I love coming here! Absolutely incredible atmosphere!!! The best pub in town, staff lovely and welcome, always polite and smiling! Great community here and lovely events!

The bar staff were nice, allowed me to have a peaceful drink while ordering from the pop up food market which was amazing!

Fantastic little pub with tonnes of atmosphere. Welcoming staff and superb well kept ales at good prices. The decor is clean, classy and just feels right. This is the third Oak Taverns pub we've visited, the others being the Cross Keys at Thame and Wallingford. Usually I hate PubCo's, they create soulless expensive dumps that you visit once and never return to. This Co. though has absolutely nailed what it takes and seems to have a collection of fantastic individual pubs that really hit the spot. Just wish we lived nearer!

The Bird in Hand is a beautiful pub just on the outskirts of Princes Risborough. Excellently served beer and a warm and inviting atmosphere, the pub is full of quirky artefacts and relics of its historic past.

Nice pub with a good range of drinks but unusually does not do food apart from crisps & nuts. Lovely beer garden which we visited on a hot Sunday lunchtime. Is a walkable distance from the Chinnor & Princes Risborough heritage railway.

Locals pub on an estate but with a short walk of the railways station. Good real ale and a limited food menu.

You can tell this pub is well-loved and looked after. Great ale selection and friendly staff. A great place to go after a long walk.

Visited the Bird in Hand on 30th April 2024 after a recommendation by a local CAMRA branch member who I met a couple of weeks earlier in High Wycombe. The pub is spotlessly clean and very welcoming with an excellent beer garden that is neat and tidy. The landlord has put a lot of effort to create a great place to drink. The cost of drinks themselves is very reasonable for a town in the home counties. Two local brews were on sale, from Tring and Chiltern breweries both very well kept in great condition. There was very much a 1940s theme about the pub too; from the landlady's hairstyle and attire, the background music and memorabilia on the walls. A great place to chill and I would definitely recommend the Bird in Hand to anyone in the area. An absolute great place to relax and unwind. Just a pity it's a bit to far from where I live to regularly visit, however not impossible with Princes Risborough being only 45 minutes from Central London by train.

Nice small pub, service, good beer selection, a TV to watch the game… They have a couple of very effective boot scrapers at the door, if you come back muddy from a walk and want a pint

They don't serve food except pizza on Fridays. Gents stank of urine and toilet seat was wet with it so I walked out, no way I was even going there. Not a great first impression.

Brilliant Community focused pub. Great drinks, people, management and staff. Excellent variety in all the pop up food and lots of fun to be had here. One of the few pubs that really care about their wines, too!!

Looking for somewhere for a bite to eat on Saturday night and happened across the Bird In Hand. Very friendly and welcoming staff, lovely atmosphere and nice fish & chips!! I wish all pubs made you feel like it was your local!

First time visit. Staff were welcoming and professional and the other customers were friendly and engaging. Would recommend Bitd in Hand. 10/10!

Absolutely exceptional pub. Staff are brilliant and so welcoming, pub is immaculate and facilities are great both indoors and outdoors! Went for the bbq brothers outdoor food event and it was 10/10! Great food, great drinks and great atmosphere! Well worth a visit!

Good food a wonderful atmosphere and not overly pricey

Cannot recommend here highly enough! The landlady and her partner were so welcoming and friendly. The staff were fantastic and service was great. The whole place is immaculate and has a brilliant atmosphere. We only stopped in for a quick drink but ended up chatting with lots of friendly locals and had a fantastic time! The board games which are free for customers to use were a lovely touch!

We called into this little pub when our train to London was cancelled at Princes Risborough. It was a short walk from the station to the Bird In Hand so we sought shelter there while we made alternative travel arrangements. The owners were extremely welcoming and offered advice on local taxi firms and where best to travel to in order to continue our journey to London. The pub has a great atmosphere and the locals were as welcoming as the hosts.

Very friendly welcoming pub. Not at all adverse to soggy hiking gear having taken a detour from The Ridgeway national trail that runs close by. Passionately dog friendly even throwing another log in the wood burner to help warm the poor mutt up :) Recommended AAA+++

Since the new landlady stepped in, this pub has just got better and better. It’s the perfect local pub to meet people in a friendly atmosphere. Expect noise, fun and even some dancing. Lots of special nights are organised and always a great laugh. Everyone is welcomed. Love it.

Popped in with my husband for a drink or two in the garden as it was a lovely sunny day. We entered the pub to be greeted by smiley friendly staff, we both signed in using the NHS app. We ordered our drinks and they were bought out to us in the pretty garden by one of the lovely staff members. We enjoyed our drinks in the relaxed atmosphere of the garden. There were many other customers also in the garden. What a great evening we had and can’t wait to go back.

Great to see this lovely community pub back open 7 days a week after lockdown. A big thank you to Charlotte and all her staff for setting and maintaining a high standard in ccompliance with the Government guidelines. Made for a very safe and enjoyable experience and the 'make over' to the garden and out door seated area a big bonus. Love all the plants and vegetables.👍

Staff were friendly and provided a good service. Nice to have a dog friendly pub too. Atmosphere is very warm and homely. Will be going back again. Drink prices on the higher end but for the scenery and fabulous outdoor seating it is worth it.

We attend the quiz here on a Wednesday evening fairly regularly. We like this pub as it has a lovely friendly feel to it. It is small and cosy and we always feel welcome. The staff are lovely, the bar snacks tasty and it has a good range of drinks, especially gin. I reccomend.

Always loved this pub and the new owners have done a great job renovating. Outside space feels like a swiss chalet and it is still full of the time served locals, which says it all.

A small pub close to the railway station which makes a handy stop on the way back from commuting. The mainstay of the Bird, though, is the regulars from the nearby streets and tradespeople working nearby. A proper local!

Plenty of choices for gin lovers and there is a pop up food experience every month or so. The new owners have really made an effort to think of new ideas to bring people to the pub.
