Great family pub with lovely children's play area. Great ale and friendly and lovely staff. The only downside is they don't currently offer food. So it's something they could offer in the future. X

A proper beer pub, dogs welcome, 🐕 no food available. But nothing beats a Pint and Chat with mates

Dropped in near closing time on a BH Monday while staying in the area. Manager Chris was friendly and helpful. There are a couple of dart boards so remember to take your darts if you're visiting.

i first went in 1998 to get some knockoff baccy off a euro truck driver and big colin [misses lindsey rip.]. i haven't been in for last few years years. car park reduced. excellent new chippie and posto office newsagents. check the ceiling out -lol, trippy or wot -mad pikey alan. i got photos ov old place pre-emma , she did a good job. she now wittersham way. gotta checkouit new crown lot, bound to be the old school crowd still playing bridge darts horses footie on telle lot...laters mad pikey aL xx

Great local pub, we popped in for a couple of hours as we were staying in the village. They do not serve food, but are quite happy to order food in for you. Sara who served us and was so helpful, pleasant and friendly. The locals were also very talkative & friendly... Great couple of hours and if were ever down this way again would definitely return. 👍👍👍

Only popped in for a drink whilst waiting for a take away, it was quiet with one small group inside and another outside. Well furnished and pleasant atmosphere. Fast and friendly service.

Bloody wonderful, cracking staff

Friendly place for a pint. Two sides to the bar as well as ample outdoor seating. Limited parking but on street parking is usually available in the vicinity. A community pub in the heart of St Michael's.

We had a great evening with friends, eating a drinking, the platter was excellent for the price and tasted amazing,good pub grub. Great deal on the wine, two large glasses get the rest of the bottle free.

I visited the Crown yesterday with my children for breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was lovely and good quality. There is a good choice on the menus and it is reasonably priced. The portions were a good size and they also catered for the children too. The pub was spotless and all the staff were following the covid guidelines correctly which is a big tick for us. Would recommend and definitely will be visiting again

Nice pub but draught ale not great

As “northerners” we are not always accepted “down south”. However the staff and the regulars in the Crown made us feel welcome and we had a lovely evening. We will definitely visit again when we are in the area next time.

Only place in Tenterden to watch any live sports.

Small, but nice pub. A fairly good selection of cider & beer. Friendly bar staff. The only real downside was limited car parking, but don't let that put you off.

Probably best in the town. Visited twice and enjoyed Friday evening crowd for a bustling little Kentish town.

Marvellous- went there to watch Man City v Liverpool. Liverpool won. Great night

Harry and Kate are probably the friendliest and best hosts you could ask for - if you are lucky enough to be in walking distance then I can't see it being any better than that of an evening

Amazing place, there really is nowhere else locally that competes. If you are looking for a friendly, local pub with great locals and owners, drink here. There's always something on, darts, race nights and all sorts, love it. See you there!

We moved to St Michaels from Beckenham 9 months ago, we thought we would see what the local pub was like, Harry & Kate made us feel like regulars from the first visit. We love the pub so much that when friends & family visit we always take them to the pub. We would recommend anyone planning a visit to Tenterden to travel just a little further down the road to this lovely pub.

Harry and Kate are creating a good pub, with value for money food, good beer, friendly service and a good atmosphere.
