We visited The Crusty Cob at lunchtime and were delighted with everything. The welcome was very friendly. The sandwiches were superb. The service could not have been better. All-in-all a very pleasant experience and highly recommended.

Excellent cafe stop 50 miles into a 100 mile bike ride. Cafe was busy and we were a large group but waitress was friendly and service was really efficient. Nice full English breakfasts at reasonable price, good coffee too. Perfect.

Decided to take a small diversion off the A1 to find some lunch and came across this place. Wanted to eat inside but there were no available tables - good sign. Ordered some takeaway sandwiches instead - a tuna sandwich and the monthly special (warm chicken fajita wrap). Great sandwiches and great value. So much better than any service station offerings. Definitely worth the small diversion off the A1.

We stopped here on the way up the A1, it being only a few minutes' drive away. There is some free parking outside but also some more free parking in Tuxford Working Men’s club, just around the corner. The cafe adjoins a sandwich and cake shop and the ladies running both were very friendly and helpful. Great coffee and a lovely full English Breakfast were quickly served up. Eggs, sausages, bacon, mushrooms, black pudding, tinned tomatoes (which I prefer), hash browns and a stack of delicious toast. The icing on the cake was a real fire. It was exactly what we had been hoping for. We had the large breafast and several drink refills. With all this, it was about £15 each, and worth it. We may very well stop in on our return trip!

I just enjoyed eggs florentine at the crusty cob, just passing through Tuxford and chose the café sort of at random. As well as friendly and quick service, the flat white I had was the absolute business (beans from Stokes of Lincoln). The cranberry and white chocolate slice finished it off nicely - CHEERS!

Stopped on route to Suffolk, very friendly and accommodating staff, opened the back patio so we could take our dog outside whilst we ate a very nice breakfast bap, nothing to much trouble. Would definitely recommend this cafe. Thank you to the staff.

The Crusty Cob is a hidden treasure! We came off the A1 looking for a cup of tea and a change of scenery from our drive and stumbled across it - we shall now make sure to mark it as a great place to stop! The first thing you notice is the bright and quirky decor and the second is the warmth of welcome from the truly delightful staff who obviously take real pride in their work and joy in making travellers and locals alike feel welcome. We had possibly the best smoked salmon and cheese bagels we have ever tasted (and we lived in the East End of London for almost 20 years). Also - our teapot was topped up and extra milk provided without even being asked - perfect service! It is certainly worth the 5 minute detour! NB free parking just round the corner at the Working Men's Club during the day - a bonus!

Came off A1 in route 'up North' after reading positive reviews. It didn't disappoint. Loved the decor. Friendly staff too. Made a welcome change from stopping at services. Hubby had full English, l had eggs benedict. Both delicious. Eggs were amazing! Both had large americano and had change from £20! Would definitely revisit.

Sometimes you get a sandwich shop with a few apologetic chairs pushed up against the wall for a café. Other times you get a draughty café exposed to the ever-opening door of the take out counter. Here they’ve done it brilliantly – a great take away shop and through a modern glazed door into a fantastic coffee shop. The décor is contemporary country, the log burner, sadly not used during our visits on a cold March day, adding a welcome touch. Menu is great – nothing too edgy but more than the basics. Service spot on. Prices right. Food great.

What a little gem, was told of the crusty cob by a friend when mentioning I fancied a good full English breakfast. On arrival was surprised with how clean and bright the cafe was, from the road it looks small but it extends to the back of the building. We ordered our food and within 10 mins it's was red hot and ready to eat.

Stumbled in here on our way home for a quick bite to eat. It was a lovely sunny day so decided to sit outside at the back. Just got seated and a great big dog started barking at us for over 10 minutes behind a gate that wasn't locked. The owner did shout from the kitchen and few times for the dog to be quiet but my elderly nan couldn't bear the loud noise.

Dropped in as an impromptu idea. Children's menu along with the adults food and drink meant we could have a family evening. Toys, crayons, colouring sheet all for the kids so the adults could relax too! Tapas. Order 3 dishes each and share, would be my advice as they are just a nice size to do that with. That was this visit, at other times we have had burger and other main choices. Quality has always been the good and the service whilst perculiar to Rondo's is good; when ordering via the weblinked table QR code. You can order at the bar if required too, I've done that in the past.

We recently had our wedding at this venue. I can honestly say we could not fault a thing. Elizabeth and Beth was extremely accommodating of our requests and made sure the day run extremely smoothly. The food was beautiful and wedding guests dietary requirements was all met. The venue and grounds are fabulous. A large group of family and friends joined us the next day for Sunday dinner to continue to celebrations, staff accommodated our large group and the food was lovely once again.
