat I'll have dinner for a second night on it, and looking forward to enjoying it again.I will definitely order from them again. Also both the woman taking the order and the delivery person were extremely polite and made me feel comfortable with recommending them to others.Great food!

We ordered a selection of the kebabs on Naans. All were delicious, great bread and awesome meat. No complaints will definitely be back!!

We popped in to get some curries to eat at home. They were very tasty, but it's a shame that the starters had wheat flour in rather than being made just with gram flour.
