Enjoyed an authentic British pub lunch here on our first day in England on our drive to Bath. Perfect place to get us ready for our British adventure! Toasties and Guinness! It was very cozy and traditional inside. Service was friendly and attentive and the food was really good and reasonably priced. Toasties, we learned, are basically grilled cheese sandwiches but with modifications. This one included small bits of white onion and was really good with the fries! We also enjoyed their sister restaurant in Bath, the Pig and Fiddle in Bath which was also quite good but their Toasties had green scallions! Recommend both for a quick, tasty lunch!

Sunday lunch. It was a shambles. An hour and ten minutes to get food and then it was all way over cooked. A lack of kitchen staff meant rubbish food. Even after they took off some money it was £90 for 4 people for food we didn’t eat but drinks were fine. Looks like one to avoid for Sunday lunch.

We had a delicious meal here the other evening. OK so it was only fish and chips, but it was excellently cooked and presented and the service was great too. Desserts were very good and generous portions. Clean toilets too. Couldn’t fault it

I'm truly saddened to learn about the closure of this venue. Whenever I visited Bristol for work, it was my top choice for dining. The staff here has consistently exceeded my expectations, with many of them having been a part of my visits for years. Issy, Daniel and Luke have consistently delivered exceptional service, always greeting me with a warm smile and a touch of humor. Their natural ability in customer service is remarkable. As this chapter closes, I can only hope that they find suitable employment in a similar industry where their talents can continue to shine. This establishment has consistently provided great quality and value in both food and drinks, making it a memorable part of my Bristol experiences.

although the building looks run down and the shop out dated, the food is quite fresh tastes ok and is reasonably priced, however besides one blonde lady the staff are rude and quite short. they are supposed to close at 4 but normally are closed by about 3:50. the donut selection is random I never know what they will or wont have id go greggs if it was closer

The second they bring you disgusting processed mustard in a plastic sachet you've got an instant clue to the level you're dealing with. And it's not premium. The cut, quality and prep of the meat was dubious, the veggies variable, some quite nice. The crumble really oversugared likely packet derived bleurrgh. The portion size was excellent. Service slightly confusing I couldn't tell who to order from or ask for things different people seemed to be doing different things puzzling. Also seemed to be quite a bit of waiting around considering they didn't seem busy. They were pleasant though. Really overpriced for what it is. I paid extra for cauli cheese and stuffing. Yorkshire pud is extra too! Everything extra! I feel a bit ripped off tbh I paid £61 for 2 roasts 1 pudding and 2 soft drinks and it was really average..

Grubby, shabby in every way. Frozen vegetables, poor or little service. Plates at the carvery were dirty. Chaos service, all running around clueless
