The Crown At Iverley in Dudley

Sunday lunch is absolutely gorgeous every time. The service is great too. Not sure of her name but lady with brown straight hair and braces might be a manager as she wears a different top to the other girls. She is so good, perfect customer service always lovely can’t do enough for you.

It was a Saturday impromptu late lunch/early dinner. We felt welcomed, the food was perfect, good service from friendly attentive staff, Joss was outstanding, professional, helpful and her natural warmth shone through. We were glad we stopped by, it was well worth the visit and we will go back.

A return visit after a not so good previous experience. What a turn around! Our table was near the fire and this area was warm and cosy. Almost immediately we felt relaxed and comfortable. Our drinks arrived in good time. Staff on point and efficient and we were not disappointed when the food arrived. Beautifully cooked, hot plates and fabulous flavours. Perfect. We’re so pleased we gave The Crown a ‘second chance” to impress. We’ll definitely be back soon!

It was my first time eating at The Crown. The pub itself is very nice. The service we received was very good. The atmosphere in the pub is very relaxed, although I will say that where I sat next to some locked glass doors that led out to an area that wasn't being used, that there is one hell of a draft coming through those doors. The food was good, I had the tomato soup for starters and in my opinion, it was a little bit spicy, to the point that I could barely taste the tomato. For my main course, I had the steak, which was cooked to perfection 😋. There was a large steamed tomato that accompanied the steak. I tried a bit of the tomato, which tasted a bit strange and then gave my wife some to confirm my concerns, we both agreed that the tomato tasted odd.
