I've been here around four times since it opened. It is potentially a nice cafe, with good seating arrangements and sliding doors that can open up completely onto the park. But the coffee is always really awful: incredibly weak with a rather nasty taste (and no crema). It is 'real' coffee that tastes almost identical to instant coffee and which is much worse than that served even in the really big chains - which is not good enough when it costs over £3 a cup. As other reviewers have noted, the staff are pleasant enough but also young and inexperienced - and they are seemingly forever changing. The managers need to employ someone who knows how to work a proper coffee machine or else to source some proper barista training for those they already employ.

Nice little spot in the park with out door seating. Nicely done out. Staff serving were young but ok, could be a little more confident whilst serving. Food my friend wanted wasn’t ready so she had to have a different choice. Very reasonable prices. Food was nice. Overall quite nice.

Decent prices for hot food. Dog allowed. Very child friendly. Near park. Lots of tables Food everywhere which the dog loved. Cake for £3 which seemed a bit steep considering a cheeseburger is £4. Either way it’s now my favourite cafe in the area. Will return.

A lovely location in Wades Park. Sadly, whilst the food was ok, the service was poor. Our lunch order appeared to be “lost” and we were eventually served 45 minutes after ordering what is basically ‘fast food’.

We have been to this cafe several times after football practice on a Saturday. Very good for kids and they are used to people having muddy boots. Lovely cake, food and coffee with a great view of the park.

We took the kids for a breakfast for the first time and we liked the cafe. It has plenty of formal and relaxed seats, along with lots of high-chairs for the little ones. There is a lot of choices and the full English was delicious. Service can be a little slow and the food took 25 mins to arrive - it was busier that morning.

This is the third time at the crew cafe and food has been very fresh and tasty. The price is very reasonable and the staff very welcome and willingness to please. We will return in the future.

My friends & I have been eating here regularly for years now - I recommend it to anyone who enjoys Indian or Nepalese cuisine (a good selection of really tasty dishes, good value and catering for different levels of spicy 'heat') and they're serving some more 'traditional' pub fare again now, too. They know how to look after their ales and have a selection of lagers, plus cider and all the usual drinks you'd expect to find in a pub. The staff are great - friendly & helpful, get to know their regulars and I've lost count of the number of times that I've just been thinking that "I ought to go and order food" when, as if by magic, someone will appear to take my order. The place is divided into separate 'restaurant' and 'pub' sections, with a good-sized beer garden in front, so you can pick your preferred setting for food &/or drink. There's a decent car park in front, too, with free parking for customers.

Turned up for a late lunch with the family, told 'we don't do food, haven't for years'. Decided to stay for a drink; slow service, rude (bar staff just stood there staring at us), and then some kid tried to sell us drugs from a menu on his phone. Real classy place. Certainly won't be returning.

Superb food. Service was good but the truffle chips are a waste of money so don't bother. A very solid 8.5/10

We stopped by after a long hike along Chiltern Hills and we didn’t regret a bit - the food of chef El, the service of lovely Cynthia and the overall kind hearted atmosphere of the place was incredible - just what you need after a long walk!
