been too long since we ate at the cricketers inn ,we went last night and it won't be long before we go again .made very welcome ,served quickly and enjoyed a fantastic pie for my husband and salad for myself .i have never had a salad like it ,it was fantastic ,so tasty ,topped with a chicken breast it surpassed any expectation.would not hesitate to recommend and will be back soon .

Nice little pub with a good-looking food menu. Unfortunately, only half the menu was available as everything had run out.

I visit this pub for the second time and I really liked everything, the waiters are very attentive and recommend very tasty dishes! I recommend this pub!I recommend trying lasagna, fish and chips, Sausages & Mash, Steak and Venison Pie!

I used to frequent mcaffertys regularly and have switched allegiances to the Cricketeers! The staff are soooo friendly and welcoming. I’m always greeted when I come in and Simon in particular is superb. The food is good and reasonably priced. Ample and cosy seating, and a great selection of real ales and other drinks. Situated right by the pond and dog friendly, too. Great place for a drink, nibble and to bring the family. Best pub in the area? Hard to disagree…

First time visiting this establishment. We had a big family party and had our own area downstairs which was perfect as there were quite a few of us. We ordered food which I must say considering it was busy, was brought out to us promptly and tasted amazing and there was plenty of it. Staff were friendly and always popping in to our area to clean glasses and plates. Will definitely be coming again. Thank you!

Just had a fantastic experience at my local pub, Stepping through the doors, the warm glow and friendly buzz instantly put me at ease. The pub itself is a delight – cozy nooks with comfy armchairs beckoned for a longer stay, while the worn wooden bar held a certain charm. The staff were top-notch. Friendly and attentive, they made everyone feel welcome. Whether it was a quick hello or a chat about the day's news, they struck the perfect balance. Of course, no pub experience is complete without a good drink. The selection at was impressive, with a wide range of beers on tap and a decent selection of wines and spirits. I opted for a Markers mark, and it was perfectly poured and delicious. But what truly elevates The Cricks is the atmosphere. It's a place where regulars and newcomers mix seamlessly, fostering a genuine sense of community. Whether catching up with friends or simply enjoying a quiet pint after work, it caters to all. Overall, this is a fantastic local pub that deserves all the praise. I can't wait for my next visit!

Arrived at a rather difficult time with a rugby game in progress so the pub was full. However we managed to find a big table on the upper floor. As a foreigner who hasnt visited many English pubs I mus say I liked the atmosphere. Food was OK but not special, best choice was the beef rib. Gammon steak was interesting but very salty and not tastier than Smoked ham (although looked a lot like it). Burger OK. I liked the sweet potato tiger fries. I believe the place would be even better in the summer when sitting outside by the lake,

Just had a meal at the cricketers pub epsom. Food was really nice to be fair & a big shout out to our waiter ( think his name was Luke) who seemed to be the only person in the restaurant doing all the waiting on tables & clearing them whilst the remaining staff sat by the stairs chatting & laughing. After waiting ages for someone to check if we wanted to pay our bill I went downstairs to wait even longer as the other staff still chatting & laughing, ignored me standing there for ages. A bald guy who was also chatting & laughing in the group ( manager I think) eventually noticed me & got our waiter to come. It’s a shame as apart from Luke who seemed to be doing everyone else’s jobs as well as his own the customer service wasn’t what I’d of expected for a Mother’s Day meal. Pity as I liked the food but customer service could be much better apart from our waiter who served us.

The entire team displayed a genuine care for their guests, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.

It's OK, not so good for vegetarians since the new menu came in unfortunately.

We went inside at 14:00 thinking it would be quiet. Tables reserved for noisy family about 10, and very loud, we couldn’t even talks. so we decided to go out side in the freezing cold. The pie called the steak and venison was “finished” and we never got any attendance or cutlery or condiments sitting outside ( we were the only ones outside) the pies looked like the pies you can get from co-op but tasted like they came from Lisl. The outside heating has a timer so we had to keep turning it on. Yea environmental crisis but don’t have an outside area then?! How disappointing. Won’t be back ! If we decide we rather go for fish and chips in summer because better service and you can’t go wrong with fish and chips (I would hope)!

Today we had a wonderful Sunday roast at the cricketers inn. Our dog enjoyed the doggie roast too! Great service and lovely friendly staff. We will definitely be back :)

Yo ho, fellow pub crawlers! Just docked at The Cricketers Inn in Epsom, and let me tell you, it's a captain's delight! The atmosphere? Warmer than a pirate's booty, buzzing with friendly faces and laughter that'd put a mermaid to shame. But the real treasures here are the staff, namely Naise and Ed. Naise, she's got a smile that could charm a kraken out of its cave, and a wit sharper than a cutlass. Remembered my order after one visit (and it wasn't just rum punches!), making me feel like a regular even before I was. Ed, the barkeep extraordinaire, spins drinks like a pirate spins yarns. Show him yer taste buds, and he'll concoct a potion so good, it'll have you singing sea shanties till sunrise.

The chef 👩‍🍳 is amazing food has really improved this year, love eating here now. Fish and Chips 👌🏽♥️

It's alright, decent atmosphere... bit expensive compared to other local pubs, and they are asking for tips on their machines now for pouring pints which I don't agree with

Lovely pub, with great food and the staff are all so friendly and work really hard. Simon and Kerry are two of the staff who always make a point of making us feel welcome , but they are all great! Go often for drinks and sometimes food, the best and cheapest Sunday roast in the area!

It’s a nice warm and cosy pub, however.. the food portions are tiny. I ordered fish and chips and got about 11 chips on my plate. Also, there was no music it was a ‘talk sport’ quiz that no one was interested in.

I visit here about once a fortnight. I haven’t eaten here but stop for a couple of pints. Well kept cask ales. Warm atmosphere & helpful cheerful staff. Smashing coal fires inside to keep you warm! Cosy & friendly

Thank you for a great fun evening. Came here for a friends birthday for drinks. There was a wonderful friendly atmosphere, the drinks came quickly and the barmaids were so bubbly and lovely. They went above and beyond for us. One of them was called Kayley - sorry if I spelt that wrong - best ever! Haha thank you.

Fabulous service. Lady was on her own today 12/11 but nothing was a problem. She was welcoming and cheery. We had a lovely table reserved by the window upstairs overlooking the stream and ducks. Cosy beautiful pub. Lovely decor. Roast dinner was spot on and rhubarb crumble delicious. Couldnt fault any of it but i think the lady serving us, although very busy provided really great service. Will definitely return.

We visit The Cricketers in Epsom occasionally and have never been disappointed with the food or the service.

Roast dinner abismal, the amount of roast beef was so small you could give it to a toddler, mash potato tasted instant, parsnips as small as french fries and all if it was cold.

It started off rather nice, friendly greeting We ordered starter sweet potato falafel the broccoli Tenderstem was missing. Afterwards for main course we ordered the signature dish of Irish Connemara mussels. I took one bite and I could tell by look and taste these were not Connemara mussels and they are frozen. It had been marinating during defrosting in its own juices and quite frankly was inedible. The mussels were tiny and completely shrivelled and there was a very unpalatable strong old fishy taste. I called the waitress with the lovely red hair and said I couldn’t eat it as it was way too old fishy taste. She went to the kitchen with my plate and I heard a roar of laughter. Then when she came to take my order I ordered fish and chips to which her sarcastic reply was ‘that might be too fishy ‘ I thought that was really rude and was quite shocked that a paying customer gets mocked by the staff and in a loud voice so all the people could hear it. I wish I had been less polite. I should have said ‘ does the chef also cook the cod in the same swamp marinade as the mussels ?’ My partner was also very disappointed and said it was pretty disgusting. But he doesn’t like to complain. I have been a Chef for many years and I know what Connemara mussels should taste like. We won’t be going there again. Rude and the kitchen staff need cooking lessons. I really don’t think it is ok for a customer to be ridiculed just because the dish they ordered was inedible.

Perhaps one of my favourite places to eat in Epsom, the staff are just amazing, Kerry who I’m told is also the manager was just incredible, really warm and made our visit fun. Great food, great atmosphere and such a great location next to the pond. I only have good things to say about the cricketers, highly recommend visiting for both locals and visitors to the area.

I have not been here for years so we decided to book for Saturday lunch time after seeing good reviews. 4 of us & our dog. We had a lovely lunch downstairs. The lightbite fishcake came with a massive salad, the lamb shank was delicious. My girlfriend ordered mussels of which there were an amazing portion of. The apple crumble was so nice too. (Lots of apple & crispy crumble) We had very friendly staff who served us & we will be back.. Thanks Guys ❤️

We had ordered a buffet at £16 a head with a mix of meat/vegetarian/vegan food. We were very disappointed. The plates were put on the table in random order so no one actually knew what was what (staff included, one of whom told me a plate of sandwiches was vegetarian when it had chicken in it). For £16 I had one small plate of what I assumed was vegetarian food! Absolutely not worth the money. On the plus side, it was great to have a small area in the pub for our group but forget the buffet. Pub itself is set in a pretty location on the green by the duck pond with walks to the common.

Beautiful location and pub, but the staff were very rude and unfriendly (especially the woman who I assumed to be the manager). The buffet food was very expensive for the quality, and none of the staff seemed to know which was vegetarian/vegan or meat. It might be beneficial if the kitchen staff put a note with the food to assist customers and bar staff with this. The glasses were also very dirty.

This is a tough one to give a star rating to because somethings were good, others less so. We ate here at lunchtime and the pub seemed very quiet, though there may have been customers outside, but despite his service was very slow, albeit friendly. I had the bass with prawns and it was better than average, and I enjoyed it. The Eton mess wasn’t really as it was just a glass of ice cream, covered with cream with a coup,e of strawberries and topped with a meringue, a bit like the Morecombe and Wise gag, all the right things but not in the right place. They need to be lovingly blended. They had a good selection of beer and it is a pretty pub on the outside

The senior team behind the bar really make this Stonegate pub feel more like an old school local pub, with great food. Super dog friendly, but also has a restaurant area for at table service away from the bar (and dogs). Weekdays have quiz and real ale night, well worth a visit.

Great experience at the cricketers, food was excellent and the waiting staff were unbelievably helpful with all of our requests, Chef Stewart was extremely professional and creative when I requested something that wasn’t in the menu and hand delivered the food himself! I hate the fact that I am having to do this considering every time we have been to this pub it has been amazing but today I don’t know what happened maybe a bad day for them or something god knows but the way we were treated today was absolutely disgusting… I have never had any complaints about this pub before until today. I don’t know necessarily if it was the bar staff but either way the regular customers the looks and the way they were talking about us. It was absolutely disgusting. I don’t work in a particularly great work environment, but I know for damn certain none of my customers or my staff will talk about customers like that in front of them where they could hear. If you want to talk about people behind closed doors away from them fine do that we all do we are human, but in front of paying customers it is disgusting. I work in hospitality business. I should know this for certain you put a smile on your face. You serve the customers with respect if you have a reason to throw them out throw them out then do so they are paying customers they pay your wages respect them that’s all they ask, I have never had to write a review about disgusting behaviour in the workplace. I read many of them, but always thought nowhere around here would be like that, but oddly the one place I genuinely thought wouldn’t be is this is not appreciated as paying customers who have loved coming here for years, but I’ll say whether or not we return is a completely other story. The staff need to do their job. Put a Smile on your face and be nice to customers if they’re trying to talk to you don’t interrupt them and tell them to go away is not really fair… the fact that it was a regular member of staff who we have had no issues with before and who we have thought is genuinely really nice. It’s upsetting we have love all the staff in there till this day being treated disrespectfully does not go well everyone will say we understand we get treated respectfully. If you’re being treated respectfully then shouldn’t you treat the customers in the same behaviour today was disgusting like I said whether we return or not is a different story

Very disappointing that you feel the need to charge an extra 50p for a dash of lime cordial in a pint. Not sure how it can be justified and it’s out of step with most pubs in the area, in fact many pubs in general.

This Inn is a lovely place to visit if you're in the area. It has a garden, so you can have a drink outside in nice weather. This place does really tasty food. We ordered our food via its app, so we ordered at our table. It was a bit slow coming to us but it was quite busy today. Friendly staff with a smile.

Cricketers Inn is a lovely pub opposite a village green. It has become our favourite place for Sunday Lunch which is amazing! The beer garden is very pretty with plenty of seats. The staff are very friendly. Nice atmosphere nice people.

If I could give this 0 I would do. They expected kids to wait 2 hours for their food. Avoid at all costs until they sort out their staffing issues. Will never go back there.

We came for lunch a couple of weeks ago after a dog walk and had a nice lunch which was good value for £7.50. This time the service was much different and so slow when it did not appear busy for people eating. The food was not nearly as good with smaller portions at £8.50 with the chips not hot but no one came to check our meal and as the meal took that long to come it was not worth trying to find someone. Would not recommend on this visit.
